Hey remember when this site didn't have 3 tabs in the IC threads? Crazy.

I feel like Myriad Reality is somehow the secret glue holding this entire site together

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

Question: can our characters wield the Void? It greatly intrigues me.

Within certain parameters? Perhaps. Within Thorisa, any magic that falls under 'void' categorization is not blatantly observable as void magic, which is to say that you may not actually be able to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are actually harnessing void energy.

I would advise against it at any rate. Void energy has a tendancy to corrupt the soul (Relative Ki) body and mind (Arcane network) to the point of hopelessness. There are really only two outcomes for a void user, extensive corruption, or outright death.

I'm open to discuss it, though.

I'm glad to see there's been more interest! I'll leave this check up for a couple more days, at which point I'll put together an OOC.
"Arcana?" Ezekial murmured, glancing out at the woods, "How could this be? You were with us until just recently. If something has placed a spell on you, they must be nearby, unless.." Ezekial spun around 180 degrees, slowly scanning every bit of rugged terrain he could. There were plenty of small hills and withered trees to hide behind, but with enough diligence, nothing would be able to keep from the eyes of two knights. If this presence were truly casting such a hex from within the woods however, there was no telling what kind of beast they would be dealing with. "If you plan on heading into the woods, you cannot do so alone. Allow me to fetch Henry to aid our search. He should be well rested enough after our trip."

As Ezekial spoke, the mist bloomed up once again. This time however, it streamed past Mikhael like a snake, and headed straight for the cart where Joshua, Lillian, Henry, and Lucas were stationed. A faint hissing noise sounded as it darted past the two knights, but once again, the mist vanished without a trace as quickly as it had appeared. Ezekial began making his way towards the cart without waiting for a response from Mikhael.
This time the clone dodged and jumped several meters behind Jenso, turning to face him front the other side of the room. Two of the orb-pawns then moved forward to either of Jenso's sides and began to spark with purple electricity.

"I should note that this is not a normal game of chess! I would tell you the rules... But oh, what fun would that be? Hahaha!"
Ezekial smiled and nodded, but frowned when Mikhael brought up the topic of mist. "I have a fondness for our Queen and her methods that cannot be circumvented by mere error. It is only human to err, after all, and despite objections, our Queen is still very much... A human, at her core. I suspect this silence has something to do with Rajaka's presence, that man looked as if he could shake the very earth with his footsteps. Perhaps he'd scared off the wildlife while trudging through Kale's surroundings.." Ezekial paused and stood at Mikhael's side, watching the crimson forest's edge carefully. "I do not see this mist you speak of though, Mikhael. Are you feeling alright?"

Despite Ezekials blindness, the mist grew thicker. It became clearer over time that its origin was from within the forest before them, but just as quickly as the mist had thickened, it began to disperse, clearing up in a matter of moments.

"If not, I suggest you get some rest. I can keep watch in your stead. Lily will not bother you while she is also asleep."
@Guilty Spark I'm not 100% on that yet, but depending on the amount of people interested, it could be either or. Though, I'm still debating on how to structure the plot.

I may have this take place sometime after the initial SS, or around the time where the old SS left off.
And yet again, Jenso's fist was blocked by an energy barrier, knocking him further away from the Queen.

"Tsk tsk tsk! Wait your turn you silly buffoon!" Ada teases, waggling her finger and shaking her head mockingly, "Have you never played a game before? You're being very rude!" The clone that attacked Jenso then stood up straight and went idle again. Ada waited patiently for Jenso to make his move. He didn't have as many pieces as her though, how was he supposed to win?
@Guilty Spark Love that enthusiasm, hehe.
