People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

Durwith turned away from his fellow Dwarves and smiled ear-to-ear, more happy to see Felix than the mead that he so generously carried over to him and Lorges. Lorges on the other hand, rushed out of his chair and snatched his drink from Felix's hand with a happy grunt before promptly guzzling it down like the gluttonous fool that he was. The pudgy little Dwarf turned to Durwith with the mug still held to his mouth, ignoring his judgmental gaze as he shrugged and continued drinking.

"Felix! It's been quite the while, aint it, boy? How've yeh been?" Durwith chanted, shooing off the elves and Dwarves that surrounded their table with curious ears. Several glanced at Felix, but payed him no mind. Many knew him as the overeager little humie, and nothing more, but Durwith and Lorges knew better.
Mikey released the hold on his torrent of water and huffed heavily inside of his bubble, scanning the field for any sign of Jenso. He spotted him right afterwards, bursting through the air like a rocket towards the ground. What in the world? Using fire magic to propel himself? Was he crazy? Mikey knew fire was far too powerful to control with precision. Jenso wouldn't be able to land properly, but Mikey wasn't quick enough, and was a little exhausted after that last torrent. Next time he used that rocket jump though, Mikey would be ready to finish it with a pin-point focused torrent.

Mikey stopped attacking for a moment and breathed deeply, waiting for his energy to return to him. It was strange. Usually, magic users, once drained, couldn't use magic anymore. How was Mikey restoring his energy pool so easily after so many strong attacks, all while keeping that bubble up?
Mikey's torrent of water smashed right through the white tile and struck Jenso head on like a beam of energy. It pushed and pushed, at which point Mikey tried to keep the stream up, in an attempt to knock Jenso right out of the arena with one strong attack.
Mikey wasn't letting any of this shenanigans go down.

As Jenso soared through the air, Mikey did the unthinkable. He simply dispelled his bubble and fell towards the ground, Dodging Jenso's strike before re-summoning his bubble as he crashing into the ground, only to bounce back up yet again. Jenso's continued attacks were becoming predictable now, especially from below. Mikey may have been relatively immobile while he was in the air, but if Jenso was up there two, then neither of them could hit each other! Not if Mikey didn't allow it. However, Mikey got back into the air a lot fast than Jenso was able to fall, like a bouncing ball, and immediate launched a torrent of water towards Jenso, leading him slightly for a sure-fire hit.
The square spun towards him, but Mikey was prepared this time. With a slight movement of his hand, he slapped it out of the air with a lash of water, sending it towards the ground. The razor-sharp square impaled the ground of the arena nearby, and Mikey was unharmed, and seemed to stay floating. Now Mikey was keeping an eye on Jenso. He was running around and exhausting a lot of energy, but Mikey was safe up in the sky if he kept his wits about him. Those Squares were easy to deflect with his water whips, and Jenso was too far away to evaporate his shield with a heat aura. He just sat up in the air, and waited for his energy to stabilize.
Mikey looked up and jumped aside, running away from Jenso after using his superior agility to avoid taking a brutal strike from the hefty hitter. After a few seconds, the water around his body expanded again, and he bounced himself high into the air a second time, floating in place yet again.

"Phew!"

Mikey looked down at Jenso and aimed his handed forward. From the front of his newly formed bubble, a torrent of water launched towards Jenso in a more beam-like shape, even faster and stronger than before. Mikey was straining himself at this point, but he was focused on trying to take Jenso down as quickly as possible.
The warmth grew, and then faded, over and over until it was in tune with her body heat. In moments, it almost felt as if she were holding nothing, like the shield had lost all of its weight for a split second. And then, it went heavy again, but not before it murmured something, reaching deep into her mind.

"Restore... Me..."

Entirely vague and not helpful in the least. Fuso slammed the ground of his hut and called out to Lystra again, trying his best to snap her attention away from the shield she'd unearthed earlier in the evening. "Lystra!"
Mikey looked up at the spinning square as it fell towards him like a disc, and noticed Jenso moving around him. Jenso wasn't on fire, but the heat from his body was starting to spin rapidly, and gather. Mikey couldn't follow Jenso, and his bubble began to thin out. Fortunately, the spinning debris that Jenso threw was light enough for Mikey to simply kick away. He jumped up, dispelled his bubble in its entirety with a loud Pop and kicked the white square towards Jenso with a backflip, before landing back on the ground, and coating himself in a thin layer of cold water. "Haha.. Hey, smart move," He whispered, waiting for his water to cool his body down before he moved again.

The Infamous Farndale Slaughter

The sky was brimming with activity as the start of spring rolled its way into Farndale. Blue birds and soft, fluffy clouds lined the sky, floating in from the western plains with streams of sunlight highlighting their most intricate features. The first day of spring was always lively, and the citizens of Farndale were in high spirits, as per the norm.

The market district buzzed powerfully, merchants from the four kingdoms, and the many villages that spotted Izania Plains, were lined up to trade in the wonderful city of Farndale, looking for the best deals, and the most plentiful wares. The city was the cornerstone of the entire continent, sitting in the center of what most considered to be the four most powerful nations in the entire world, acting as the primary trading hub for anyone with enough coin to pique the interest of the rich, or vaguely well-off.

Of course, Farndale was also home to some of the poorest, and least prepared people in the continent, namely, the vagabonds and fools that considered themselves adventurers. Truth was, none of them really left the borders of the massive trade city, not for more than a day, anyways. The Izania plains were a dangerous place for the unprepared if you strayed from the main paths, after all. But among the cowardly and boastful chumps, there were a few prosperous individuals that held potential. Felix was one of those few, an orphaned boy who called Farndale his home, and took any chances he could get to speak with the real adventurers that passed through on a daily basis. Dwarves, elves, humans and even some of the less prosperous races like the Yevin and the Orcs. It was always a variable bunch, and many of them were always willing to part with advice or stories of their travels to those who were willing to listen.

Felix found himself headed for the local adventurer's guild, where his old pals, Durwith and Lorges were bound to show up. Today was the first day of spring, after all! Dwarves practically flooded Farndale to get a taste of the seasonal mead that would be sold over the next few weeks.

Honey Dew Brew.
The flame was rose, but did little to damage Mikey's bubble. The unfocused and chaotic flames simply wrapped around him and faded, his bubble merely moving slightly against the impact. As Jenso moved to punch, his fist was stopped short by the water that surrounded Mikey, and he was launched back by a sudden shock wave, similar to the one that launched him away when the bubble first formed. "Not going to work, Jenso!" Mikey taunted, spinning towards Jenso a moment after his attack. It was true that Mikey couldn't keep up with Jenso on his own, but his water was much quicker than him, and his control over it made it impossible to simply overpower with chaotic fire attacks. His shield was ultimate!

"My battle bubble disperses the power of chaotic attacks with ease! Its my only way of fighting guys like you, who rely on their intense power and speed over control. As long as I'm in here, you can't hurt me!"
