Hey remember when this site didn't have 3 tabs in the IC threads? Crazy.

I feel like Myriad Reality is somehow the secret glue holding this entire site together

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

Yzeira looked over the bruised and broken bodies of both Lark and Mikey, cataloging what remained from their residual Ki and fragile arcane networks. Gaians and humans, a peculiar sort. The wind howled as it tore through Feralda's cracked stadium. Shards of granite whipped up and about as Yzeira reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a small, leather bound black book. With his other hand, he pulled a pen from his exterior pocket, and began to scribble viciously across the paper.

"Gaians...Maximum potential...Considerable danger..."

Jenso's body began to twitch back into life as Ki flowed through it once again. His wounds, injuries, and fatigue vanished as he awoke to a brutal scene, his body springing up in a rush of power. The tears in his shirt repaired themselves, and the blood stains faded.

Yzeira turned his head to the side, glancing at Jenso with one of his eyes. Lark was laid out next to him, covered in blood, with one of his legs outright gone. Mikey was out cold, further away, with no visible injuries. Yzeira himself, was untouched. The man clasped his book shut and turned towards Jenso. He put the cataloging diary back into his jacket and narrowed his eyes.
Nexus didn't respond. He looked Jenso over once more, conjuring a blue mist around his Ki-based body as he did so. This was the hero that he'd placed faith in after so many years. Who would've thought it, that there was somebody out there with a relentless will similar to Yzeira's? Nexus smiled, and his mask reappeared, torn just below his left eye. His body became shrouded in thick, plated armor that emitted a dazzling Cyan shimmer. Without another word, his reality began to fade, as did Jenso's consciousness...

"Good luck"

~ End Of Chapter VI~
"Hmm.. I think you should keep what you've learned here when I send you back, Jenso," Nexus advised, raising his hands and pointing them both at Jenso. "Do not do as you did before, striving to only move forwards against all odds. Keep your wits about you, and know when you must expand beyond your old limitations. Kill when necessary, retreat if you must, but never throw your life away. You are the only one who can protect them all."
"I fear it may not be possible at all, honestly. Meditation, self acknowledgement, it all helps, but overcoming such powerful emotions might not be a realistic task for you. I don't know how, but there may be another way for you to achieve total control."
"The truth is, you are incapable of achieving such a power through the same methods as I or Yzeira. I imagined it to be a little less difficult for you once you'd lost everything, but I was wrong. This power through peace requires abandoning all emotions, realistically, and can be countered easily by preying on the weakest feelings of the user. But your feelings are too strong, and your will is unreal. I was looking at your potential through a skewed lens this entire time.."
Nexus nodded, but didn't stop talking. "Meditation isn't going to get you very far. I must admit, I've been a little dishonest about how peace truly works, and I don't think calling it 'peace' was very... Smart of me."
"That is a shame," Nexus muttered. "I can only hold this realme for another 2 months. After that time, you'll be faced off against the void for quite a while. If you are at peace, you will not be consumed. If not, we will never speak again."
"You were dead before, but your Ki was much weaker then. I merely did as I said I could do, and revived you," Mexus admitted.
"He would have made it there eventually if I didn't say anything, and if I hadn't sent him there when I did, the elementals would have destroyed a fairly massive portion of your world's population. Ada had planned that prior to knowing anything about you. Honestly, I didn't mean for you to stop that, but it was a positive outcome, none-the-less," Nexus continued, turning to Jenso without any aggression in his stance. "I had my reasons. It wasn't a sick experiment, or anything like that. I just needed something to get you going from the start."
"Well, yes. But the only reason he specifically went for Arcadia, despite how far that city was from our tower, is because I sent him there personally," Nexus admitted.
