A Hero Tale {Complete}

Jeff's repeated blades of Ki-infused wind slowly carved a series of holes in the shrinking bubble, and headed for Sera. The mage dispelled his bubble immediately and summoned a different type of barrier in front of himself, this one solid and not transparent at all. It stopped the ki powered blades with ease, but as he turned toward Jenso, his focus was upset even further by a series of small explosions. Sera was launched back several feet through the air before stopping himself moments prior to Jenso's flame saw became visible. But it wasn't enough. Sera didn't try blocking it. Instead, he moved quickly, mimicing the same movement that Yzeira had made to instantly disable Jenso's flame saw by striking its center before it struck.

Jenso was struck by the force wave, but as it hit, he felt his feet leave the ground, and his body fly through the air towards the edge of the circular throne room. There were no pillars or statues in the room. In fact, it was oddly empty, minus the inventions that lined the edge, one of which Jenso found himself hitting. It was a large box, which upon impact, exploded, launching Jenso towards the roof with a flurry of arcane clusters, which exploded like chain-linked grenades, one after another. The box was designed to re-purpose a very common weapon type in Tech-mo, the M-Nuke, into raw energy. But now, it was re-purposed to cause Jenso pain.

Sera turned his head to Jeff and used both his hands to try and block his wind blades with a barrier. But the Ki-infused attacks sliced through his shield, and nearly struck him head on. If he didn't drop out of the air a moment afterwards, he would have been sliced in two. Sera's hair was cut half-way down, leaving him with half of his previously glorious long hair. The last two blades passed overhead and struck the edge of the room, creating two massive holes in the wall.

There were at least 19 other inventions in the room, but all of them, and their functions, were unknown. Sera shook his head and rose both hands towards Jeff, creating a distorted cocoon of arcane energy around him. It was perfectly circular, and began to shrink, threatening to squish Jeff from all sides.

Sera was surprised to see Jenso overpower his force wave, but wasn't alarmed. He crossed his left hand towards Jenso, and created a barrier that absorbed his flames easily. The force holding Jeff back did not weaken, but Sera rose himself higher into the sky. After Jenso's flames were dispersed, he compacted the heated barrier of arcane energy into a sphere, and launched it towards Jeff, dispelling the force wave, and turning to face Jenso. With both hands, he launched a more concentrated blast at Jenso, widespread enough to make dodging difficult.

~ Chapter 71 ~

_{Sera's Unfathomable Power}

Sera didn't conjure up any orbs, or fire any beams of energy. He simply kept his hand raised, and attempted to push both Jeff and Jenso back with a constant stream of pure force. His eye flickered green, and the air began to distort while he controlled it, flooded with arcane energy.

Sera's body rose off the ground again and energy began to whip around him like a storm of wind. "So be it," He murmured, aiming the palm of his right hand at Jenso and Jeff. The giant circular throne room began to shake, and Sera's eyes narrows.

"I will be your executioner."

"That man is still alive, albeit paralysed from the neck down," Sera admitted, "And I've done all I needed to do. Now all that's left is to take Tech-mo and Feralda under my rule. Perhaps then I can proceed to fix the rest of the world, and rid it of disgusting monsters like the king. Can't you see the righteousness in that?" Sera's voice was different now. He held an aura of godliness about him that was completely off-putting. His energy signature at this distance was overbearing. Even more-so than Rajaka's. He must have had no control over it, but one thing was certain... He was abnormally powerful. "I think those masked fools... They wouldn't even be a challenge for me. Neither will you. It's clear now.. Now.. I see that powerful beings like the king, Ross, Mikey, and yourself- You are too dangerous to be allowed to live. You all think yourself righteous, but you're wrong. You just Sheppard the weak to feel like gods. Well no more," Sera paused and rose his arms angrily. "I'm the one true god that will bring peace to the world."

The fireball struck Sera and spread smoke in all directions, obscuring his brilliant white figure for a few moments. But when the smoke settled, a barrier wall was revealed to have protected him. Sera turned slowly to see Jenso, revealing that his eyes were now a deep shade of green. He spun around and floated down to the ground, and the king collapsed behind him.

"You survived," Sera uttered loudly enough for both Jeff and Jenso to hear. Before they could respond, the guards from behind rushed towards Sera after picking themselves up, with their swords and spears raised, but with a squint of his eyes, they were all pushed back by a magical wave of energy that both Jenso and Jeff could feel. "I was told that more of those freaks showed up."

~ Chapter 70 ~

_{The Silence Has Been Shattered!}

The castle shook and shook. Explosive noises erupted from behind the two massive doors, and screams followed shortly afterwards. Vale was gone in a flash, but Jenso and Jeff were left in the main hall. Guard rushed in from the front areas of the castle, ignoring both of them as they rushed towards the throne room, but before they could charge in, the two massive doors were launched off their hinges in pieces by another explosive blast. Scientists and robotics experts scattered towards the exits, and the view was clear. The king was barely standing before a floating figure with white hair and partially pointed ears. It was Sera!

Vale shook his head. "Stay here Jenso, I'm more than happy to fetch Lark on my own," Vale said, suddenly calmed. "Besides, you may have more to deal with very soon." As Vale spoke, the entire castle began to shake on its axis. The vampire nodded and dashed towards the exit staircase as fast as he could. "Oop! Looks like the show is starting already!"
