People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

"A Useless Endeavour" a shrill voice announced from the back of the room. Luke spun around and aimed his rifle carefully at the approaching figure, but it did not stop. It stepped forward, wielding a blade of ebony craft, lined with ivory markings along both sides.

"To fight against fate"

~ End Of Chapter 97 ~
Luke walked further down the temple's walkway until he reached the final painting, larger than any of the rest. It depicted a golden hero, face to face with an entity doused in red energy. But his torso was penetrated by a spear of red energies, and his face was pale. Behind the two clashing forces, there stood six others, over the bodies of four men, with corpses scattered around their feet.

"Jenso.." Luke murmured, reaching towards the painting weakly.
"There's no rush," Luke stated bluntly, pulling out his book again as he inspected the walls. "God in heaven, Bobba. You sure know how to leave a surprise behind.." Luke walked down the hall, following Jenso slowly, whilst taking in the many paintings. "Jenso, you can't not be puttin' these pieces together.." Luke pointed to one of the last paintings, depicting a man engulfed in flames, with wings made of pure fire, facing off against a crystalline entity. "This aint.."
interest.
Luke followed closely behind Jenso. The door led into a led into another large hallway, looking almost identical to the one in the wind Temple. The middle of the room had an ornate set of carving leading towards the end of the hall, lined with pillars, covered in crude paintings resembling fire.

On other end of the room, paintings depicted a man similar to the one in the wind temple, facing off against atrocities, and reigning victorious every time.

"..Hot damn.."

Sanctimonious Charm

Luke lowered his hand and clasped the barrel of his gun carefully. "I'll stay close behind."
Luke shook his head and shrugged. "We've never made it this far before. Getting inside was an impossibility. But if it's anything like what the book's telling me.." Luke lowered his gun, holding it with one hand while reaching into the pocket with the other. With his thumb, he snapped the book open and scanned one of its pages carefully. "It's..." He turned his hand and pointed towards a large painting of a god-like entity, surrounded by flames, over two doorways at the end of the large room.

"That way."

~ End Of Chapter 96 ~
"This is-" Luke started, shaking his head and trudging past Jenso and Bruce. "Now they know we're here. They'll be ready for us."
Bruce and Jenso's efforts were successful in disarming and debilitating every last one of the guards. The last archer took aim, but as Bruce's powers also returned to him, the archer was taken aback. Luke aimed again, and shot the bow out of the man's hands, sending him into a full retreat.

Luke walked forward and lowered his gun. "Finished?" He grunted, nudging one of the unconscious guards aside.
Jenso's guard was successful, allowing the incoming arrow to pierce the man's lower abdomen, harmlessly scratching the edge of Jenso's shirt as the body slowed it path. In that instant, Jenso felt his powers returning to him.

Bruce found difficulty in deflecting the incoming arrow. Rather than stopping it in midair, its trajectory was altered ever so slightly, slashing through his left arm before touching the ground.

The four men running towards Jenso found themselves ceased. Bruce's spear smashed and cut as two of the runners, severing one of their Achilles tendons, and outright tripping the other with brute force. The last two stopped as Jenso tossed the body at their feet, backing away in fear.

Meanwhile, Luke aimed carefully at the heads of one of the archers, but though his decision through. He needed to prove to Jenso that he wasn't a monster. He was his father! Disrespecting Jenso's morals would only push him further away. He moved his gun and shot at the support wires over one of the archers, upsetting his balance, and dropping him to the ground. The other archer aimed at Jenso, and fired another arrow immediately.
