I feel like Myriad Reality is somehow the secret glue holding this entire site together

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

Melina nodded and waved them off. "Don't be mean to Alvios! Otherwise, you'll be banned for life!" She noted, heading back to the bar.
"Oh, yeah! Of course!" The girl said, calming herself and backing away from the two men. She guided them towards the upstairs stairwell and pointed them towards Alvios' room, although he already knew where they were going, obviously. She just wanted to be as helpful as possible. "Nice to meet you, Jenso! I'm Melina! If you need anything, just let me know," She urged, "This is my bar, after all. Friends of Alvios don't have to pay for anything! Especially if they're defending the city as well!"
~ Chapter 108 ~

Hello, My Name Is Melina!

Alvios brought Jenso through the city rather quickly, down the cobbled streets that were lined with oil lanterns. It seemed everyone was off the streets at this time of day. Did it have something to do with the monsters? Who knew. After quite some walking though, Alvios made a sharp turn into a lone building, bursting through the front door and greeting the people inside. And man, were there a lot of people inside.

"Alvi!" a woman shouted, waving him in, "That's a new record!" The young girl nodded to a man she was serving at the bar and made her way across the room in a rush.

The two targeted artillery monsters immediately shut their 'mouths' to defend themselves, but Alvios' sword tore through their outer shell with ease, and sent pink blood spurting out from where his sword struck. Jenso's flame saw acted in a similar fashion, crashing through the outer shell and exiting through the other side, sinking the monster in a moment. The other three immediately saw the need to retreat, and began slowly sinking back into the ocean.
The rest of the monsters took heed of the flames and retreated en-masse into the ocean. Those that remained, anyways, as few as they were. But, within moments, the water began to bubble, revealing the heads of much larger creatures. Giant dome-like carapaces rose from the water, four of them, larger than a small cottage and spiked from top to bottom. They cracked open near the center, and revealed their pinkish insides, with a giant grotesque hole near the center of their inner body. Without delay, they launched bio-organic green globs towards Alvios and Jenso, staying several yards away from the shore, like artillery.
The creatures were launched away, and easily dispatched, smashed to pieces by Jenso's shock wave. They seemed relatively delicate when compared to Jenso's abilities. But he was too far away to defend the city from the bulk of their onslaught.

But, just when all seemed hopeless, a large arc of light sliced through a massive portion of the beasts, killing them outright. From the depths of the lower part of the port, out jumped a man with brown hair, wielding a blade, and going toe to toe with the monsters that approached from the sea.

Welcome To Corona..? Oar Bay Under Attack!

Jenso made the trip in record time, navigating the sprawling tunnel with ease. Nothing impeded his path, and the floor was even laid flat with wooden boards, making the trip very easy. It seemed that Luke and his men put a lot of work into giving Jenso an easy time for once! He emerged from the tunnel to see the glorious city of Corona, an un-walled paradise of stone buildings with gold trimmings, and a massive port to the endless ocean. This was the first time Jenso had actually seen the ocean, truthfully. The water seemed to go on forever an ever, dwarfing the lake at Pharie, and any other body of water on the planet. It seemed so peaceful, lined with boats on one side. But the town seemed awfully quiet.

That's when several strange creatures approached Jenso from behind, pouncing him from above. They were like small crustacean-like monsters, about the size of a dog, with two massive pincers, and several small leg-like appendages that dug into the ground to support them. Five of them pounced Jenso, and hundreds more were seen in the distance, approaching Oar Bay.
Luke nodded to himself a couple times and turned away as Jenso disappeared into the darkness.

"Farewell, Until Next Time, Jenso."

Luke nodded and smiled, handing Jenso the small book and the pill. "If you ever find yourself in a pickle, just eat that pill," Luke said, "Trust me on that one." Luke waved Jenso off and stood resolute by his paradise.
