They continued chatting. Things continued and now they were chatting about music when Amanda's phone rang.

"Oh, it's Mom." She picked up.

"Hey Mom!"

She felt her phone vibrate and tilted her head when she read the message. "That's weird..." She mumbled.

"You say something?"

"Nothing." She smiled, taking another piece and eating it.

She and her friends didn't notice her phone vibrate. They had drifted to chatting about school and upcoming assignments they had.

"Think you guys could help me with my science project? It's a display I have to make and I have everything planned out, I just need some extra hands."

"Sure. You have the supplies ready? Quack."

"Yes."

She found the bag and started popping the popcorn. She leaned against the counter and waited the few minutes until the microwave beeped when it was done. She pulled out the bag and poured the bag into a bowl. She walked upstairs with the bowl and went back into Jessica's room.

"Got it." She grabbed a piece and started to eat. The other 2 started eating as well.

"Wait, where is my phone?"

"Right here!" Jessica teased.

"Give it back." Amanda laughed.

"See if there's popcorn?"

"Sure." Amanda started getting closer to the door.
