Mandy cursed him mentally. "Thank you so much." Xandria chirped. "When shall you start?" Mandy glanced at the door one more time. Why did they have to offer her up as soon as they realized that the aliens didn't care much and kind of hated them? Mandy thought back to her family and remembered. She clenched her hand into a fist in annoyance and anger.

She thought for a moment before quietly answering him. "Rumors suggest that they do..." She really didn't want to admit it to him, but that was what a lot were saying that about the tribe she was marrying into. She didn't know if it was true herself, which was frustrating but maybe she could use it as leverage to get out of the whole situation. "Seriously, if you don't want to, nobody is forcing you." She mumbled.
"Um, why don't we talk about what you did last Friday?" She smiled a little, sensing that he was bored. Amanda then remembered that text she sent him on a dare. "...Um, Akaya?...What you said in that text I sent you on Friday...was that true?" She mumbled a little, feeling her face grow red as she was speaking to him.

She nodded and thought for a moment. "You mean last week? I went to a cousin's graduation party with my mom. It was fun, I also met her fiancé." She summarized. "Turn right here." She said as they got to the corner of the block.
