The highest, most decisive experience is to be alone with one's own self. You must be alone to find out what supports you, when you find that you can not support yourself.

The core of an individual is the mystery of life, which dies when it is 'grasped'. That is also why symbols want to keep their secrets.

Bio

The Harbinger of Ferocity

Agent of the Wild, Aspect of the Ferine
Nature, red in tooth and claw.

"There is, indeed, no single quality of the cat that man could not emulate to his advantage."
- Carl Van Vechten

I am, at my core, a personification and manifestation of those things whose blood and hearts run red with the ferocity of the animal world. It is this which convicts and controls my works, my writing, my being; the force and guidance in which I gain wisdom from. It is what inspires me as a creator and weaver of words, the very thing I admire as an author.

My leanings, savage as they are, are of the feline sort as there exists no greater lineage of beasts whom can be drawn from. No others captivate and motivate my talent and skill as the greatest of cats do.

At worst, I will post it to the Casual section's Interest Checks this weekend, @Kaylan The Lioness.
For all the animal roleplays I have ever seen here among the Guild, @Kaylan The Lioness, I am surprised this has not seen more activity.
I will draft some lore up about the Wild Gods, Beasts of Legend and the Lords of the Wild tomorrow evening when I am about again and have time.

Note, a bit of ill fortune has come about and my time spent working will be increased this week. So, this will be delayed some sadly.
It is a fair enough assumption @Jon Y, based upon the conversation she had with Regina.
@Belwicket, that is more or less the sole impression be has of Regina, and given his person, I don't doubt that would be his word of choice in lieu of some others. I do not imagine him to be... kindly, or sympathetic, but what do I know, hmm?
Very well in truth it seems, @Carantathraiel. Enjoying some time before the onset of night.
The real question here is, how is @Carantathraiel?
Thank you for your vote of confidence, @Belwicket, I am most appreciative of it.

For those viewing, we could use a few other players, as thus far we have three large cats including myself, meaning three more actual slots are open.
@Kaylan The Lioness, @Zverda, here is the topic we discussed.
A Time After Men

This Topic Has Moved

  • The universe is intended to be set in a post apocalyptic near future within the remains of the United States of America, specifically the regions nearest Texas and Oklahoma. While mostly a science fiction plot as it includes animals with near or human-like intelligence, there are intended to be elements unexplained.
    • With regard to story, the timeframe is set around the 2040s to the 2050s, with the majority of more advanced human technology having been destroyed by a massive solar flare. Shortly thereafter, the eruption of a super volcano created a cooler habitat that resulted in mass destruction and eventual famine with disease then becoming rampant. The resulting die-off of the human population has created a world where some legacy elements of mankind exist, to include the rare human themselves and many of the modified animals they left behind.
  • Generally, the plot is mostly based around the survival and conflict of the characters. While not a "slice of life" roleplay, realism will be a notable focus, and side characters of note will be provided where appropriate if need be to instigate or motivate.
  • This is a primarily animal based roleplay, where the player characters have the opportunity to play major predatory mammals. Be them wolves, tigers, bears and even previously extinct beasts or even one of the few surviving human beings.
    • It is worth noting that not all animals are made equal; surviving human beings still retain access to firearms, but they find themselves in a world that is devoid of their forefathers' comforts and filled with dangers. Just as so, a lone wolf is no match for a tiger or bear, and even a pack of wolves is in grave danger.
    • Major characters, such as player characters, are assumed to be intelligent, but this is not a requirement. Most animals are merely mundane otherwise. This does not mean however, that different species may communicate. "Subtitles" for communication between similar animals replaces dialogue where appropriate.
    • It is assumed human technology is understood in many different perspectives by these beasts, as some might view it as what it is, while others might perceive it as relics of lost eras.
  • The intent is to have no more than five roleplayers present. Those who are active are expected to be capable and competent with not only the English language, but a Casual to Casual-Advanced writing and posting level. The posts themselves, and individuals posting, should expect violence and more mature themes or issues to arise. As typical, explicit adult themes must be carried out strictly in Private Messages.
  • The roleplay itself, should it find sufficient interest here, would start no later than early April.
  • Below, please state your comments, interest, questions or concerns.
