The highest, most decisive experience is to be alone with one's own self. You must be alone to find out what supports you, when you find that you can not support yourself.

The core of an individual is the mystery of life, which dies when it is 'grasped'. That is also why symbols want to keep their secrets.

Bio

The Harbinger of Ferocity

Agent of the Wild, Aspect of the Ferine
Nature, red in tooth and claw.

"There is, indeed, no single quality of the cat that man could not emulate to his advantage."
- Carl Van Vechten

I am, at my core, a personification and manifestation of those things whose blood and hearts run red with the ferocity of the animal world. It is this which convicts and controls my works, my writing, my being; the force and guidance in which I gain wisdom from. It is what inspires me as a creator and weaver of words, the very thing I admire as an author.

My leanings, savage as they are, are of the feline sort as there exists no greater lineage of beasts whom can be drawn from. No others captivate and motivate my talent and skill as the greatest of cats do.

"I have no thumbs to spare and my paws are large, quite large." The beast replied calmly, noticing the contents of the crate being many more hats, perhaps more than the box itself could have ever dared to contain. Blinking, more in surprise that the box held so many at all than in disbelief of how it got here, it shifted its attention back to Jane who had gestured to the construct.

"Perhaps if anyone or anything has need for a great number of weapons, that machine might. Then again, we are still uncertain just what its business is, if any." The hind quarter of the tremendous striped cat sat itself down, the rest of it looking over the women and the collection of hats.
The area of concern had remarkably shifted from the cannon wielding machine that had been looming over them not minutes before and its apparent preoccupation with "spheroids" to... hats, of all things. The company at the moment seemed less worried about the tools the burly man, Jane as he called himself, had to offer than a seeming catalogue of hats.

"You look... red." The cat admitted, stepping to the side of the broad man who swung at the air in frustration, its head being at his shoulder's height, "I am unsure what such a thing does however."

Its fierce, golden eyes moved to the red woman after, the one who spoke about not needing any other weapons; a reasonable statement, given earlier she conjured and controlled fire with apparent ease. There's few times such a talent could not be of use to her.
The players are welcome to pursue whatever goals they desire, but as you can imagine, competition and conflict will come in many shapes and sizes, @Mercenary Lord. At the moment the United Federation of Planets is the largest, most powerful force in existence... or maybe not anymore, as they suffered a surprise attack on one of their worlds, which is being kept in secret, and sustained pretty astounding losses. This said, just about every major organization or group is on edge, as the Federation has never prior prevented all travel across the entire system.

Accounting for this, some people and factions, perhaps yours, will see this as the best time to act while the United Federation of Planets is mostly preoccupied and attempting to enforce their power.
I would recommend starting with a character submission here, @Mercenary Lord. Given you seem to want to make multiple characters and an unofficial group, you can fill out one sheet for them all and focusing on their leader. Once approved, this is in fact the right place to pose those sort of questions and see just who you can get involved as well as make your attempts to do so.
Perhaps not so far away, no more than half a day's walk by foot and far, far less by steed, there stood a frumpy man with a furled brow and a broad if not magnificent beard before a sign. There upon its wooden features, innumerable decrees found themselves plastered atop one another by nail, the most recent one - that which this both burly and portly fellow added - read simply;

By The Order of His Majesty
To All Subjects of the Land
There Shall Be No Travel Beyond the Realm
Not by Fantastic or Mundane Means, to Include All Others
Those that Violate this Royal Order Shall be Placed in the
Stockades or be Lawfully Subject to Worse Punishment
as the Crown or its Deputies Assigned by His Hand See Fit
Consider this Document to Serve as Proof of His Rightful
Command in His Bodily Absence from Evenshire.

Gruff as he was, arms folded across his chest, his demeanor was not so much leveled at the message as it was the fact it was written. Surely the king of the land, who ordered these nobles who honored fealty to him to place such signage, knew the peasant folk could not read, let alone travel anywhere quite that far. Just who in the world could this have been for? The notion of why never crossed the dwarf's mind as he slipped the workman's hammer back into his leather pack, it was none of his business, but there had to have been a better way. Of course, the gathering onlookers that slowly built a crowd began to murmur amongst themselves to what they thought it meant, but not before the man berated them for gossiping.

"If ye can'unt read it, it ain't for ye, so quit the likes of yer yapping."

"Then what's it for?" Another voice yelled, trying to blend into the crowd.

"'Tis for them folks that can!" His retort came as he slung the pack and faced them, of which were mostly men and a few women, all dressed in filthy earth tones and who should be going about their days rather than asking questions.

"But... it must be -"

"Ye, it be important alright, 'cause the nobles told me to tack it. Simple really, 'There shant be any travel'n outside the realm.' None of yer business, ya see? Now get." The stern man frowned waving them off with a flick of his hands in their direction, to which they started to disperse from on their own accord.

It was true, just as the bearded fellow claimed, that the message had no impact or value on their life. The sole reason this realm even existed at all was because of its magical aptitude in this day and age when, unbeknownst to all present barring the dwarf, the rest of the stars above seemed to be littered with countless forms of newfangled, complicated, fragile technology. The sort of things that break when a wizard unleashes a lightning bolt that goes rogue - not like mithral or adamantine, things the dwarf put his faith in. Magic wasn't his forte, something the bald yet bearded fellow could do, but not well. It was enough to keep him out of trouble and in good graces, as with this work, but there was still much to come from that.
As a note for all participants who intend to be playing here, or anywhere else for that matter, if you want a non-player character who is a bit more important and relevant, let the Staff know that you would like to have them portray such an individual.

By this I mean, perhaps you decide for yourself to go on a quest to capture an item goblins stole from a town, only to discover that item actually belongs to a baron. If you would rather not play the goblin leader or the baron in such an example, please let us know by mentioning one of us with your request! We welcome you to play non-player characters on your own, provided you are doing so reasonably and not knocking down kingdoms for your own as an example, but if you want more direct, official influence let us know.

Our goal is that someone assumes these initial topics for their own and starts to better shape them with the help of others, leaping from there on with time.
