Host Type: Mysterious Cool – yet polite type
Personality: On the surface Akira appears to be a top student in all credited classes in Ouran High School. Ambitiously achieving every challenge that is thrown at him as a scholar. He is always trying to impress yet never gloating about his achievements. On a basic setting he is polite to his teachers, fellow students, his family’s business (could be) partners, and the host club (to an extend).
Charming and the perfect gentleman in most eyes. Akira was practically born with natural manipulation when it comes to people. This causes him to get what he wants when he wants it and to have a very charming effect on people. He uses this to keep himself afloat and stable in the higher ranking of society that he was born in.
Akira is not considered a liar though he keeps many things to himself. If you can see past his act, you will be able to find something…somebody craving for affection and closeness. Though, many just see the light side of Akira. He doesn’t care to preach his life story and seems to be extremely quiet when it comes to home life. Avoiding the conversations as if the black plague has arisen from the mid-fourteenth century. The only time you will hear him speak of home life if it’s very un-detailed and not much information follows it.
He tends to be the one holding the door open for others, giving you his coat (maybe not in a charming way but a caring one), and he is the one to tend to your needs as well as his. This causes him to only do things that benefit him. In some way or another if there are no benefits from it what’s the point to do it? To him life is a card game that you must play. If you don’t play your cards right, you lose and if you lose…you lose everything you worked so hard to get. Akira always keeps his pieces in place and is always the one having a strategy for everything he does. It’s just his nature he can’t help himself when it comes to benefiting him and making sure everything works out.
When Akira cares for you, he cares…a lot. He can over think, and he tries his hardest to stay cool-headed. That doesn’t work out every time. Especially when the one’s he cares about are being stupid (in his eyes) or just plain a-holes he will lose himself to his emotions. This might be since he has a younger sister and plays the older brother part. He has a natural protective view, and this lands typically on women in general, friends and family.

Background:Birth – Eleven years old : Akira was born as the first and only child to the Kitamura family. The only hierarchy to his parent’s every and last wishes. Once he became of age the estate and company would be put to him only if he deserved it (his father said). Raised to be a gentleman from a young age Akira was quite the young man.
Though, in his eleventh year of life a baby sister came into the world. Everything seemed to change in his life. A new member of the family caused Akira to emotionally and mentally flip to a new side of life. He didn’t remember asking for a sibling he didn’t want one. This newcomer was taking all the attention the little bit of attention he would get from his hardworking parents.
After this Akira’s world was corrupted and it drove him into a dark corner. This was the first time Akira’s other side was brought up. He felt the loneliest he ever felt as if no one needed him. He understood the busyness of his parents to a point but still it brought a young child’s heart to see them go right to a child they barely knew.
When Akira was about seven years old his parents hired a nanny and her name was Miss Maori Amari. This was the only person now giving their full attention to Akira and he didn’t want it.
Twelve years old – Freshman in High school: Akira found Miss Amari annoying in his later years of middle school. She was overly excited he got into Ouran High school. Even though in his mid-year of middle school he was already told he had over a ninety-five percent chance of being accepted into Ouran High school. He didn’t want her to be the one noticing he wanted his parents. Which ended up not happening.
In Akira’s freshman year of Ouran High school. He ended up getting close to his mother again. Learning to love his younger sister and protect her. This caused him to want to spend time and play with her.
High school (recent): With his study, the club and wanting alone time. Akira didn’t have much time for his younger sister anymore. Usually at home she will follow him around and watch him silently write his papers, organize for the host club or government body, figuring out upcoming events for the club and even talking to him when he tries to have alone time.
Just to spend more time with Emiri, Akira has even brought her to the local homeless shelter to teach her how fulfilling it is to actually help another soul.
Akira seems to only be close to his little sister.
Emiri has found her way to Ouran plenty of times to find Akira and tell him something about her day. She is only six, but Miss Amari allows Emiri to do most things. This has caused many instances of Emiri wandering into middle of lectures and Akira having to leave class for five or ten minutes.
