Honestly, a scientist could work really well for any of the three roles. It all depends on what drives them.

As a Trainer, maybe they’re studying combat mechanics in the field, trying to understand the way Pokémon adapt through battle, or testing a theory on how emotional bonds affect performance. As a Coordinator, maybe they’re trying to quantify beauty, charisma, or the subtle language between Pokémon and audience.

And as an Explorer, the fit is probably the most natural. If you check the OOC, you’ll see that in this region, there are 22 magical brooches known as the Major Arcana, each tied to either a Gym Leader, a Contest Icon, or one of the Elite Four or Champion, except for one: a brooch that’s been lost to time. An Explorer with a scientific mind might be driven to study the origin of these artifacts, uncover their true nature, and follow the trail of the missing one.

So yeah, go wild with your idea. The role can absolutely bend to fit the character, as long as their motivation shines through.

I believe I was thinking more of an individual who would be focusing on the biology, behavior, and emotions of pokemon with/without their human companion. I think I would focus on trainer in that aspect. Thank you.

I understand that the current roles started above are: Trainer, coordinator, and explorer. If I had to focus on one based off from the general definition (which I know your definition might differ) I would have to focus on the one that would fit a scientific individual the best and that would possibly be explorer. Someone who wants to explore the world and learn about the environments and different types of pokemon. Though I feel like my idea could fit into the trainer role on the basis of learning to teach as well. What do you think?

I'm thinking of possibly encouraging a group collaboration to get everyone familiar. I have created a poll so please put your two-cents in. There is multiple options and the ability to vote more than once.

Currently there are 2 collabs going at the moment and I do not think Evill is in a collaboration with anyone. I believe that the current collabs will be done around Sunday. Possibly? No rush! However, depending on the vote outcome, we will do whatever is voted on or start talking about it after the holiday on Monday/Tuesday.

It was a time of day that no one was out, the lights were dimmed to mock a natural light-to-darkness cycle, and currently it was intimidating that of what dusk would be. A cigarette lazily rolled on his lips while he huffed out smoke and looked at the notepad to clarify that he was in the right place. “Ten minutes late… he huffed out another cloud of smoke. “Council members really piss me off.” The annoyance in his mumbled tone vibrated in the energy around him.

That was when the other man approached him from a darker alleyway, he smirked, “Took you long enough. Now why did you want to meet me?” Roach straightened up and faced the man that was around his age, maybe a little younger, or possibly older. It didn’t matter. He had done business with plenty of the council members.

“I need you to do a favor for me, Roach,” the low voice of the council member barely rang out while he grabbed a few printed pictures from under his jacket. “You need to take care of these individuals,” he handed several pictures over to Roach and a disc.

“Who are they?” Roach asked while looking through the photos to notice they were all burrowers that illegally go in and out of Dominions walls or dwellers who were allowed in the cities but unfavored by society. Disgusting wastes of breath and resources. He hated the bunch with a passion and he glanced up to the council member. “Is there another purging of these people going on?”

“You don’t ask the questions, I do, now,” the man pointed at the pictures. “All their names are written on the back, their whereabouts or places of work, and how dangerous they are to our society. If we want to keep moving forward, we need these things eliminated,” the man had a poisonesses disgust for dwellers and burrowers and he wanted them all gone from the city.

Roach nodded in agreement, “Consider it done, boss,” he chuckled. “I like the look of this one, I haven’t seen him on your radar before and he looks older. What’s so special about him?” he twirled the photo of Pilka in his fingers.

“That’s a burrower named Pilka, it comes and goes out of the city at times. An incident happened about a month ago with it and a young girl named Kara. A scientist. It beat her. She said it wanted information about the council but I doubt it cares about our doings. It probably was trying to keep her as a toy or something. You know how borrowers are, awful, and disgusting. There have been cases of those creatures in the past stealing women and men from the city for god who knows what!”

“Shhh. Keep your voice down,” Roach clenched his teeth with a hiss. “I get it. He’s a problem. I’ll take him out. Consider all of them dead, gone, and done,” Roach gestured up the photoes before putting them into his pocket and twirling the disc. “So what’s this about?”

“Video footage of all of them, especially Pilka. I want to see if you can figure out what it was saying to that girl, if you can’t, it’s whatever, but it might help you locate it easier,” the council member explained.

“Do you think h— it~ is coming around for this girl at all?”

“No, we haven’t seen it on camera. I doubt it is unless it has some sick fascination with our female citizens and that even gives more reason to take it out. It’s a problem and a threat to society.”

“I got it. Like I said, consider it done, Council member T—” the man almost stated the council members name before the man shushed him. The council member waved him off and Roach nodded his head before they went their separate ways.

@The Savant Love it! He's the kind of guy I like to see. Though he does have a LOT of expertise... not saying its a BAD thing, it can be a very useful and unique plot-leverage point, but it has the POTIENTAL to be. Aside from that, I don't have any comments on this unless there's something you wanna tinker.

Role: Ex-convicted serial killer; former medical professor (and practicing surgeon) and psychological examiner. Elias spent roughly 2 ½ years in maximum security prison before being let out because he was wrongfully charged for the Cleanser Killings which led to the doubt of him being apart of any killings to do with The Anatomist/The Carver. After that, there were plenty of investigations into Elias Pentacost but nothing else came out of it.

Appearance
Elias stands slightly over six foot with a lean frame. His features are sharp and intelligent in appearance; high cheekbones, deep-set hazel eyes that flicker with clinical curiosity and educated guesses and neatly combed salt-and-pepper hair. Always impeccably groomed, even when he was in prison, Elias tends to dress in casual-formal or smart-formal clothing – something one would wear to work in a professional field.
His voice is smooth and articulate, often laced with condescension and amusement. A faded scalpel tattoo winds around his left wrist which is usually hidden by his watch and his hands bear small scars from years of meticulous, hands-on “work”.

Personality Synopsis:
The middle-aged man can be considered charming, calculated, and eerily calm especially in high tension situations, Elias Pentacost exhibits traits of both a narcissist and a high-functioning sociopath. He takes pride in his intellect and skills, seeing others as either puzzles to solve or specimens to dissect – both metaphorically and literally. He’s highly articulate and enjoys engaging in psychological games, often coaxing secrets or weaknesses from others with chilling ease. Elias is void of empathy but mimics it well, often using faux sympathy as a social scalpel.

Background:
Formerly a respected anatomy professor, practicing surgeon, and psychologist, Elias was revered in academic circles – until a pattern of “missing persons” and strange cadaver anomalies began to unravel his pristine image. His private victims, often chosen from the vulnerable or forgotten, were methodically dissected and documented. His notes read more like scientific studies than confessions of murder. He was arrested after a medical student of his was found dead and they believed him to be the murderer. Between his own murders, others, and the Cleanser killings – Elias was charged with 19 counts of murder and authorities suspected many more.
However, 2 ½ years later, Elias was released from prison on account of 17 out of 19 of those murders that he was charged with were not his. The Cleanser continued to kill when he was locked up and a few other unexplained bodies appeared (accident or not) which caused him to have a re-trial which led to his release. They were not able to fully connect him to his own because of the extensive steps he had taken as well.

Motivations:
Elias is driven by an obsessive curiosity about the human body, mind, and mortality. He sees his crimes not as evil but as “studies” in anatomy, psychology, and control. His continued involvement in any “case” stems from his need to understand and manipulate. Whether helping (or hindering) investigations or toying with those who come to question him, he stays engaged for one reason: intellectual dominance.
He might be out from behind bars though the police come to him for answers that are hard because he has a peculiar mind and has helped in the past when he was behind bars. He was never easy with it, but it was like a game to him.

Neutral evil, Elias follows his own code of experimentation and control, unconcerned with morality, but avoids unnecessary chaos unless it serves a purpose. Whatever he does, always has a purpose for him or he will not do it.
