The reactions of the others caught Iremea by surprise, this was the first time someone reacted to her second form this way and honestly it was somewhat humorous. "This is who I truely am, I apologize for hiding this for I believed my Aeta form would prevent you from being frightened until the time was right". Kaszear was not as forgiving of the Aeta's reaction as Iremea. To think she was anything but beautiful was insanity. Still he'd control his anger as he did not want to ruin what was now a fledgling alliance.

In the exchange Iremea would of course see much of the architecture that Egypt had to offer and life by the Nile. One experience in particular she chose to share, her life before her transformation. Of course some of her time as an Egyptian goddess was also included along with what little they knew of the place they were all in now. "Your home is lovely. I have never seen anything like it." That detail actually gave Akila pause. What was just seen appeared to be another realm.
"Thank you", Iremea replied "I would say the same of yours. I hope that together we will be able to return to our homes soon. This place...there is something wrong about it". The Revenati mage, now believing there to be some form of trust between the two groups, decided it was no longer necessary to use her Aeta form. In a matter of seconds the robe Iremea already wore grew to envelope a 7th tall Revenati female. She grew two scorpion-like stingers from her back which half resembled wings that have had everything removed but the bone. When the transformation was complete she stood on four arachnid legs that were consealed beneath the long flowing robe but the sounds of them clattoring against the metal floor indicated their presence. "Now that everything has been explained, do we have a plan of action? Perhaps we should ask her about this facility", Iremea pointed towards EVE before gesturing Kaszear to bring his attention away from Shea and towards EVE. If this Aeta were dangerous she'd need him to be ready for whatever tricks it'd have up it's sleeve.
Shane was still laying on the floor as he waited for what seemed like the longest thirty seconds of his life. His thoughts focused on the events that transpired today. He learned that his skills outside Riftman form were in serious need of refinement. Speaking of his rift form he began to wonder what happened while he was out of control of body. Malkaris managed to take over and as a result Shane was unable to see what was happening around him. He tried hard to remember and suddenly the memories rushed back to him. He could see himself crushing Dimitri's hands after releasing that horrible scream. He could see himself choking Shadow till she was within an inch from death. That was the last straw for him, while he wasnt against violence-his past work as proof-he was against killing innocents and Shadow was no exception. "Why the hell did i have to be the one possessed by a demon?", he thought to himself. Most of the students here had powers that make him look like kid with kleptomania, those that didnt had money to keep them supplied and ahead of the game. But Shane, no Shane was a guy with nothing but favors and a lust for money. Despite the amount of jobs he'd done his pay mostly went towards paying expenses let alone getting Batman grade gear. "Lets just hope i-or anyone here-breaks my new toys", was the last thing he said before getting up to watch the remainder of the game on the sidelines.
After getting tossed off the top of the hill, taking a beating from by Dimitri, and getting thrown again by a second blast Shane was out of the game. He laid there on the ground with the only company being his thoughts. "....you got your ass handed to you", he thought to himself. "Really? I hadn't noticed", normally he wouldn't talk to himself but as of late he felt the need to examine himself was necessary. "How do you expect to make it in the big leagues if you can't hold your own in a fight?"  "Hey I can fight, just not against frickin robots...not easy punching metal"  "That's your problem, you can handle yourself fine when it's just you and a normal person. But put you against a super and you can't win unless you use your powers" "I'm not using that curse...", after what he saw today his view of his powers had changed drastically. "I'm never going to use my powers again"  "Then you better get to the gym and start training because street fighting isn't going to mean shit to these kids. They will break you without a second thought"  "My fighting is fine. I need gear, gadgets, stuff like that....Barns! He owes me a few favors, he could get me what I need"  "Do you even have a clue what you need?" "I have an idea...", he said pulling his phone out of his pocket. "I'm surprised this shit didn't break", he commented before calling Barns. It rang for a while before it was picked up. The voice on the other end wasn't what you'd expect of a fence. His speech was refined and imitated that of an Industrial Era American which happened to fit the description of Barns as well. He was a large and husky guy with a thing for eccentricity, at first glance you'd expect him to be from the Midwest selling miracle cures to the naive. "You have reached Barns Special Acquisitions, how may I be of service", Barns answered the phone with a loud and excited greeting that had always annoyed Shane whenever he called. "Barns, it's Thief", Shane answered. Despite the two working with each other for years Shane never gave Barns his full name as information was also Barns' business.  "Why hello my amiable highwayman! What can I do for you today? You'll be delighted to know that I am having a sale on-"  "Cut the shit Barns I need to call in a favor", the fence dropped the fake accent immediately after this. "Alright, alright, whaddaya need?", Barns asked before the sounds of shuffling could be heard. Barns knew that when Shane called in a favor it required the exclusive merchandise. "I'm looking at the inventory right now, you remember the list I gave you last time?" "Yeah I do and here's what I need...", after receiving the list Barns looked over the inventory list for the required items. "This is the good stuff ya hear me kid? You better not break it like you did last time"  "Dont worry about it. When will they arrive?"  "Tomorrow at the earliest, what are you doing Thief? Last time you called in a favor-" "Like i said don't worry about it. Thanks Barns"  "Yeah yeah take care of yourself kid" Shane hung up the phone and continued to lay on the ground waiting for class to end. This has been one hell of a first day.
If it wasn't for Molly's gravity fields Shane would have been picked up by the tornadoes. Thankfully he was pulled to the ground and as he looked up to make another go at James he found the boy had sealed himself up in a dome. That was when he heard the sickening crack caused by Dimitri's headbut. This enraged him, "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!", he yelled as he sprinted towards the cyborg. Once he was within range Shane threw a right hook at Dimitri, then a left, and a right again. He kept on the attack with all other senses blocked out. His only focus was beating the shit out of this guy.
It was organized chaos, everyone had picked a target and was raising hell to take them out. He was advancing when Shadow sent down a wall, he was about to retreat when Ariella blasted a hole through it which he proceeded to jump through. After clearing the hole he glanced back to see Shadow towards the bottom of the pyramid with Jack helping her up. He didn't have time to deal with that, his target was James. With most of the opposing team's defenses down he focused on their power player, reaching the top he immediately bolted for James before lunging at him and tackling him to the ground. Throughout all of this he said nothing, his facial expressions were Nome to be had. Yet the entire time he was feeling a myriad of emotions: anger, frustration, rage, even a but of happiness as he reached to top of the pyramid. If he could hold down James long enough for the rest of his team to get up here they could come back for a win.

Iremea smiled, "Thank you, this should take but a moment" she said before placing her middle and index finger on Akila's right temple. In a matter of moments a series of voices, their words unintelligible, began to echo throughout both their minds and images of Egypt along with the Revenati Realm were shown in fragments to each other. As quickly as the process began it ended and now not only was Iremea able to speak to everyone else, Akila was given a glimpse into the Revenati home world. She was able to see the eternal night of the realm along with the glimmering ocean's. She could see the uniquely beautiful cities with their impressive spires and the violet forests which spanned as far as the eye could see.
"I'm fine", he replied. His words weren't angry or intimidating. In fact they were void of almost all emotion. He knew she meant well but his mind wasn't focused on his well being so much as winning the game. Last class was his time to discover his weaknesses, now it was time to improve on them and he wasn't going to let anything stop him from doing that.  Shane's first few steps were uneasy as he was still a bit weak from before. He ascended the hill and began to increase speed when the other team sent down hundreds of beads accompanied by Shadow's trip lines. He stopped dead in his tracks and began to circumnavigate the hill until he reached an area relatively untouched by the beads. The strings would not be that much of a problem because as he began to close the distance between himself and the top of the hill his adrenaline was pumping that any strings he did run into he simply broke through but not without feeling the pressure of them against his legs. The strings did manage to trip him up slightly at one point but not enough to stop his advance completely. Shane was running completely on adrenaline and not only would it prove vital to what was coming next but the after effects would be...less than enjoyable.

"I apologize for Kaszear's words. His line of work keeps him...wary of strangers", Iremea explained "But I assure you his intentions are well placed. As for these machines you mentioned, Kaszear may have the skills necessary to deal with them". Iremea was certain that despite her husband's skills the two of them alone would be no match for these machines. It would be better to stay with a group. At least until a way out of this place was discovered. "To answer your question The Bond is what I wished to perform with you. The best way I can describe it is that it will allow me to enter your mind and as long as the bond is not broken we share whatever abilities, knowledge, memories, and feelings we each permit the other to see. I would hope to use this so I could communicate with the other Aeta" As Iremea and Akila spoke, Kaszear took a step back to examine the other Aeta. The one called Runo who had been making a move for the door had disappeared somewhere despite Kaszear not seeing him exit the room. The fur tailed Aeta was standing guard over the metal one. There seemed to be no unity with this group which he felt would create problems later. The one he considered "The Pureblood Aeta" was watching nervously as Iremea and Akila spoke. "Fun zey pureblood, fahvos los hi het? Daar Aeta fon hilkiin nuz hi. .. hi los unlike niin. Zok grozah ni do daar staad, ful fos drun hi het?(Tell me pureblood, why are you here? These Aeta seem hybrids but you...you are unlike them. Most likely not of this place, so what brought you here?)", despite him knowing she could not understand him Kaszear spoke to see her reaction. He made an effort to make his tone as interrogating as possible hoping to gauge her character. Was she a warrior? A noble? A scholar? Perhaps a magister? Her reaction would tell him.
As he lay unconscious on the hill Shane, within his mind, was reliving the night he first got his powers. It was a series of images fading in an out with enough time to view each. He could see himself taking down the guard, finding the vial, fighting the second guard, then the vial contents getting into his eyes. This time it was different however. The second the black liquid touched his eyes a series of screams could be heard. They were much like the scream his Riftman form made only each one having a slightly different pitch. One after the other he'd see images of Malkaris along with corpses strewn across the room, blood coating the walls and floor. "That night...I didn't kill that one guard?", that vision revealed what really happened to him that night. He shifted for the first time and the entire security detail stormed the warehouse, but their numbers did not matter. Shane unknowingly slaughtered them all without hesitation, "No...no no that wasn't me. I wouldn't do that". Sure he killed one guy arguably out of self defense but this...this was something different. The scene could only be described as a slaughter house.  Suddenly he heard a voice, low and menacing. It was laaghing at him...It was Malkaris. After expressing its joy after seeing Shane's reaction it spoke, "Shane...Shane...Shane" it began to change in tone until he realized it was Ariella. He jerked himself forward once regaining consciousness taking a moment to determine if this was real or not. Satisfied that his ordeal was over he stood up, "...I'm fine. We need to get back to the game". Despite his seemingly detached stature he was beyond shaken. This whole event had caused him to stray away from using his powers.
