Setting The Mood
Just Another Night...
It was a quiet night, then again it was always a quiet whenever Cole came to this bar. Not one of the most nightlife spots in the city and that was exactly what he needed every now and then. Sure it was fun to drink, dance, and bring girls home a little break from the routine did him good. The place he was hanging out at tonight had a relaxed atmosphere, the crowd wasn't that big, the music was on low so as to not disturb anyone having a conversation, and the drinks were as good as anywhere else in the city. Cole however never came here to simply relax because this place had a history. It's where he and his brother would hang out every now and then when they were fresh out of college. It was a reminder of the old days when they did jobs for not so clean characters and it now served as Cole's place of business and place of mourning. He sat at the counter with a glass of Grey Goose vodka in one hand and his switchblade, Crimson, in the other. Hey little bro how you doin? I'm doing...fine I guess, still doing the jobs we used to back in the day. Only change is I got a new crew, real shady you'd love 'em. Ah what am I talkin' about you know this shit already you were there...I miss you bro, tell Ma I miss her too. God knows she ain't talkin' to me after that night, he said to himself while taking a sip of his drink. The bartender, Calvin, had come over at this point to check on him. "Ey Cole, you alright man?", the portly man asked. Cole and Jonathan had been regulars at the bar so Calvin was a close friend for a long time, probably the closest the boys ever had to a dad. "Yeah Cal I'm fine just remembering the family", Cole replied with a hint of sadness in his voice. "Hey I miss Jon too, the little bastard was always drinkin' outta my stock when he thought I wasn't lookin", Cal let out a soft laugh upon remembering all the times Jonathan would try to pull the same trick on Cal. He always saw when Jon did it but didn't always call him out on it. Cole chuckled slightly before taking another sip and speaking, "Yeah he never knew when to quit" "Neither do you kid, gotta learn to stop mournin' the dead cause they ain't got nothing to worry about. Jon is in a better place...as for your ass not so much", Calvin poured himself a glass and with Cole raised their glasses. "To Little Jon, I hope you still hate that name, kid!", Calvin yelled before gulping down the entire glass. Cole wasn't as energetic as Calvin and simply said, "Don't wait up for me little bro" loud enough for Calvin to hear. "There ya go! Keep on livin for the dead", the bartender cheered before heading back to serve a customer who was impatiently waiting for his drink...that Calvin just drank. Can't keep livin' if I'm already dead Cal, Cole thought before opening an envelope he recieved earlier today. This is when his other job begins, Cole never had a set job description-a setback of working for criminals-instead he'd get an envelope that was left at a drop off point. Inside the envelope was his offered job, if he accepted it then alright, if declined then he'd simply have to put it back at the drop off point before the days end or depending when the job had to be done. "Let's have a look see..", he mumbled before reading over the page long instructions. "Tonight...Chelsea Piers...boat drop off...pay is 2K...done",he whispered as he read over the paper. The details didn't concern him, all he needed was a location, type of job, and pay to decide whether or not he'd take it. "Later, Cal. I'm heading to work", he said before laying the bill on the counter. Cal waved as Cole made for the door, "Hey take care of ya'self!" Arriving at the pier Cole had waited for an hour before the boat finally arrived. The guys on it who were responsible for loading the cargo into a truck nearby seemed a little shaky. It was probably explained why in the description but oh well. They were halfway done unloading the boat when a couple of guys showed up...guns in hand. "We'll be taking the shipment now", one of them said before firing off a round into the head of one of the boat loaders. Cole jumped behind cover just before they turned their guns on him, "Are you fucking kidding me!" he yelled before blind firing around cover. He could hear one of them falling to the ground. Got one, he thought before waiting for the other to run out of ammo. Despite being a vampire it still wasn't fun getting shot...plus he didn't want to ruin his clothes. A few seconds passed by before the shooter would ceasefire. Oh you fucked up now man, Cole thought with a grin before dashing around his cover and grabbing his attacker. The man quickly began to decompose the longer Cole held onto him. His skin began to shrivel and rot while his teeth fell out along with his hair. His internal organs seemed to liquify before gushing out of the now open chest cavity while his eyes shriveled up like his skin within his now rotten skull. Once it was done all that was left was corpse which looked to be at least two hundread years old. "Alright lets get the rest loaded into the van-shit", he was speaking to the surviving boat loader but realized he'd also been killed in the shooting. "Now I gotta move all this shit myself...great!", he groaned before dragging the rest of the shipment into the van and driving off the the drop off point when it was done. Arriving at the dropoff a man in a suit was waiting there, he did not speak to Cole only handed him an envelope filled with 2k in cash. "Next time, arm your guys", Cole commented before leaving the van and walking back to his apartment. Inside he simply turned on the tv and relaxed with phone in hand. He was almost always on call for work. An apartment like this wasn't cheap so he took what paid well. Despite the surprise shootout this was just another night.
Hey could someone give me an idea of what's happened so far? I'm going to read it all at one point just right now I want to post something.
Skinwalker
Name: Casan'Vralcar Age: 19 Personality: Casan comes from a very ordered society. Everyone has their place and for Casan it was to be a warrior. He is calm, reserved, and follows orders. While not a leader if the situation requires he will step up.  Powers: All Kartathans have the inborn ability to change their appearance due to their highly adaptive physiology. They are able to change into whatever form they desire as long as it is a living organism. However it is not a perfect copy, the common result of a shapeshift are the eyes which do not have pupils. Another evolutionary gift of the Kartathans is their ability to produce a venom that can be paralytic or fatal. The paralytic variation lasts for a few hours while the fatal counterpart can kill in a matter of minutes. These poisons can be secreted through a Kartathans claws or laced onto needles that can be fired from the mouth.  Abilities: Hero Or Villian: Hero Crush: Relationship Status: No interest in humans Short Bio: From the planet Kartath, Casan'Vralcar is of a race of amorphous humanoids. The Kartathans' civilization is a complex one, they are a series of nomadic tribes that wander the expansive desert planet in search of food, shelter, and conquest. They war with each other quite often and such a harsh and strict life has created a harsh and strict people. The Kartathans technology has always been centered around weapons and while they have space age grade weapons everything else is rather primitive. Every member of the tribe has role in the tribe and cannot deviate from that role. Those that do are outcasts and often killed. Casan was a soldier for his tribe and during a mission to capture enemy weapons he discovered that they had been developing advanced ways of travel. A teleportation device meant to be used as troop transport across the planet. When his team attempted to destroy it the result was quite the opposite. The device malfunctioned, staying open long enough to suck Casan through before exploding killing the rest of his team. The teleportation device landed him on Earth where he eventually was contacted by Young Justice not only to one day be an emissary if his race to one day arrive on earth but to also aid in the planet's defense against evil as was his original role back on Kartath. Other:
  • Casan often wears a biosuit when in combat which changes to fit whatever form he takes on.
  • Casan can change into any form no matter the gender.
  • Despite looking older than he is, Casan is 19. The reason for his older appearance when in his frequent human shape is because that was the first human he met once arriving on earth.
  • As a Kartathan Casan stands 7'1" tall but his human form is 5'9"

EVE's statement brought serious concern to Iremea. "A safe haven from what exactly?", she asked. She began to theorize the possible reasons for them being taken. If this was a safe haven then it's meant to protect from an outside force. But if she was taken off her world..The danger was to the entire realm! If this was true then there was a possibility that she and Kaszear would never see their home again. She looked to Kaszear with eyes of despair, he knew as well what this could mean but he showed no emotion other than a stern stare at EVE. His life was in service to his people, to protect those under his house. If their entire world was gone then his purpose was no longer to protect his people but his wife. But how could he do that? He knew nothing of where they were, the world outside this pyramid would not be a kind one to the couple. All he could do now was pray the gods would spare their home that they may one day return. Iremea spoke to Kaszear, it was not a long conversation but a few short words. Words that meant more to them two than anyone else here,"Ko Pahgein Mu Lahniv". Kaszear replied with the same words before walking back over to her side. Iremea directed her attention back to EVE, "Please it is imperative that you tell us all you know of why we are here. It may be possible to stop whatever is coming", her words were desperate. She wanted there to be a way to stop whatever was happening but in the back of her thoughts she knew it was probably inevitable. The Great Cleansing had arrived and she would not be there to be with the all mother and father again..
Cole Harland
Age: 34(was changed at 26)  Bio: Born and raised in Manhattan, Cole grew up in the Lower East Side of the city with his mother and younger brother, Jonathan. His mother, Caitlyn, raised her two children after their father died though she would not tell the boys how until they were much older. Cole always got into fights at school due to his brother being bullied as Jonathan was not as social as his brother. The two brother had each others backs and when it was time to go to college the Harlands were the life of every party. Jonathan became more of a socialite and Cole, while still an avid partygoer, began to focus more energy into his studies.  After college the brothers didn't really have much. While Cole was more than willing to get a job Jonathan was leaning towards more illegal sources of pay. Cole, being the big brother, felt the need to watch his brother's back like the old days and so the two worked together for soemtime in the underworld of Manhattan. Guarding shipments, transporting drugs, collecting protection money, the usual mob business. It wasn't until Cole was twenty-six that things would start to get ugly. Jonathan was getting ambitious and was soon making big moves in the underworld. Cole wanted to get out but to do that he and his brother had to pull one more job. It was a classic snatch and grab, apparently this guy owed someone a large abount of money and need to be taught a lesson. The brothers chased him down and into an alleyway, they thought they had him cornered but that's when everything went to hell. Something was there with them in the dark. It killed the guy they were chasing and then attacked the Harlands. Cole woke up in the Coven of House Blackmoore but he never found out the fate of his brother.  Cole desperately searched for Jonathan, using his brother's sources and contacts he scoured the city but there was no word of his younger brother...it's been almost a decade.  Personality:As a result of his experiences during childhood Cole is a very tough guy. He rarely lets his emotions cloud his judgement and not many are able to see the true him, the side that is hurting after the loss of his brother. When not on business however Cole can be an entertaining friend. When not working for the family he spends his times either at nightclubs, bars, or any place that has drinks, music, and women. Attaining immortality has change the way he goes about living his life. He is not so much worried about the future as he has all the time to plan for it. His desire to hold onto that immortality has made him capable of doing whatever is necessary to continue being immortal. To put it simply Cole is hurt, but thanks to his immortality he has a lifetime to drink his sorrows away which makes him willing to do anything to keep that gift.  Family: Blackmoore Power: Cole has the ability to cause anything he touches to decay at an accelerated rate. This depends on the size, thickness, and material of the object. Humans can be decomposed in about one minute. Things like a car or any inorganic material would take slightly longer from a minute and a half to two minutes.  Side:While Cole has no hatred for humans he does not wish for any sort of assimilation or for them to discover vampires. He fears they will react as they have in the past when faced with the unknown which is with violence. Weapons:
Scarlet- A Stainless Steel Remington Colt 1911
Crimson- A Spring Assisted Pocket Knife
Workin on it as we speak.
Hey not sure if anyone remembers me but I applied to the original RP before it was closed. Are you still accepting?

"It is a pleasure to meet you EVE", Iremea replied. Despite her previous discussions with Akila being of a friendly nature EVE response was met with calm neutrality. Iremea was by no means upset or suspicious of EVE but if the Aeta had information on her freedom she was willing to excuse formalities at the moment. "Forgive me for my abruptness but I must ask you what you know of this place. We all wish to escape from here and right now you are the only one capable of freeing us"
