The knight grabbed a handful of vegetables and set to work peeling and chopping them. As Alaree left the room and Viora made her apology he looked over his shoulder.

"Was there a discount for hiring you in threes?"

Without waiting for a response he went back to finishing his self assigned task. After a moment he pushed the prepared vegetables into the pot that brunette had prepared earlier.

"Thank you, but I'll eat with he other knights. Lady Viora. I am content to assist you however I can."

Indrau then moved to the storage area himself and returned with a bundle of firewood under one arm that he fed into the stove.
I thought that @Raineh Daze was going to post?

  • Name: Illarion Natzhov
  • Age: 124
  • Gender: !
  • Appearance:
  • Personality: Illarion is headstrong and self righteous. In their own eyes they can do nothing wrong and only they matter. Mere mortals exist to be subjugated and those that oppose should be crushed. Even so, they protect their followers with a fanaticism only rivaled by their devotion to them.

They're not totally unlikable. Illarion is naturally passive and reflective, content to sit and observe the world until they set their sights on a task. Rather than anger they display a profound amount of righteous indignation.
  • Equipment: them self and anything metal that happens to be within reach.
  • Abilities: Illarion is an Ferromancer on a power trip. They can freely manipulate metals around it according to their will. What makes Illarion special is that over the years they have established cults devoted to their worship, The Disciples Of The Metal God, whose worship boosts their power to that far beyond that of a simple elemental.

Metal Manipulation and integration - Illarion can integrate their body with anything made out of metal. They can manipulate it and form it as if it were an extension of their own body. This affinity is strongest with iron and steel but moderate to mild effects can be used on other metals.

False Idol - Illarion gathers worshippers and in doing so increases their power. Currently Illarion is much more durable than they would ordinarilly be and do not age.
  • Skills: Forging documents, manipulating people.
  • Brief Backstory:
This Opened Eye aspires to godhood and absolute dominion over its followers. Until the age of 15 Illarion was a fairly normal, if narcissistic teenager. They were a bit of a bully but not of the caliber to be taken notice of. Then came the Red Strike.

Illarion now had powers and, more than that, they became more powerful the more that people talked about them. They were, now more than ever, the center of their own universe, second to nobody and all powerful. It took little for them to catch on and begin to perform feats that would be talked about, things that made newspapers across the country. This sufficed for a time, just the attention and fuel for their ego was sufficient motivation to continue.

It took a handful of years to discover that the next step up from people talking about them was someone directly worshiping them. Illarion began work on setting up a cult, finding impressionable and unstable people and presenting their self to them as The Metal God. The largest struggle was in surviving the Russian Revolution and the Second World War. Both took their toll among the followers and Illarion found it necessary to flee the Soviet Union.

New chapters were formed in the western world, small bands of believers that might some day grow beyond themselves and usher in the new world. Unfortunately the cult grows slowly, especially lately. Religion is on the decline and it is difficult to replace established beliefs. But Illarion is ever confident in their own self and the faith of their followers.
  • Allegiance: Their own self
Took me long enough to get this together. I'm lazy.

Fuuka is 5'1, Kotori is... 5'3 about(judging by Japanese woman heights), and Kotori is under five feet.

Kotori is both over and under 5'... This is very interesting.
@TheFake

Maybe if it was your character.

But I don't think it is, is it?

No, but that is how I interpreted the actions as an observer. A grown man acts in an immature and totally out of character manner. In a room full of burly mercenaries they might not have kicked his ass into next week on the spot but they sure as hell wouldn't trust someone who just acted out like that. I work a relatively boring job and I sure as hell wouldn't want to work with someone who acted like that, even as a 'test'.

If he wants to trust people then he should give them a reason to trust him in return.
@TheFake

I don't see why you picture that.

All I was doing was trying to get some info. The most reliable way to know how other will act in any given situation is by observing their actions.

I still fail in seeing how his actions can be perceived as a 13 years old boy.

Here's what I saw.

"Well, now that I am already awake, we might make things a little more lively here, cant we?" he said.
"This silence is maddening!" he said, putting a modern electronic music to play and putting the headphones on the table.

He comes into the room, grabs a bag of chips, sits down and then proceeds to make an effort to draw attention to himself in an obvious manner.

Suddenly they started to play a lot higher than it would be normally possible with headphones. The music filled the room, loud, but not loud enough to be irritating.

"I've never said that I disliked the modern music, have I?" He thought to himself, with a smile.
"Come on! We have some free time before the next mission. Have fun!" he said, snapping his fingers as the completely normal lamps from the cafeteria began to flash with many different colors.

He then proceeds to, to paraphrase his own words in your next post, "act like children a child. Noisy, unsubtle, lacking social skills to infiltrate even a kindergarten. Lacking control of yourselves, lacking the restraint" Everyone else is minding their own business and he acts in a deliberately obnoxious way.

I'm sorry if I'm sounding too harsh, but in our line of work, we don't have a second chance.

to be perfectly honest, after a demonstration like that, he blew his chance at a good first impression. even with a peaceful resolution I doubt that anyone would actually want to work with him after a stunt like that.

"Next time maybe I should play a different type of music?" he asked, looking to them with a smirk as he walked out.

And then he makes light of the situation.

"Miss Miyu, I believe we have a... problem with our team. Probably you already know about my skills and abilities. You probably also know about my modus operandi. The brief test I made revealed that the team is unsuitable to work with more delicate missions. They might make a good search and destroy team, waving their fists around, yelling and acting harshly, but I'm not comfortable trusting my life to them. I'm certain they don't have the necessary skills to partake in missions that don't involve brute force."

He acts like he is better than everyone else, goes over their heads instead of sticking around to actually talk to them. This entire thing was absolutely the wrong way to go about this. To see how somebody reacts under stress, you put them in a stressful situation. you don't provoke them with a childish display. Maybe set up a professionally run exercise to see how they do.
Your characters sheet made him look mature and responsible. Looking at the posts in question I pictured a 13 year old kid just goofing off. It was actually quite jarring and felt totally out of character.

Tamachan

The nickname made her happy, a feeling that she was still working on getting used to. Human emotions were complicated, though maybe neccessary. It might do to think on that later. A second later came a flash of something else, something that she didn't like at all. Anger. Her eyes faded from their natural pink to a slightly menacing red.

This... Bragi fellow, another agent. This short interaction told her so much more about him than the short meeting earlier. Prideful, self important. Tamako disliked him immediately She quickly decided against any actions at that point. Words, at that point would not sway his opinion. distrustful, arrogant. She catalogued more observations, watching carefully with a cool look. Body temperatures betrayed the feelings of everyone in the room. She resolved to keep this in mind, perhaps find a way to work with him. He was a shooter, as was she. The android doubted that he was as accurate as she was.

After he left Tamako turned back to Jennifer and Fuuka, eyes returned to their normal color.

"Yes. That would be perfect."

She took the pizza in hand and headed straight for the stairwell.

Sir Indrau groaned and wiped a hand across his face. Gone was his chance to sit, drink and brood in peace. They should know well enough that he hated titles, especially when applied to him. He never considered himself a Knight, with a capital K. Indrau was merely a knight, one that followed and supported (and called people idiots when they really needed it). Even the captain only warranted being called by her last name. They must enjoy tormenting him, to act in such a way.

Of course, how low would he'd have sunk if he became angry with the maids. He sighed and unbuckled his sword belt, setting it in a corner by the doorway. The bracers and pauldrons came off next, these being dumped unceremoniously on the floor next to the blade. Indrau now rolled up his sleeves and limped over to the counter, grabbing a knife. He pointed to the pink haired maid with his opposite hand.

"Go fetch the meat then. Beef. Has to be red meat. Good for the blood and builds muscle."

He didn't like being treated like anyone special but they wouldn't be happy with him helping. And that short one certainly needed to be given something to do. He had been tempted to leave, but that would be to admit defeat and the Crippled Lion wasn't one to walk away from a battle.
