Vira looked at the vendors wares and frowned a little behind her mask. There wasn’t really anything to catch her eye… and she was pretty much broke anyway. She waited politely for a moment, observing the rest of the party and silently judging them. Thus far though she had an amount of respect for a few of the party. Some she knew by reputation but for the most part their identities were new to her. Two of those she had dubbed Shorty and Rude. After a moment she had had enough of waiting.
“Can we leave now? Some of us may have bills to pay.”
He looked over as someone seemed to try to get his attention with a non verbal groan. There was a girl there along with two armed people with swords. They all appeared to stand out as much as he did, especially given that nobody passing by appeared to carry any kind of weapons. He walked over and frowned. The girl seemed to want to approach them and he restrained her with a gentle hand on her shoulder.
“If you’ve no involvement in this then I suggest that we observe.”
Meddling in the affairs of others was a sure way to make enemies, and he avoided it wherever possible. Given that he had typically been one of those being manipulated, Ben might have been a little bit biased. But that didn’t mean he shouldn’t be prepared. The mage opened himself to several warrens, holding the power ready should he need it. @Crusader Lord@PKMNB0Y

While he was trying to decide which shop might sell him a new phone when all hell broke loose. People were running with others on the ground. A figure in archaic looking clothing carrying a sword was cutting people down before seeming to pick a fight with a girl in a long coat.
He reached for his gun but held off. Firearms laws in Japan were strict and having a concealed pistol would be a major issue for him to deal with. As with most people he had met with a tendency to dress eccentrically, the girl in the coat appeared to be able to even the scales with some sort of magic.
“Give me a fucking break.”
He maneuvered himself around to one side, watching carefully for an opening without making himself appear as a threat. @VitaVitaAR@PKMNB0Y
Personality: Sonya is a quiet, withdrawn girl. Despite her past, she is trusting when given cause and hopeful in any situation despite having such feelings dashed to pieces repeatedly. Recently she has made progress in coming out of her shell, making friends and interacting with others. Skills: She is used to having to keep a low profile, moving quietly in environments where people that might be around might not have the best intentions. Sonya is very self sufficient, having little trouble surviving on her own. Brief Backstory: The optimistic girl relished every opportunity to help others and as a magical girl she exercised her freedom to defend ordinary humans from the darkness that stalked the night. She was a might avenging archangel that struck out with righteous fury.
But things changed. All too quickly her world was shattered with the fury and fire of mankind. War erupted throughout her homeland. With the conflict came a greater surge of darkness than ever before. But even with her abilities she failed to have any power during the day, when the most dire threat was mankind. The pressure of the escalating conflict combined with her inability to help in any lasting way drove her to the edge, and she fled the area.
Sonya ended up a refugee in another country, eventually making her way to Japan and ending up with a foster family. The year since has been a period of healing, letting her rebuild herself into someone that can function in society.
Magical Girl Appearance: Angel of Destruction Concept: Destruction Archetype: Abaddon Abilities: Sonya specializes in spectacularly destructive ranged attacks. Outside of the Abyss she is restricted in how she projects this power to a fraction of her normal output. With no restrictions in place and no danger of civilian casualties she is easilly capable of annihilating large buildings and entire city blocks. In her left hand she carries the Key Of The Abyss and he right wields Apollyon, The Destroyer.
Gate of Abaddon: The Key is stabbed into the ground, pulling those nearby into the Abyss when activated, a place of ice and fire that mirrors the real world. It can be entered or left at will by touching the Key. Blade of Destruction: A beam of multicoloured, distorted light surges from her weapon, causing damage in a straight line or on a plane that follows her point of aim. Rage of Angels: Multiple arcs of destructive energy burst out from her body at varying angles. Fires of the Abyss: cleansing fire rains from the sky, obliterating everything in sight. This is only usable in the Abyss for obvious reasons.

The mage woke up on a bench, snow dusting the shoulders of his rain cape. It wasn’t particularly cold but he shivered anyway, there was no telling how long he had been sitting there. Ben stood and shook the snow off, looking around and trying to figure out where in the abyss he had ended up this time.
Nothing looked familiar, from the red and white metal tower to the densely packed buildings that seemed so large as to defy comprehension. The architecture and the people matched no land that he had ever visited, and he had visited every land yet touched by the empire, with the addition of a few besides. It wasn’t any kind of warren either, he was surrounded by humans, without a single other race in sight.
He turned in a circle, looking at the people going about their business with a profoundly lost look on his face.

Kincaid stepped off of the subway train, walking through the crowds and feeling uneasy. He had a vague idea that he was in Japan, likely somewhere in Tokyo. The last job he remembered having was as a bodyguard to The Archive, but given that she wasn’t here and he wasn’t presently kicking ass he was likely between jobs.
As he moved through the crowd he patted himself down, finding his pistol in a shoulder holster concealed back under his arm, cash in a pocket and a brace of knives on the side opposite the pistol. He found his phone and pulled it out. No service.
He swore under his breath. Damned thing must have been broken. He slipped it back into his pocket and swore again. He’d have to buy a new one and then go about figuring out how he had ended up in Japan of all places. At the top of the stairs leading out onto the street he looked around for a bank to convert some of his American cash.
