Unrelenting Pursuit

Christian Highfell

Day 1, Brunch time to Early Afternoon

Information scrolled up one the central screen on the Stormlord’s desk. News feeds from Galendar, nations economic standings, criminal reports, the list continued. A gentle ping at the bottom of the screen made Shard sit up a little from his slump over the desk. The day had been fully uneventful. Looking at the RSVP list for the wedding he smiled; most of the Knights who were here had responded. Urthar’s report had been turned in along with Akime’s and the other Masters. The usual red highlight for Ralrisk’s name was in its proper place.

Christian’s enigmatic and childish Mistress of Shadows never included a report for anything unless it was dire. It was also probably for the best as she ran her division of Knights much differently than other divisions. Shard doubted he wanted to see some of the reports he was sure she’d have handed him if he’d bothered to pressure her for them.

Sitting back in the chair Shard picked up a rather large hand and a half sword off the desk and unsheathed it. With practiced hands he began cleaning and giving the sword a new edge. Not that the maintenance was necessary he simply enjoyed cleaning Thunderstruck and Lightningshock. The smaller one handed short sword was still sitting on the desk next to a heft shield made of a polished bronze material. Cloudmantle had already been polished for the day. The weapons were way out of date but in the Lord of Storms hands they could still rend armies. Many had questioned him for keeping the relics as The Ace of Storms and Heart of Storms were more than enough for any situation but Shard simply shrugged them off and continued to maintain the old weapons.

Tapping the ping he squinted at the bio that popped up on the screen. “Why are you sending me…?” Pulling up Sentinel’s visual feed Shard compared the picture on the bio print to the girl standing in the entry hall of the Tower. “What the actual fuck..?” Standing up Shard seized on the Ace of Storms and flickered from the top of the Tower into the entryway a safe distance from Sentinel’s Golem and the red hooded girl.

“Archive, pull the info we have on this girl and her relatives.” The Archive pinged its response. Stepping around the corner Shard approached the girl. “Good morning miss. What brings you to the Tower of Stars today?”

@lovely complex
Okay, any last stuff you guys wanna post I wanna wrap up day one by like tomorrow or sunday
Jerry smiled at the beautiful young woman who opened the door and opened his mouth to respond to her greeting when she was interrupted by another dark haired woman who appeared from behind her. The younger woman was clearly upset by the appearance of her mother. Jerry made a mental note of what appeared to be a strained relationship. Tracking her run away from the house he furrowed his brow before turning back to the woman.

Taking in the dark haired beauty standing in the doorway it was quite clear where the younger woman got her own beauty. “Hello, I’m Jeremiah I just moved in across the street and I figured I might as well introduce myself. I hope I didn’t cause that.” That had been such a quick shift and it was bringing out the police officer in Jerry as he turned to look towards where she’d run off to. “Is your daughter going to be okay?” Absent mindedly Jerry tucked his thumb into his belt next to his badge and ASP as he leaned out off the porch.

The girl was certainly fast but then again it looked like she’d been preparing for a run before she opened the door so no doubt she was athletic. ”Damn she is certainly fast.”

He turned back and her prominent cleavage finally caught his attention causing him to double take before meeting her eyes. Well, this was going well. At some point here hopefully he’d meet a normal person in Millington. An image of Nana popped into his head and a small smile tugged at his lips.

Normal would be an insult

Tango Down

Megelis

Day 1, Morning.

As the elevator stopped on his floor Megelis looked up from the glass tablet he was carrying. It seemed Shard had skipped out on sparring in the morning so it was on to the next thing. Senechal more or less had the whole wedding settled down and was running down the details. “Can you pull the footage from auxillary room 36a?” The A.I. chimed in his ear. spying on Mistress Zalthrim are we? Megelis rolled his eyes at the A.I. for whatever reason Senechal had been programmed with attitude; Shard never seemed to have an A.I. but everyone else always seemed to have a story about how Senechal had sassed them or done something purposefully to the letter of the order causing it to not quite work out as intended. Archive and Sentinel never did anything like that but it was probably Shard’s fault for programming Senechal with more personality.

The footage in question appeared on his tablet as he stepped into the elevator not really noticing the occupants. It was a horror film. While Ris had always been picky she’d been a fit from the word go and Senechal had not made it better. Wincing as she threw the tablet at the A.I. he closed out of the footage. That was one thing he was going to have to fix today. Ever since Blackgate prison Ris had been giving him the cold shoulder. It was now very apparent she was pissed at him about something; given her explosive expletives with Senechal and the childlike tantrum.

Looking up it finally dawned on the Master of Blade that he wasn’t alone in the elevator. Taking in the mech pilot, Bunny, the rather eccentric mechanic Shard had taken on a while back, and the rather blank looking Hellspawn; Megelis cocked an eyebrow as he surveyed the odd group.

“Mornin”

ready and waiting for the timeskip

Got it; im gonna give Wind wild another day or so to catch up then we'll go ahead and go to the next day i just want everyone in the same boat.

Okay lets take a quick look at this post here. Maybe I'm going to come off as little rude but i've been pretty clear so far. So here we go.

I've stated several times we will be doing a few posts for the first day. The idea of the first day was to give everyone a chance to post something. Do some intros do a little bit of introduction. All that fun stuff. Day two will be a few more posts in the same vein so we can do the last of the set up before the wedding. Then we will do the wedding and get into the meat of where this season is going.

@Dead Cruiser
Okay. Here is Urthar's response just for reference.

Leviathan Nero

With a blink Urthar didn’t bother to acknowledge that Levi was being foolishly rude. Most disrespect came from an over inflated ego and the thought that it was safe to insult beings that could wipe you from the face of existence with a twitch of their hand. Urthar calmly propped himself on his cane as Levi continued to work on his science project. Atleast he was persistent and relatively proficient. Then again Christian rarely took on those without skill; fools certainly could be tolerated if they had a useful skill.

In this paragraph Urthar is responding to the fact that frankly Levi was being a bit foolish since as the Character section outlines. Full Aberrants are very powerful dangerous beings. That being said in Urthar's opinion Levi's skills appear to be sound

“I think you will find The Stormlord and his Knights do not fear the Gods.” Urthar inspected the metal shell as he ignore Levi’s disrespectful tone. It was a pitiful attempt at best. The fool was still using metals from this reality; eyeing the spell book Levi toted with him Urthar cocked an eyebrow. Atleast he was trying to use infinity to power it but it was still a less than incredible attempt. Given a few more decades the man might produce something more interesting as far as the Master of Word was concerned.

Right here we see that Urthar is responding directly to a comment Levi made about being afraid of the Gods. There is some background exposition that is missing here and it is intentional but if you read Ralrisk's character sheet which is fully detailed in the Characer section it tells a story about how one of the God of Law came down and tried to murder her. Christian and Urthar sent it packing. You would have had to dig a little for the information but it IS presented in the character section. I didn't expect you to read everything which is why I wasn't expecting you to get the reference but it was there and i DID provide the info

“Well, Now that I see the progress I think I understand the Stormlords lack of fear as far as this project is concerned.” Peeling back reality Urthar peered into the inner workings of the machine, it was crude. It would certainly be interesting if he managed to find a Divine spark. Tilting his head Urthar kept peering; it was ingenious for a mortal that was for sure. With a shrug Urthar set a small piece of glass on the work table. “The Stormlord request your presence for his wedding, it’s not a request. Turning it down would be unwise as this sort of research would probably draw unwanted attention without the protection of the Avatar of Storms.” Turning Urthar walked to the door and pulled it open. Without a word he passed through the door and the alien presence that followed the man everywhere receded as he descended deeper into the foundations of the Tower.

This right here is Levi's invite to the wedding so that I can gather up all the characters. You'll notice the majority of my other response posts are a bit brief and have the intended purpose of gathering up all the characters. After Urthar delivers this he makes his exit which is a direct response to Levi telling him that he knows where the door is.

I've made the sections where he directly responds to Levi's post red for the purpose of highlighting how this was infact a direct response and there were no assumptions. After your first voicing of concerns I went ahead and added everything that was asked for to the Character section and First OOC post. If there is still more info you need feel free to ask I'm happy to update things that maybe I missed. I'm not flawless. I'm human. We all make mistakes.

Sorry for the confusion and I'm sorry if this is a bit direct but I felt it was warranted as there seems to be a bit of confusion about how things work.

For future reference.

You may have noticed certain posts have headers like this:

From the Ground Up

Adéla, Urthar

Day 1, Late Evening

Basically the post has a Title which is kept consistant for each response. Which I did for Both of Urthar's responses. It also includes a Day # (we are on day one for the record in case there is any confusion. If a post has a different day it is probably a flash back.) as well as a time of day. It also includes all the characters that appear in the scene.

Any questions?

Should I expect a response from Urthar?

There is a response. It's right under your last post.
