Like I said, depending on the map I may not even be in the game (although you did confirm a fantasy map, a map not reflecting multiple demographic regions will also render my interest obsolete).

You can have the Japanese based civilization. I'll just do something else. :)

Fusan is simply a fictional version of Imperial Japan; homogeneous culture, national alienation and expansionism being the primary tenets.

Well, if the game map is ultimately decided to be the Earth map, I will simply retract my interest in the game. So, we'll see what happens.

I would like to play the Asiatic Empire of Fusan, so long as there is an Asiatic continent in which to do so.

The map I posted above I just made up fairly quickly, but regardless of which map is used (so long as it's not an Earth map), should be fun so long as it is adequately sized and contains a European, African and Asiatic setting.

Although it wasn't originally apart of my plan, the timeline scheme may be fruitful for chronology as well as ensuring everybody's actions are "handled."

Also, I'm going to incorporate a minor economic system so everyone knows where their nation stands and why factories are important.

Otherwise, go on into 1837!
