Esmeralda is intimidating, cold and fearless, which is something she knows perfectly. She has a special case of self adoration, thinking of herself as a Goddess or untouchable person. If there is anything Esmeralda wants, there’s nothing she won’t do to get it. Her wit and intelligence is also something she controls. Esmeralda is someone who needs to have full control over something. If she doesn’t she’ll go fully psychopath on the world. Esmeralda has always had a very business ethic sort of view point, choosing to believe that the best possible option is usually the one that involves the most money. Greed doesn’t motivate her but she has been brought up to always think of how her actions will not only portray her but also her family’s name. Family is also a huge part of her life, living every sunday afternoon at the family's compound.

All About My Past
An heiress from birth, Esmeralda never understood what it was like to want for anything. Everything always handed to her on a silver platter, the young woman merely accepted the lifestyle she was brought up in. From a young age, her parents sheltered the girl. Only allowing their daughter to socialize with tutors, scholars and other important members of society. The Cardona family blood line strictly hispanic and reserved, a respectable family for generations.

Built from scratch her great, great, great grandfather had built the first Cardona hotel in Madrid. It didn’t take more than a decade for the chain to start and within the next thirty years more than twelve five star hotels and casinos rose up among the finest European cities. Now three generations later, Esmeralda is eighty percent owner of a chain that expands not only Europe but all over the world in North America, Asia and the islands.

Esmeralda moved from her home in Madrid to States where she not only leads all business meetings to control her large corporation but also works closely with family's business. Little is known, she is the next heir of the Spanish Mafia which she does her best to keep hidden.

New York, year 2015; not much has changed in the City that never sleeps, or, at least, as far as the common eye can tell. Because behind closed doors and street corners, evil is afoot. The streets of modern day New York can be tough on people with no allegiance. When people work for long hours with little pay; that’s when most people get connect to a family.

The Italian Mafia: The Cosa Nostra, has been in the game the longest, and knows the various trades well. They have the most members. They have successfully managed to unite most of the crime in New York under their own personal banner. They have managed to bring everyone from the Irish thugs, to the Russian Mafia, to even the Japanese under the Cosa Nostra name. The Cosa Nostra controls most of the chains of drug department.

The Irish Mafia: The West End Mob, have the most brutal members, all of which are adept at hand to hand combat. These guys wear expensive clothes, drive fast cars, carry big guns and specialize in robbing banks.You don't want to get on their bad side. The Irish mob dominated New York's underworld for well over a century before facing competition from other, primarily recently arrived Italian and Jewish gangs. The West End Mob managed to hold control of all of the guns trade businesses.

The Russian Mafia: Obshina Bratva, come from a harsh war-torn home, where everyday seems like a fight to survive. A great deal of them was ex-KGB and Spetznaz. The former Soviet Bloc's opening up to the world and the internationalization of its economy also gave the Russian mafia connections to other criminal organizations around the world such as the Chinese Triads or the Sicilian Cosa Nostra. Connections with Latin American drug cartels allowed the Russian mafia to import cocaine into the country. The Obshina Bratva control all prostitution rings throughout the city.

The Spanish Mafia: Los Bustamante, the new kids on the block, they are rising quickly with power. Already have business in most of South America, Central America, Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico. Los Bustamante is a very tight knit family, group of men-of-honor, not only joined by Mafia bonds, but also by ties of blood. Los Bustamante has maintained to build a chain of casinos throughout the five boroughs which managed to be hot spots of the underworld crimes.

The Asian Mafia: The White Dragon Triad, activities present in Asian communities around Southeast Asia. When Malaysia and Singapore, which have the region's largest population of ethnic Chinese, first became Crown Colonies, secret societies and triads were much more common and controlled the local communities similar to the way the Cosa Nostra did through extortion of "protection money" and illegal money lending, causing to grow and move to the states. Many conducted blood rituals such as drinking one another's blood as a sign of brotherhood, while others engaged in running opium dens and brothels. They are often involved in helping immigrants enter countries illegally, for a price.

The Cosa Nostra and West End Mob have been caught in a rivalry that spans decades. While they've been focused on each other, the White Dragon Triad and Los Bustamante have risen. Leaving Obshina Bratva, to thrive in the ashes of the ongoing war.

To each family there is an heir, someone they have chosen to become the next Don of the family. These mobsters, each with different backgrounds and history, must prove to their family that they are the best. What happens when the Don to be begin getting a little too greedy? In these streets, it's all about survival of the fittest. Do you think you have what it takes to survive?

Let the drama ensue, and as we begin to realize the true meaning of It's a Family Business.
