Gabriel realized, of course, that both Adam and Bedhivere were on his island. He also realized that both knew better than to challenge his ownership of the island, and that they would remain in the 'public' parts of Hawaii. He refrained from digging around in their brains, knowing that they might sense him and take offence. But through the thoughts of the hotel attendants he could easily glean the matters being discussed, and he was as such well aware of Adam's plans. It was an interesting enough notion, releasing the old Alucard back into the world. But Gabriel planned to soon hold this world in the palm of his hand.

The time had come that he step out from the shadows, and once more revealed himself as the absolute Lord of this world, the ruler of all life on this pathetic ball of dirt. He would build the world he desired, the world he had once attempted to create. He had failed before, but in their ravenous desire for knowledge, the mortals had perhaps discovered that which he had once missed. And in the eyes of his son, he had perhaps found that which he had never possessed.

He had walked through countless corridors and doors, through the maze of his ancient Hawaiian mansion. It had taken years to construct, but it was a beautiful piece of art. From here, he would orchestrate his plans. He sat down in his recording room, as a camera crew set up around him. Lighting and audio were fine tuned, only the best equipment was acceptable. Still such things amazed and astounded Gabriel, that the machines of man had ascended beyond even his own powers of communication. But it was in an age of wonder and change that he lived, and it was in this age that the New World would dawn.

The tape started rolling, and Gabriel grinned at the camera. It was odd, addressing an inanimate object. But he had practised plenty of times before, and he was certain to get it this time. Through this device Gabriel's true face was revealed, free from the illusions that usually encased him. Less handsome, slightly less tall. But most noticeably, the massive scar that ran down his face. A wound that no amount of power and no amount of science could heal. But regardless, he was still recognizable. They would still know him, and they would still know his power.

"What has our race come to, I ask myself. How did we fall from the Lords of the Night to mere vermin, scrambling into our hiding place to avoid the wrath of mortals?" Gabriel chuckles, as he leans back. "One of our own hunts the Council, the Purge are cleansing the entirety of America, and even secretive Brittain is beginning to fall. Truly, it's a pathetic sight when the plans of great warriors crumble." Gabriel's smile shifts, and no longer was it jolly. It was cold, it was twisted. It was full of malicious intent, the kind of determined evil that had not graced the face of the planet for 3000 years. "Those who wish to remain vermin are free to hide in the cracks. But I will not be put down so easily. Hawaii has long been my manor, but I now proclaim it the homeland of all vampires. Here, we will gather, and here I will provide sanctuary to all those who wish for it. The Council will be assembled once more, and once more I will lead it into an age of darkness."

"A new age is dawning, and a New World is to be created. We will turn the oceans red with blood, and we will cover the land with the bones of the unworthy. Hereby, I proclaim the Age of Man at an end."

The message would be spread, broadcast across the world. Gabriel had made the necessary arrangements already. It would be shown in many languages, in many different countries. It was time for the world to know the terror of the Lord of Vampires. And it was time for the Elder Council to gather one, final time.

Kami nodded at North's request. [If you follow my terms, your people will not be slaughtered. If they do not....] Kami flicked his wrist, and there was a flash of silver. Kami ducked forward as a bullet whizzed past the back of his head, before straightening up again. [You are in no position to make demands. Your choices are simple. You can accept our mercy, or you can condemn those who follow you.] Kami's voice was as monotone as ever, which somehow made him seem all the more threatening.

Ford was sitting backwards, realizing that he had accidentally fired his weapon. A large silver knife in the shape of a crucifix was embedded into his gun, flung with enough force to part the metal of the barrel. Whether it had been infrared, electromagnetic, or simply visual, Kami was a master of perception. Sneaking up on him was clearly not an option.

Kami stepped forward, striking an imposing figure. He was the perfect warrior, an unstoppable force. Reflexes so fast they could match the most legendary of vampires, and a prodigious mind capable of instantly calculating the firing path of a bullet. He had single-handedly slaughtered nearly a hundred highly trained SOLDIER agents using nothing more than a knife. Nothing short of an army would be a threat to this guy. [HIVE once walked a righteous path. Now they have fallen into corruption, turning their backs on mankind. They will be killed along with their parasitic allies. But their fate should not concern you.]

[Realize in this moment, that you are a terrorist. You are guilty of an armed raid against a military weapons storage facility, resulting in the deaths of over 50 US soldiers. You are an enemy of the government, and you will be brought before the court of law.] Kami paused for a moment to allow his words to sink in. [However, we are agents of God before we are agents of the country. And God is merciful above all, willing to forgive even the most delusional among his children. We are willing to forget past transgressions, and I extend this same mercy to your entire organization. There is, however, a condition.]

[You will surrender to us your weapons, and you will surrender to us your technology. Your people will either lay down their arms, or join our cause. We cannot allow a rogue organization such as yourself to continue it's activities within our borders. All crimes will be forgotten, and all people associated with your organization will be allowed free leave.] Kami reaches to his side, and retrieves one of his specialized katana. He raises it upwards in what is clearly a threat. [Do you accept the offer of mercy, or would you rather we engage in battle?]
So...... is this ever going to be a thing?

I think making HCL less free than it is would kill it instantly. I've tried it before, to catastrophic effect. Everybody left, and it got so bad that I turned back time, and left Tiny in charge of the new HCL.

A reboot is in order, but it needs to maintain the freedom that defines HCL.
Posted, so all the people in the Jeep now have a reply.

The bullet struck what appeared to be the Crusader's head, easily breaking through the lightly armoured outside of the crusader helmet. Little did North know that these helmets served a mostly decorative purpose, and that the nervous system of the cyborg was interred deep within it's mechanical body, under layers of armour. The blow did nothing more than annoy the Crusader, who bellowed in his loud, robotic voice as he descended upon North and his allies. Electronic muscles whirred and buzzed as his large robotic arm swung downwards, the massive 2 ton blade aimed at North's face.

[Stop.]

Instantly, the Crusader freezes in mid-strike. The other Crusader similarly stops, stepping backwards to allow Kami to pass. The sleek form of the legendary vampire hunter stepped forward, but the only person who would notice something was Katya. Kami was different. Previously, he had moved methodically, efficiently. Now, there seemed to be a spring in his steps. He was still agile and graceful, but no longer were his movements like those of a robot. It was a slight change, but an omen of what was to come.

[/My Lord, I request permission to inflict justice upon the rebels./]

Sir Everet, the Crusader with a hole in his helmet, spoke loudly. Unlike Kami and the Crusaders, the Paladins seemed to retain some level of individuality. At the very least Sir Everet seemed to have traces of anger in his computer-generated voice.

[I believe I will deal with the issue personally.]

[/Sir, there is no reason for you to get involved./]

The second Paladin, Sire Comfort, pitched in helpfully on the side. [/It is best if we deal with these pests now, before they return to their base. We can use their suits to attempt to track the location of their base./]

In the distance, and explosion can be heard. There's a moment of silence, as Kami seems to be considering something being said to him through his communications gear. [It seems their suits self destruct. Recovering them is no longer a viable course of action. It seems I will need to resort to more unconventional methods. Step back, and kill any of the rebels that attempt to escape.]

With that said, Kami walks up to North. Being an experienced warrior, North would realize that his chances of defeating both Paladins and Kami were infinitesimal, even with the backup of his allies. They had taken too much damage already, and their opponents were well stocked and well rested. To attack now would be folly. [I believe that I may be able to strike a deal with you. Of course, this isn't the kind where you get a choice. More troops are on their way to this location already, and your men are badly damaged.] He gestures to the assortment of figures behind North. [You wish to preserve their safety. I can tell. As such, I believe this situation is best solved with diplomacy, do you not?]
@Youmu

ALL of them.

Standard vamps are as follows. Magical, biologically dead. Weak to holy water, crosses, etc. But not to sunlight or garlic, and can enter any house without permission. Super strength and speed, longevity. Killed by decapitation, staking, or fire. Capable of rapid regeneration, needs blood. Grow more powerful with age.

However, we're going with a bloodlines idea. Different bloodlines have different abilities. The standard bloodline is Draculan, but Gabriel for example has his own bloodline with highly psychic vamps, most of which have little trouble with crosses (but an unknown weakness to something else).

The Pale Lady has a bloodline of vamps that have control over the vamps they sire, and become vastly more powerful at night than they are in the day. They're also linked to water, and can use it for various abilities.

Lady Mo had a line of ancient Mayan vampires, who were weak to wood from certain holy trees. However, they were able to transform and were strongly linked to nature.

You're free to make up your own Bloodline, including the Sire King that leads it (a vampire that has spawned a bloodline). Abilities can get quite diverse even within the bloodlines. For example Mithias, from Gabriel's bloodline, didn't inherit his father's psychic powers, but rather became completely immune to all psychic powers instead.
I'm thinking of rebooting HCL. Or rather, I'm planning on creating a new thread which will be based on the same concept, ditching the incredibly long story of HCL. Why? Because it's grown so long, convoluted and complex that I simply can't keep track of what's happening anymore. In addition to the extra timelines, we have a large number of characters that spend most of their time chilling on the sidelines, despite their supposed importance. The multiverse is a dull place with no landmarks besides the houses of particular characters, the entire dimension-travelling element has lost all of it's charm.

Of course, whether people choose to join or not is up to them. Personally, I think it's the best thing for HCL right now. But hey, I'm not the boss of you.

Gabriel smiled, his smile only growing brighter as the glass shattered to pieces. "Oh my boy. So young, so naive." He waves his hand, and to Hank, the wall would transform into a map. It started as a map of the world, before zooming in on America. And yet somehow it managed to be a depiction of both at the same time. "We did all we could. Vampires were never welcome in public. And mind control is to be used sparingly, for there is nothing humans fear more than the deprivation of their free will. Should your grip slip, or should another notice, they would mobilise their entire army to hunt you down." Images floated past of vampires attempting to infiltrate SOLDIER. Several were in high positions, influencing the decisions of the leading members. And several were killed. "We forced a divide between SOLDIER and the Purge. When the Council first attacked, they broke down all communications. They destroyed the main power generators to spread fear, they annihilated a large number of SOLDIER outposts before the war even started in earnest. It was a good plan, executed almost flawlessly. The humans were panicked, surrounded, and millions were slaughtered."

"You ask how we lost the war. But you should already know. In part it was the Purge, SOLDIER's more effective counterpart. However, there was something far more deadly. For in our attack, we gave them an enemy. We presented a target, and they united against us. They came at us not with hundreds, not with thousands, but with millions. Hundreds of tanks rolled through the cities, entire areas were bombed to pieces to obliterate the vampire presence. It was a World War, but we were the only targets. Have you ever seen ten thousand men march in unison? Have you ever seen an army of vampires drop like flies, hit by so many bullets they were reduced to a red mist?"

Gabriel's map seemed to change. Hundreds of arrows, as the room seems to shake with the stamping of boots. Purge and SOLDIER united, USA and UN soldiers marching through Asia. An army of vampires charged a city, only to meet a hail of bombs. Hank suddenly realized the overwhelming advantage humanity held. There were a thousand humans for every vampire, a hundred million for every Oldblood. And now, their numbers had dwindled even further. Only a few million vampires remained on the planet, less than a tenth of the previous number. It had been a slaughter.

"Of course, we'll change everything this time. Magnus was a fool, as was Lady Mo. Both were mere warriors, charging into a battle they knew not how to win." Gabriel smiles, looking off into the distance. The illusion shimmered and disappeared, as he seemed to lose himself in thought. Then he snapped back to reality. "I have plans to make, and people to meet. You and Mithias are free to stay here as long as you wish. Of course, if you wish to join my efforts, then you must have more than mere strength." He winks at Hank, as Mithias has left the room. "Play along. Be an actor. The poor boy has the sensibilities of a human, ever the noble knight. However, there is a human organization I'm sure you could join. Freelance will allow vampire presences in their midst. Join their ranks, and betray them when the time comes."

He turns away, and Hank realizes he never really moved his mouth. The words he had spoken were a mental message, not meant for Mithias' ears. Nobody would know what was said between them that day. He spoke in his voice, before leaving. "There's an old friend of mine down at the hotel. You might want to go meet him. He's a real cheerful fellow, but make sure you crack the first joke. Breaks the ice, and he's a bit shy."
Do recall that they were dragged to said base in chains after many among their number were slaughtered, and SOLDIER had temporarily allied with Magnus to defeat Kami. The Purge would easily be able to pass of their actions as necessary, or in self defence. Especially with the current hatred for vampires.
