Mm. Father's current body is based entirely on his soul, rather than any genetic makeup. Normally, a soul is in some part based on the body, but for him his body is entirely off of his soul and spirit. And even then it's slightly different than it would otherwise be due to how he formed it.

He wasn't born with them, he acquired them and when he gained a different body they became genetic for him.

Correct. Father at the time had powerful eyes, so passing something similar on would make sense genetically. For us, that's not the case.

I don't know. None of our elder siblings had the same abilities, but it made much more sense for them to have them at all than it does for us.
