Bio

After a period of different distractions in both my work and private life I am back! Hoping to throw myself back into RP and to help create some wonderful and memorable tales.

I am a dedicated and reliable RPer with a fondness for sci-fi, character study, fantasy and intrigue. I generally go for RPs that are in the casual to advanced ranges and have no problem posting a paragraph or two. I am easy to write with and am not precious about making edits or changes to a post to accommodate others. I don't have a preference as far as writing for a particular gender/sexuality/morality goes but I generally find writing child characters quite difficult.

I do my best to be available to post at most times but work nights for extended shifts so have to work around that. I won't abandon a story though and am usually very punctual at replying to messages so feel free to get in touch!

As long as we're all clear that Reed is still top dog.

Because he is.

"Rich guys showing off their toys."

"Iron Man uses his armour to hide his identity."

Etc.

And I was really liking him for what he had to say about Supes, too.

That moment when in chapel at your Christian school the teacher talks about justice and absolutely nails Superman's essence while simultaneously getting Batman and Iron Man's so completely and utterly wrong.

Gah.

Now I'm curious, what did they say about Batman and Iron Man?
@Eddie Brock I get where you're coming from but I think it was unrealistic to expect it never to come up in the narrative. It's like in doctor Who, if/when the doctor regenerates into a woman...gender is gonna get brought up. I dunno, it never became noticeable enough to me to actually distract me from the story I was reading.

@Morden Man I'll have to give it a look sometime. I do disagree that BMB gave everyone the same voice though, I think his characterisation was a bit subtler given that a lot of the team came from street-level Marvel at the start but I never had a problem figuring out who was who. I can't speak for the riding over other people's work as I can't say for definite what was him and what was editorially mandated either way.
@Sep The Planet Hulk movie isn't a patch on the comic. You'll think it is and then the comic will just suck you in and throw you out on the other side. Great run for Hulk.

@Eddie Brock Meh, I didn't mind the reveal. I was just enjoying the story as it unfolded.

@Morden Man I didn't really mind Bendis on Avengers, Disassembled to Siege was my prime era as a reader of that range and he brought a consistency to the Avengers that just wasn't there before and hasn't been there since. I don't think he should have necessarily gone on to do the other books, especially the X-Men one but I think he's

See. I'd ask what Hulk that is to purchase it, though I'm poor right now as my job is ending and I need to save up for my trip to America in the summer.

LOOK AT THAT MA! SELF RESTRAINT!

I know the feeling mate, I think it was just called 'Hulk'? Give it a look, 2014 release I think :)
I'm still getting through Jason Aaron's UNKNOWN FEMALE CHARACTER Thor run, spoilers thanks (joke, I knew), but I absolutely loved his run on Wolverine and then Wolverine and the X-Men, my absolute favourite take on the character. He also did one of my favourite takes on the Hulk with Banner as the villain and everything from the Hulk's perspective. I'm giving his Doctor Strange a go now.
My favourite writers right now are Charles Soule and Jason Aaron, both at Marvel right now which kinda says it all! Oh, and Grant Morrison.
But then you look at characters like the new Ms Marvel and there is no way you can call it a rehash.
I mean, it's ironic, the Dark knight Returns has such a mythical status because at the time it was a story that would never be told in a comic and continued Batman's story in a way that no one would have seen coming. But now we can't get away from it because people have such a problem with change.
