That would be fine @Klomster, and you may post it in the IC any time you want, at which point I will detract one of your dice and post the entry in the OOC.
That's quite a bit of information there, but it shows me how dedicated you are to this RP.

This would be my first Advanced Role Play as well. I'm not saying I'm ready for it, but I am saying I'd like to give it a shot. Who knows, maybe I belong here, maybe not.

If you'll have me.
@Murtox: Well keep in mind you won't necessarily be representing any one faction. None of these factions particularly belong to anyone, even if you created them.

@MouseKing: I'll add you to the list.
Alright @Klomster, and I'm glad someone actually wanted to make some traders.

@Xenonia: A god at the power of 5 and a tribe at the power of 2 requires 4 dice, so you'll have 4d6 left.

Note: I'll wait till I see the official posts for each entry in the IC before I subtract dice from the player names in the original post.

So then you don’t like the traditional fantasy setting, correct? But there’s so much more there, so many unique enemies and environments. How far did you get?

I wouldn't classify it as a setting, rather the inspiration from which the game designers are drawing from.

In Dark Souls 2, I got to this part. Whether that's considered far or not doesn't matter, I saw enough of the game.

On a good note, however, I enjoyed the near-intimate knowledge of the game required to play it. Some of the mystery involved in specific items, correct strategies to fight specific enemies, and the forced cautious-like approach to the gameplay made it something new and exciting to play.

I'm not sure if this is a good way to explain it, but when I play racing games I only like playing street racing games. Games where you're on some closed circuit at some official race track never really interested me, despite the two having exact controls and gameplay.
@Jozarin: A city would probably be listed under factions. Like the city of Troy; I would classify that as a faction. A landmark would be like a volcano, or a mine, or mountain, or canyon - something like that.

I'm thinking of having an option where, instead of conflicts, one can initiate a 'bond' on their turn. You can only bond two factions together as long as they have no other bonds. Bonds basically allow them to work together during future conflicts, and no one can make them fight each other.

@ulsterwarrior and @Xenonia: You guys got 8d6 then. You may make a faction or few.

EDIT: The idea of a bond is like if someone made Achilles, and someone made the Greeks. By bonding them, the Greeks would always offer their Power Rating to Achilles when Achilles enters a conflict, a vise versa. Achilles and the Greeks, however, can never enter a conflict against each other. But since a faction can only be bonded to one group at a time, if someone made Hercules, he could NOT be bonded to either Achilles or the Greeks until one of those two are removed from play.

EDIT2: Also, I forgot to say, make sure you label your IC posts. For more information, read the 'Special Note' messages in the original post.

Assuming this is successful, I'd like to try a western-themed one. Rather than a blanks late, it'd be a wide open frontier. You could make legendary outlaws, gunslingers, bandit groups, armies, towns, and folklore as the factions.
Yeah, as long as you have some dice left, you can make as many factions as you want.

And your trader group is absolutely fine. You can write a description or some sort of short-story about them and I will write it into the OOC.
The Island

Sunlight slowly peeks over the horizon. Rising up from the distant waters, the shining sun casts its rays of light over ocean and land alike. It has been this way for millennia, keeping its blinding glare focused on the world, casting shadows and turning night into day.

But today the sun turned its attention to a very specific spit of land, known as the Island.. What this Island would become, how large it would become, who would live here, what would occur upon it, was yet to be seen. Isolated from the other lands, and unaffected by other worldly events, the Island stood in its place - lonely, but willing to sprout its stories.

Tribal folk would dance upon its earthen claims. Kingdoms would rise and fall, giving way to powerful empires and nations. Great heroes would live on through song and legends. Gods and goddesses would find themselves in the heart of the people, whether through benevolence or through fear.

But the Island was ready. Ready to sing its stories to the stars once the sun retreated back below the horizon...
Also, just so you're aware @Klomster, @Jozarin, and @Inlaa, I added you guys to the player list. I'll get to work on a quick IC (not much I can do in one) and if you guys wants to spend a power point (or two, or three), you can go ahead and make some factions.

EDIT: IC up. A quick one, but it gets the job done. My first post isn't that important anyway.

The setting and characters are rather interesting BUT they're introduced in a totally unique way. Like.... there are no books, movies, plays, or whatever capable of telling a story the way the Souls series does. The lore is like crazy deep and you don't get to experience any of it unless you dig way deep. It's there -- but you have to work for it.

It's great. Instead of having an NPC stand outside Blighttown and tell you "Hey, watch out, the villagers all left because this area has PLAGUE and it's a bleak situation!" It just kicks you into Blighttown and you fucking learn. Want to know what's up with those giant spider-lady hybrids? Hope you brought your sleuthing hat. It's so cool.

I'm not talking about that.

Play a game made by a western developer, then play a game made by eastern developers. They're different, right?

Wherever that get their inspirations from, visualizations, and concepts, I'm simply not a fan of.
