Arc name: Accidentally killing his parents 
Arc bio: During his early teens when Joe first started discovering his power his parents got into an argument which got violent quickly. Trying to break up the dispute Joe sent out a shock wave of electricity towards both of his parents causing both of their hearts to stop in an instant.  
Power or ability: The ability to absorb and control electricity from any source of power  
Personality: Joe is warm and gentle around those he trusts however when in battle he becomes fierce and determined. He's relatively shy but opens up from time to time.
Bio: Joe was raised in Metropolis and life was fairly normal until he started noticing that he could harness the electricity from power sources and redirect it out as bolt of electricity. He first learnt of this ability at the age of 10 whilst playing his game console, as he made contact with the TV to turn up the volume he felt a jolt of electricity and then all of the lights went out in the house. As he went to flip the light switch electricity shot out of his fingers frying the switch but also turning the electricity back on. He kept this to himself for four year until the event of his parents death caused by none other then himself while trying to break up a dispute they were having. After their death Joe was sent to an orphanage where he spent his time harnessing his power until he had complete control over it. Obviously being a child Joe didn't take into account that people might see him practicing, the person that actually observed him practice was a tall man in a red outfit with a lightning bolt across his chest and a white cape on his back. The man approached Joe and revealed himself as the hero Shazam and he added that he had spotted Joe practicing as he flew over. Shazam offered to train Joe to help better his understanding of his power even more so. after a few years training with Shazam in secrecy Joe was offered the chance to join a group of new superheroes named New Young Justice which he took without giving a second thought. From then on he took the alias The Tesla as to conceal his identity like all superheroes.
