Responsibility belongs not to the name stenciled on the mantel, but to the one who carries the mantle.

Isa : Anisim Misolav

He considered them all very carefully, noting the apparent preference of the other's for bladed instruments. Isa walked carefully around the room, and picked up an lmg, notorious for being easily jammed and difficult to maintain, and took it to a bench where he examined the gun and checked it's firing mechanism for faults. Confident it would at least get off one round before jamming, he took it to the range, and laid prone setting the gun's bipod up and pulling the stock to his shoulder, he sighted down range, and fired the paint bearing "bullets" with decent accuracy for an lmg.

It jammed on the third burst, and Isa moved quickly, clearing the chamber and checking the feed, before resuming fire, seven bursts later it jammed again. This time it took a partial disassembling of the gun to clear the jam, still Isa had it working again in record time. He continued through five boxes of ammo, clearing and occasionally cleaning, the gun rapidly and efficiently each time it became necessary. His accuracy was good, but nothing out of the ordinary either, his greatest skill was being able to maintain his weapons in the harshest environments. Isa stood, and cleaned the weapon a final time, before returning it to its place and joining Roxy again, to see what she had picked up.

Isa : Anisim Misolav

Isa walked slowly out of the room, heading to the firing range. This would be the fun part of the day, for him, as there wasn't a gun on earth that he couldn't use. Though he certainly preferred the rugged designs over most others, finding their reliability indispensable in most combat situations. He'd be quite thrilled to teach Roxy, or the others, how to use and maintain their firearms. It was one of the few things he remembered learning from his father, before they moved to America, the land of potential, of promise, of wealth and rewards. Things Isa had been denied time and again, and now was offered only twisted versions of them. He resolved to do what he had to do to get out and make it into the world again, even if his sisters never accepted him again, even if they were already dead, he had to know for sure.

"Someone's going to have to clue me in on the reference, but let's do it on the go please."

Cin set out at steady jog, moving south and kiting enemies as he went, knocking them into the red with Tsu before moving on to the next mob leaving Kip to mop up the remains. This worked well in the southern regions were the mobs were relatively weak, but Cin soon grew bored with the easy pace, and began kiting more aggressively, engaging as many mobs as possible, before turning to fight them all at once. With Tsu and Kip helping it wasn't really all that dangerous, with the mobs all being just level threes, but Cin didn't have the skills or gear necessary to mitigate all of the damage sent his way, and his health fell a little farther each time. Eventually it dropped down to the red, but Cin didn't seem to care, moving on to the next group of mobs apparently ignoring the danger to himself. In fact, he was testing an idea. most games had way of rewarding especially risky players, and Cin wondered if this strange game did that too, since the risk was actually that much greater. He hoped so, but he had no idea what reward he might get from it. He was very careful to kite only enough to keep his health in the red, but not enough to push it past just inside the red zone.
Eros had survived with several small cuts on his arms and a shallow gash on his right cheek, but now he was exhausted. Fatigue pulled at him as he stumbled back into the ruins to collect his horse. He hoped he was up for the ride to come, but knew he'd just have to make do as best he could, orders were orders, and the Rangers would likely vanish again as soon as they had finished their work here, so he had to get back to Bree with the others or be left to fend for himself. Mabeline, his mare, snorted and shied from the smell of blood and death on him, but Eros calmed the mare with a few soft words and managed to mount her without embarrassing himself, despite his weariness. He nudged Mabeline into a trot out to where Raven waited, where he pulled up and took stock of his situation. He had his spear, strapped to his back at the moment, next to his bow, and still full quiver, having been delegated to the front line work, he'd had no chance to empty it into the orc ranks. Judging how things had gone, he wondered now how useful his arrows would have been against their thick armor. His skill was no match for those of the elven archers, and he was worried for the elven lass, now slumping in the saddle before Raven. Eros mumbled a few lines, as they tumbled through his head. He wasn't the most cheerful of fellows on good day, this day left him quite drained of good cheer.

"Blood and souls of elves and men, spilled and soiled in the light of day, by shadows that haunt them still. May they pass in peace to yonder town or western shores, as their heart will. May fortunes and favor be lent to those whose sorrows grow to lessen woes."
I have caught a nasty bug and just when I'll be having to focus on moving my family to another city... The next few weeks are going to include very little of me. I'll get on if I can but I can't promise anything.

I hope you're feeling better soon and that the move goes well, and has no complications.

"Yes, let's."

Cin said with enthusiasm as he stood, and leaving enough to cover the breakfast for both of them on the table headed for the front door. He moved quickly through town, and out the gate. Cin equipped his Halberd as soon he was outside the town, and began engaging mobs along the way, practicing his heavy attacks, and letting Kip finish the mobs so she'd get experience too. Soon the two reached Tsu as he finished a mob himself.

"Tsu! I see you decided to follow me in my choice to take up a two handed weapon." I call out as we approach, grinning as I tease hoping to avoid reminding Tsu of why he had to switch weapons. As we get closer I make introductions, and offer a plan for the day. "Kip, I'd like you to meet Tsu. We met pretty early in the game and seem to work particularly well together. Tsu, this is Kip, I met her at breakfast this morning. Most of the good players will be moving north, to farm bigger threats, but it might be easier for us to farm the southern portion of the first level, as there will be less competition to share the experience with. We could move east along the southern wall, and then circle back to town for supper as the sun goes down. What do you two think?" I keep an eye out for wandering players, aware that not everyone is willing to play nice and not take advantage of others, but trusting that my two companions won't cheat me.

Isa : Anisim Misolav

Isa said nothing in reply. He did however give her words serious consideration. He couldn't afford to die here, even if it meant parroting to Vlad for a time. That would grate on him, but Isa made a vault in himself, deep within, to hold the emotions Vlad inspired. They would be held until he was free to act as he saw fit. Isa only hoped they didn't overflow the vault and influence his performance. Setting himself to face the inevitable, Isa turned to face Vlad, standing shoulder to shoulder with Roxy, and waited for further instructions.

It took me some time to figure things out too, pop into the chat if you can't find what you're looking for, there's usually a, mostly, helpful crowd in there. I personally have a huge preference for historical fiction, from ancient to medieval times, but will gladly write most anything, as I'm here more for the fellow writers and testing my limits than writing comfortably. :) I tend to write to the level of those I'm writing with, from a single paragraph to over five paragraphs, it really depends on those I'm writing with, and how much energy I have... post size drops dramatically as I loose energy.

"It's a pitty your world revolves around Vlad, you might have been free by now otherwise."

Isa wished this girl would stop being so terrifically pliant and dense. She might not like Vlad, but her complete compliance was starting to get annoying. Maybe it'd earn a perfect score from Vlad, but it wasn't anything to be proud of in his eyes. And since when was submitting an oral resume bragging? Bragging had always meant an exaggeration of a persons worth and/or skill in their own eyes, to Isa. He sighed as he continued to wonder around the gym, hoping to find inspiration somewhere along the way.
