Responsibility belongs not to the name stenciled on the mantel, but to the one who carries the mantle.

Okay, I'll give the brat full marks for persistence, but she hasn't got much else going for her right now. I ignore her latest antics with some difficulty, blowing smoke up into the cavernous warehouse. I decided to finish the Cigar before getting back in, and to take my time finishing it. I wave Anya over to me, wondering how in the world I was going to deal with this crap, and knowing that given my current state it'd be the wrong way if I didn't get a more level headed point of view on the whole thing.

"Anya, do me a favor would you and remind me why I'm not dumping this girl and the damned business card in the lake tonight."

Bob chuckled mirthlessly at Alex's choice of words, it was cracked up all right, and probably on crack to boot. Bob wondered if most societies were like they were because the Society was so cracked up... He wouldn't be surprised if that were so, but he also didn't have a clue as to how one might go about proving that, so he tossed the thought aside and shrugged it off. Right now he wanted ... Well, to be honest he didn't really know what he wanted, but he was pretty sure it wasn't what ever the Society had planned for him. He continued to stare at the floor in the middle of the arrayed chairs, vaguely watching the others with his peripheral vision.

@KatherinWinter Hey, unless you need me to post, I'll wait for Sean to give us a mission before I post again, since Isa will just be laying in the creek like he has been the last two posts.
Okay, thanks for letting me know. :)
@bobert778@lavulman Are you two still with us? I hope so.

The familiar scents of Luci, Blue and the less familiar scents of guards, and one other scent reaches me as I lay quietly in the slowly moving water. My tail twitches under the water, barely causing ripples on the surface of the water. That new scent intrigued me, almost enough to get out of the water and see who and what it was, almost. Blue smelled stressed out, which meant that Roxy was probably in trouble again... a hypothesis supported by the absence of her usual scent in the room. Next time, Vlad will die... I duck my head under water for a moment to wash away the rage building in me, and it sort of helps, as water gets in my nose, and I sneeze rather loudly several times to get it all out. Well, so much for going unnoticed by everyone, still they'd probably already known I was in the room and would have been wasting time looking for me if I hadn't sneezed, so at least that's out of the way. Now all we have to do is figure out if the new guys tastes any better than Vlad does. I lay still, waiting to see what this new fellow had in mind for the day's activities.
