Responsibility belongs not to the name stenciled on the mantel, but to the one who carries the mantle.

@KatherinWinter That's fine, but Isa gets bored easy, and his performance rapidly drops in direct proportion with interest level. His antics with the guards prove he has some skill and besides, trial by fire is so much more fun than being pampered, especially for kids that are supposed to become warriors. (imho)
Sorry guys, I've had a crummy week to say the least, I'll try to get a post up later tonight.

Isa : Anisim Misolav

"His loss, He's wasting her potential after expecting it mature over night. But that's his problem. Are you ever going to hand out the folders? It's not like we've got anything else to do so what's the hold up?"

Isa really hoped the man didn't have a thing for hearing his own pathetic voice. Ideally, he'd have labeled the folders with their names and had them waiting on the table to be read over breakfast so that they could all start as soon as they were done with breakfast instead of having to listen to him for hours on end about things they might eventually get to do if they didn't die of old age or boredom first. Still, he seemed to have better grasp of how to train them, or at least challenge them. Isa wondered if part of the reason for the team failures hadn't been that the challenges were to straightforward and simple, there weren't any complex puzzles or problems to work out. Sure finding Roxy had been annoying, but even that was merely a giant game of fetch. Pity Vlad or Sean hadn't thought to give them a more worthwhile or at the very least engaging task in team round. At least now Isa wouldn't have to risk getting thwarted by Luci again, and that was a big plus.

Isa waited for Sean to announce today's challenges for each of them, wondering what it was Vlad hadn't learned about them already. Sure the team hadn't been obedient, but we had worked together quite well in our mayhem. The guards were still nervous around Isa and Luci in particular. Isa wasn't sure where Blue had gone... And he wondered why she had vanished but the last few times he'd tried to find out his questions had all been ignored, so that was likely to be a new challenge at some point. Vlad and Sean seemed unreasonably obsessed with torturing Roxy, which made Isa glad, for the first time, that his sisters weren't with him. He glanced at Savannah wondering how long she would last before she too vanished.

What was left of his conscience nagged at him, telling him he should care, these girls were someone else's sisters and daughters, they should be cared for too. But they hadn't been through what he and his sisters had, they weren't his family, let their own families care for them, his twisted reason argued back. His internal conflict was interrupted by Savannah's question, and the answer made the whole argument mute, at least for the time being, and so he put it aside, and focused again on what was being expected of him.

@KatherinWinter
Argh I just stumbled across this RP, and I'm interested in joining, and then I realized it's too late.. I'll just follow along and read the whole thing :)

Hey! As Z said, it's never to late to join here, and don't worry our activity varies from writer to writer. I hope to see a CS from you soon!
Day 16, Midnight
Edgar_Walther
@BlackPanther

Edgar stood in silent contemplation of the two guards. They seemed, on the face of it to be very similar to the opponents they'd faced all day long, with obvious weak points at the neck, lower legs, and under the arms, though it would certainly be more difficult to hit these weak spots as the guards like most kobolds were known to be agile opponents, and it was night so they weren't likely to be taken by surprise... Edgar mulled over Reaper's words with only a grunt in response. They'd need more than brute strength and raw damage to come out of this one intact.

"Can ye or yer pup stun either of 'em? If'n ye can, that'd lower chances of fightin' the whole bloomin' mine at once. Though, even if it came to that, the gate would serve us well in limiting their ability to get to us effectively. Still, I'd rather not be fightin' clear till dawn if'n it's all the same to ye."

With a flick of my wrist the familiar menu pops up, and I begin searching my inventory looking for a way to gain the advantage in this fight. There really wasn't much to be seen honestly... unless, could they be baited? Would they leave their post for an easy meal? Hmm, first I'll need to eat myself, if only for the minor stat boosts. I consume a tasty trail ration, a cup of coffee, and a bowl of stew, gaining slight bonuses to health regen, stamina and resistance to dazes and stuns, and a substantial boost to agility respectively. These wouldn't last more than a half an hour or so, but until then they should prove quite useful. I turn to reaper belatedly, wondering if he'd need or want any food since this was my venture...
@PyroDash888 Your friend KabenSaal has been waiting rather patiently for your return, and barring that you can keep shop in Bull's Run, at least one person is selling right now IC and Edgar(me) will be back in town within a handful of posts to sell/trade some uncommon metals.
@Lightbox .... right, ummm... oops

Fixed it, thanks for pointing that out.
@Chicogal I think I'll have him sleep through the rest of the day and night. He'll wake up tomorrow morning. We can skip ahead to then if you like.
