There's a panhandler who hangs out on the street corner by our dispensary every afternoon with a sign that just says "Green 4 Green?" and tbh, I respect my boy's confidence.

Name: Taylor
Pronouns: They/them
Age: Mid 20s
Relationship: Married (happily, I might add)
Time Zone: Arizona (we hate daylight savings, so it's MST year-round)
Writing History: I've been on a number of different roleplaying websites for over a decade and a half
Hobbies: Writing, fitness, driving/exploring, hiking, camping, traveling, tabletop games, anything NEW (I love trying things I've never done before)
Roleplayer Profile

Format: 1x1s only. Maybe I'll try a group RP again someday, but I've never had one last longer than a few months
Posting Speed: Depending on my schedule, I can usually post at least once per week
Favorite Genres: Modern, Historical, Romance, Action/Adventure, Horror/Dark, Fantasy, Slice of Life, Dystopian, can be convinced to write some Sci-Fi
Hard 'no's: Fandoms. Sorry, but I can't maintain interest in characters/worlds I didn't build with my partner
Template: Public threads or PMs. I prefer to keep all my RPs in one place, so no emails or G-docs or the like
Rating: Comfortable with 18+ content, but it's not a necessity and I prefer not to center a plot around explicit scenes
Level: Advanced. Will consistently provide around 400-700 words per post, but can occasionally leap to 2000+
Character preference: One main character, but large side casts are greatly enjoyed. Because I write long posts, I prefer not to double
Gender preference: Male. You'll be hard pressed to convince me to play a female that isn't a background character. It's just not my forte
Romantic Relationships: MxF or MxM (currently prefer MxM)
Character Images: Faceclaims or detailed descriptions only. I envision the characters like real people in my mind, so I can't take anime seriously
OOC chat: Yes please! I'm a total extrovert who loves to get to know the amazing minds behind my partners' characters

If you do have a wedding if/when you get married, go small xD
We had a huge one and it was super stressful trying to put everything together (part of the reason why I couldn't RP)
Very fun on the day of, but if I went back in time to do it again, I'd probably elope or go a LOT smaller ^^;

Yeah, I'm going into my third year now, and I have to take my major's junior writing course in the fall (not excited) so I'm gonna be insanely busy
I only have one in-person class every day though, so maybe I'll get lucky and have some time this year

We went to Florida~
Disney World for 3 days, and then stayed at a bed and breakfast in St Augustine for the rest ^^

Sorry to hear that you've had so much personal trouble, but it's not too bad to be a semester behind
Are you going to community college or uni?
She managed to get his biggest secret out of him x3
Low key had that name saved for 3 years lol
Crow laughed softly when Penelope said she was the light at the end of the tunnel for him. “You most certainly were,” he grinned, giving her hand another squeeze. “And a bright one, at that.” His pulse jumped slightly as another wave of joy hit him at the thought of her being his. He felt so lucky to be with her; he would have kissed her again if they weren’t trying to cover ground quickly.

As Penelope began to tell him more about her mother, he grew quiet and listened. He found it sad that she only knew about her mother from someone who didn’t like the woman. She must have been an incredible person to have won over Penelope’s father so completely that he had abandoned his life as a nobleman to be with her.

He wondered if Penelope had ever thought about doing the same for him. They both avoided bringing up the subject of the future since everything was so complicated, but he couldn’t help being curious. After all, it was impossible for him to be a noble like her. Sure, his father was an ambassador, but the man had never reached out to Crow before and, frankly, Crow didn’t know if he wanted him to try. He had fallen for Penelope, but he still despised other nobles and their way of life. He couldn’t imagine trying to adopt their ways.

If Penelope is willing to give up everything she knows for me, I should be willing to do the same for her, he thought, although he doubted they would ever be in a situation where that would be possible for him. Even if his father somehow tried to un-disown him, the king still despised him. He would never allow a thief in his royal courts.

Crow glanced at Penelope as she became quiet. When she met his gaze again, her expression was different than before—curious, but also slightly nervous. He eyed her inquisitively, wondering what she was so apprehensive to ask him.

After a moment, she finally spoke, “Crow, what is your real name? Y-You don’t have to answer… You can tell me something else if you prefer… I was just curious.”

He blinked, caught off guard by the question. It had been so long ago that he had forgotten about mentioning to her that the name ‘Crow’ was an alias. He shook his head and sighed, “No, I told you I was going to be honest. Besides,” he smiled at her affectionately. “You deserve to know the name of the man you said you love.”

Crow shifted his weight slightly and averted his gaze as they walked. It had been almost a decade since he had last heard anyone use his real name. In fact, he doubted anyone who was still alive knew it besides himself. Someone else should know, he resolved, slowing to a stop.

He met Penelope’s gaze once more, taking a steeling breath before finally replying: “My real name is Collin… Collin Lockton.”
It was amazing! Thanks for asking ^^ Our photographer sent back over 500 pictures, which I'm obsessed with right now
Speaking of busy, we actually just got back from our honeymoon yesterday lol
We're staying with my mom until tomorrow for an extra mini vacation

Dang, that's pretty impressive
I'm usually only active during the summer and winter because of school, with some intermittent activity during the semesters. It's a struggle.
Hope everything is going well for you now!

Glad to hear it! I can't wait to pick this back up :D
@QueenSei Hey, long time no see ^^
So so sorry about dropping out unexpectedly!
Life was just too busy at the time for me to keep writing, even though I really wanted to

How have you been?
I'm down to continue this RP with you if you're still interested! I just need to reread what we've done so far if we do pick it up
Sorry that one took a while. I was playing scrabble with my fam cx
“Despite common belief, I do have a serious side,” Crow rolled his eyes when Penelope said she was surprised he didn’t relax first. “I just prefer not to use it much.” He lapsed into silence as she started telling him about her life before their mission. Some of the details he had already heard, but much of her story was new. He found it interesting that she had been a palace guard for the Brerratic king and wondered if she might have some knowledge that could help them in the raid of the Younisian castle. He made a mental note to ask her more about that as they got closer.

“I think I heard about that thief too,” Crow nodded sagely. “But I’d say he was more daring than crazy. I also heard he was quite the looker.” He winked at her wryly.

As Penelope finished recounting how she and the other two knights had been chosen to guard him in Younis, he crossed his arms, “I suppose I owe William a debt of gratitude. If he hadn’t recommended you to the king, we never would have met.”

He paused to think when Penelope asked him about his life before prison, “I’ve told you a bit about when I was young, but I don’t think I’ve told you anything about my more recent past, have I?” he glanced at her in amusement. “I’m originally from a village called Myrefall. It’s actually not too far from the place we stayed right before we crossed into Younis. However, I consider the outer villages as a whole to be my home because I’ve lived in so many of them over the years.

“As I’ve told you before, I’ve always been a thief—it’s the only way of life my mother taught me—but my reputation really started after the incident with the crows. I think it was because the local knights realized all of the robberies in the village were being done by the same person, rather than by a few different people as they had previously thought.

“I have a lot of good stories from that time, but it was mostly all the same. I stole to survive, to put the knights in their place, and to help the other villagers. I also went on large raids to spread my name to the inner parts of the kingdom, where my father lives. I may be a thief because I was born into this life, but I use what I know for a lot of different purposes.” He shrugged.

“I got more ambitious within the last three years before I was caught. Before, I only robbed nobles in the inner kingdom about once or twice per season at the very most. Four years ago, however, I decided I wanted to do more. I knew I had the skills to get away with it, so I started raiding dukes, barons, lords, vassals, anyone whose name carried weight in Brerra. I’ve even gotten away with a few small heists in the king’s palace, though you might already know about those.” He smirked. “I took weapons from the vault you palace guards used—usually the quivers of the archers, but sometimes swords or other blades too.

“Those difficult raids gave me invaluable experience. I know a lot of… unorthodox methods to stealing that most thieves would never even consider using. That’s why knights from Brerra have had such a hard time trying to catch me. Traps that work against regular thieves won’t do anything to me.” His smile faltered. “Unfortunately, my constant success made me a little too cocky. I’ve heard it said that a criminal will always make a mistake if given enough time. I guess I just thought that didn’t apply to me.

“It was my own fault for getting arrested when I tried to steal the king’s crown. The night before I left for my carefully planned raid, I visited a tavern in a small town just outside of the inner kingdom. I was confident that I would get away with it, so I ran my mouth a little too much. I told everyone when I would be stealing the crown, and I didn’t realize that one of the king’s informants was among the audience. He told the king, who prepared the palace guards to stop me when I made my attempt, and that was that,” he shrugged.

“I’m glad I got caught now though,” Crow’s smile returned as he met Penelope’s gaze. “Prison was awful, but it was worth it to meet you.” He paused, thinking of another question to ask her now that he had answered hers. “You said your mother was a peasant, right? Do you know anything else about her?”
I agree. I have some plans for trouble on Crow’s end too
Yeah, William can’t hate Crow forever, especially when he keeps saving his sorry ass xD
“And William,” Crow teased, recounting the time he had fought with the short-tempered knight as Penelope listed all of the troubles they had overcome thus far. Looking back on it all, he felt a bit disconcerted though. It was strange how many times they had been attacked within the walls of Brerra. He couldn’t help but wonder if there was something else going on that they were missing. There was so much fuss over one mission. Even if it was to stop a war, he was surprised at the amount of backlash they had faced from people of their own kingdom. Why were so many people trying to stop them?

He looked up as Penelope went on to point out that they had some time left before they reached the castle. The new optimism on her face made him smile. Maybe she was right. Maybe they were worrying too much about something they couldn’t plan out yet. “I never thought I’d see you put play before work like this,” he gibed, nudging her blithely.

He looked at the horizon ahead of them. Even though they were in a wealthy area of Younis, the castle wasn’t yet visible in the distance. By that, he guessed they probably had at least three more days before they would reach it—plenty of time to spend doing anything besides trembling over the upcoming palace raid.

“You know,” Crow turned back to her with a grin. “It’s been a while since we’ve played my old game—the one where we exchange stories about ourselves. I’d like to learn a little more about you, if you’re willing to tell me. What was Penelope like before I met her?” He leaned in closer, lowering his voice. “I promise I’ll answer you more fairly now. No more vague replies or tricks.”
I’m honestly good with whatever you want to do for that part ^^
Splitting them up will give us both a little bit of creative license, and it gives us some options to bring the other characters back if we want to
Although, if Abraxas dies, I could use that a while from now (after the time skip) to set up an interaction between Crow and his father, since Abraxas was going to succeed him as the king’s ambassador.
Either way though, you can do whatever you want and I’ll work with it :)
