There's a panhandler who hangs out on the street corner by our dispensary every afternoon with a sign that just says "Green 4 Green?" and tbh, I respect my boy's confidence.

Personal Profile

Name: Taylor
Pronouns: They/them
Age: Mid 20s
Relationship: Married (happily, I might add)
Time Zone: Arizona (we hate daylight savings, so it's MST year-round)
Writing History: I've been on a number of different roleplaying websites for over a decade and a half
Hobbies: Writing, fitness, driving/exploring, hiking, camping, traveling, tabletop games, anything NEW (I love trying things I've never done before)
Roleplayer Profile

Format: 1x1s only. Maybe I'll try a group RP again someday, but I've never had one last longer than a few months
Posting Speed: Depending on my schedule, I can usually post at least once per week
Favorite Genres: Modern, Historical, Romance, Action/Adventure, Horror/Dark, Fantasy, Slice of Life, Dystopian, can be convinced to write some Sci-Fi
Hard 'no's: Fandoms. Sorry, but I can't maintain interest in characters/worlds I didn't build with my partner
Template: Public threads or PMs. I prefer to keep all my RPs in one place, so no emails or G-docs or the like
Rating: Comfortable with 18+ content, but it's not a necessity and I prefer not to center a plot around explicit scenes
Level: Advanced. Will consistently provide around 400-700 words per post, but can occasionally leap to 2000+
Character preference: One main character, but large side casts are greatly enjoyed. Because I write long posts, I prefer not to double
Gender preference: Male. You'll be hard pressed to convince me to play a female that isn't a background character. It's just not my forte
Romantic Relationships: MxF or MxM (currently prefer MxM)
Character Images: Faceclaims or detailed descriptions only. I envision the characters like real people in my mind, so I can't take anime seriously
OOC chat: Yes please! I'm a total extrovert who loves to get to know the amazing minds behind my partners' characters

I'm always down for character deaths. I'm planning to have Peter killed off sometime later, since Vail won't be able to formally take over the clan until he kicks the bucket. I want to wait for a bit first though, because I think it will be interesting for Vail to start leading the Hygraces early even though it isn't orthodox

Okay. That will definitely open Peter's eyes to how badly he screwed up and forward the transition in leadership from him to Vail.

Sounds good! Would Mikael be going to the Hygrace manor to finish what the Wynters had started the first time they attacked?

I need to try to get some work done on the virtual model I'm building for my project today, but I may work intermittently on a post or get started on one when I'm done ^^
“Well, yeah, but when you live with it, you learn to tune things out,” Rayth explained in response to Lune’s question about his sense of smell. “If I paid attention to every scent around me all the time, it would drive me crazy.”
The only smells he really focused on were silver and blood, the former because it was sometimes associated with hunters and the latter because, well, he was a vampire. But he decided not to bring her attention back to that.
When she called him Count von Count, he shook his head, though he couldn’t stifle the smile on his lips. It seemed he wasn’t the only one who could throw kids’ show characters around in the form of an epithet. He was going to have to wrack his brain for better references later on, so he could show her that he wasn’t going to let her win “most creative” that easily.
Walking with her to the gate that would take them to the train, he was relieved that she seemed invested enough in chatting with him that her gaze didn’t stray to the mess left behind by the troupe.
Briefly, he peered over her shoulder to see that Frieda was rounding everyone up. The ringmistress didn’t always gather them after a show, but he remembered that she’d done the same thing the day he’d joined the circus. The only difference this time was that their newest member wasn’t present to be formally introduced.
She must be warning everyone that Lune’s a human, he deduced, his scarlet eyes flicking back to the girl’s face. They’d never taken a human in before, and since some of the monsters in the group were even more bloodthirsty than he was—so to speak—the faerie would have to lay down some ground rules so she wouldn’t be killed. He wondered if Frieda was telling them all that Lune didn’t know they weren’t human too.
At her question, he snapped out of his musing to pay attention, not wanting to clue her in to his wandering thoughts and get curious when the scene behind her looked like a horror flick.
“Las Vegas?” he brightened at the name. “I’ve always liked that place. The streets are lively, but I’ve never been able to get into the casinos. Can’t pass for twenty-one.” He held up his hands in a helpless shrug. It was one of the downsides to being immortal. He’d passed his twenties decades ago, but he still looked like he was only eighteen or nineteen years old. If he tried to go anywhere with an age limit, the bouncers and dealers would ask him for an ID, which he didn’t have because he was born in 1912, and that would raise red flags at any DMV.
The best he could do was get a fake, but the professionals in Vegas were so good at spotting those that it wasn’t even worth the effort.
“I’m from Albuquerque originally,” he replied openly when she asked about him. “But I migrated my way to New York before I joined the circus. That was where I met Frieda. She sort of… helped me get out of a not-so-great situation by letting me be part of the troupe.”
Thinking of another question to keep her occupied, he queried, “If you’re from Nevada, what made you choose to come to Los Angeles?”

Sure! It could help me to know what's about to happen, so I can better plan out how Vail will react to everything.

Sorry it's taking me a while to get a reply done for you! I've got a little writer's block for this story right now (happens sometimes), but I'll be trying to get a post up today or tomorrow if I can! I've found that just pushing through is (at least, for me) the best way of getting over a hill whenever my muse is being difficult :)
Yeah, I like how many different characters and scenes we've got going on right now though! It's fun to encompass all of it, so we know what's going on back in the capital and also with the other rebels ^^

As for the break out, I'm excited for after they get away and start making their way back toward the capital. That's when Cas will have to wrestle with whether or not he actually trusts Iris and then whether or not he can look at her as more than an aquaintance/friend because she's part of Hope. I think we should make that part sufficiently long to work on their relationship before they get back and everything falls apart again.
I think Cas and Iris's relationship is going to get worse before it gets better, haha
Yeah, right, Cas thought bitterly when Iris began acting like she was sorry for what she’d done. It was unforgiveable, but he didn’t believe for a second that she actually felt any remorse for what she had done. It was all just part of the game she was playing. She was pretending to be ashamed, so he would think she was someone he could confide in when the reality was that she had been his enemy from the very beginning. He wasn’t going to fall for her manipulations a second time. When he’d trusted her in the capital, he’d gotten himself abducted. He didn’t even want to know what would happen if he let her play with his heart while they were in the Scourge’s territory. For his own safety, he continued to watch her with a keen eye, refusing to allow himself to empathize with the pain on her face so she couldn’t get to him.

As she went on, he fought the urge to scoff. He already knew that not all the citizens outside of the capital were terrorists, but the rebels were, by definition, enemies of the crown. He was a Maydestone, so he was the crown. Even if the Scourge tricked the common people into believing that they had their best interests at heart, they were openly hostile to the high borns and the royals at the top of the upper echelon. Ethan had said they were going to kill him too. He wasn’t going to buy into their crap that they were actually good people just because she had brought him enough food and water to stay alive. That wasn’t how it worked.

“Maybe you’re not, but your boyfriend is,” he muttered, wrinkling his nose as he pictured the cruel smile that had twisted Ethan’s face when he’d said that the rebels were going to kill him. Even though he’d sentenced two people to death just a few days ago, he wasn’t so heartless that he would have delivered the news with a grin. Only psychopaths were that sadistic.

When Iris lifted her arm, he glanced at her briefly. For a second, he’d thought he saw something on her wrist, but it was so dark in the room that he couldn’t tell. He considered it for a second longer before he shrugged it off as a shadow and was distracted by her assertion that her feelings for him had been real. Here we go again, he sighed, bending one leg slightly to bring his knee to his chest. However, he quickly remembered that his feet were supposed to be bound, and he snapped his leg back down on the ground before she could tell that the rope wasn’t actually tied to anything.

“You keep saying you’re sorry and that you didn’t mean to hurt me, but tell me something,” he looked up at her with distrust in his eyes. His stomach begged him to dive for the food and water at her feet, but he wouldn’t move until he had answers. “Why were you in the capital to begin with? If you’re related to the leader of this whole damn rebellion, I can’t imagine you were just there for sightseeing. What were you really doing there if you didn’t mean to kidnap me?”
I still have so much left ^^; It's turning into a full time job for the next three weeks. That's why I decided to take a break today before I drown in BIM software, haha
