There's a panhandler who hangs out on the street corner by our dispensary every afternoon with a sign that just says "Green 4 Green?" and tbh, I respect my boy's confidence.

Hobbies: Writing, fitness, driving/exploring, hiking, camping, traveling, tabletop games, anything NEW (I love trying things I've never done before)
Roleplayer Profile

Format: 1x1s only. Maybe I'll try a group RP again someday, but I've never had one last longer than a few months
Posting Speed: Depending on my schedule, I can usually post at least once per week
Favorite Genres: Modern, Historical, Romance, Action/Adventure, Horror/Dark, Fantasy, Slice of Life, Dystopian, can be convinced to write some Sci-Fi
Hard 'no's: Fandoms. Sorry, but I can't maintain interest in characters/worlds I didn't build with my partner
Template: Public threads or PMs. I prefer to keep all my RPs in one place, so no emails or G-docs or the like
Rating: Comfortable with 18+ content, but it's not a necessity and I prefer not to center a plot around explicit scenes
Level: Advanced. Will consistently provide around 400-700 words per post, but can occasionally leap to 2000+
Character preference: One main character, but large side casts are greatly enjoyed. Because I write long posts, I prefer not to double
Gender preference: Male. You'll be hard pressed to convince me to play a female that isn't a background character. It's just not my forte
Romantic Relationships: MxF or MxM (currently prefer MxM)
Character Images: Faceclaims or detailed descriptions only. I envision the characters like real people in my mind, so I can't take anime seriously
OOC chat: Yes please! I'm a total extrovert who loves to get to know the amazing minds behind my partners' characters

Yeah, that would be fun. I like it! As for how he would get back, he could always prop something in front of the door to keep it from closing all the way, and since he hunts by tracking animals’ body heat he would just follow Artemis’s if he happened to forget where the door is after he leaves

Good luck with that exam!

I don’t know when I can start job hunting, since everything is a mess right now. I’ll probably take a few months off before I start trying unless any openings come up in my field
Yep. One down, many more to go xD
When Penelope questioned him about the thing he had stolen, Crow just shrugged airily. “I guess you’ll have to wait and find out.” He could never make it easy on her. Not only was it against his nature to be agreeable, but he also enjoyed the theatrics that went with making her wait. So, toying with the object in his pocket, he stayed put until she followed his directions to close her eyes before he removed it from his cloak. He liked surprising her, so a smile crossed his lips as he lifted up a leather cord and looped it around her neck.

“Okay, you can open your eyes now,” he informed her, brushing her hair out from underneath the semi-stiff thread. Against her chest, a silver pendant dangled. When they had visited Belmare, the piece had caught his eye, so he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to take it. Compared to the merchant’s other goods, it hadn’t been the most impressive piece of jewelry, so he doubted the man had noticed it was gone anyway. The silver had been molded into a round leaf with veins of emerald threaded into the surface as texture. The tip of the leaf pointed down and swept to the right, as if it was billowing in the wind, and the cut stem was attached by the cord around the knight’s neck.

“I know you don’t approve of stealing, but I couldn’t afford anything at that ridiculously overpriced market,” he justified, studying her face with a hapless smile. “Besides, it’s not like that foreign merchant needed my money. The rings he was wearing on his fingers were probably worth more than almost everything I own. I figured I could get away with taking just one pendant, and I wanted to get something for you in case everything worked out at the party, and my father sent me away to Younis. Unlike the last few times we’ve been apart, now you’ll have something to remember me by while I’m gone.”

He reached out to tuck a strand of her hair behind her ear, watching her features as he gauged her reaction. “The green in the leaf reminded me of your eyes… Do you like it?”
Oh yeah, everything's fine. I'm just hitting a wall when it comes to motivation in general this week xD This always happens to me toward the end of a semester. I get burnt out on doing anything and just want to be lazy all day.

Also the hubs and I are house hunting, so I've been spending a lot of time on Zillow looking at new listings lol
I definitely will! I always get overly excited when I think of ideas, so you can trust that I'll tell them to you if I come up with any xD

Sorry that one took a while! My brain has been all over the place today and I also had to run errands
She should be a politician, Cas thought as Iris flashed another fake smile at him. Since it looked like they really were going to be leaving Maisie’s apartment, he gathered up the blanket he’d borrowed for the night and folded it into a small square. He had never spent the night anywhere outside of his house before—with the exception of a few overnight stays at the hospital when his father’s health declined—so he didn’t know what their hostess wanted him to do with it. Doing his best to help out, he set the folded blanket on top of the pillow she had given him and placed both on the table, so she could do with them what she pleased.

The gesture was small, but he still felt proud of himself for contributing to cleaning up after he’d stayed for the night. Back home, he always had servants to do everything for him. When he left his bedroom each day, the hired staff always cleaned the room and made his bed for him, so everything was pristine by the time he came back to sleep the next evening. He liked that the servants took care of menial tasks, so he didn’t have to think about them, but there was something rewarding about doing some of the tasks for himself, even if that meant just folding a blanket and tidying up the sofa he’d slept on.

Hearing Maisie return, he looked up to find that she had packed Iris’s backpack full of all the things they might need. It was reassuring to know that she’d given them money too. He was probably going to have to keep changing out the bandages on his arm at least once a day until the wound healed enough that he could stop covering it. Since they didn’t have any more medical supplies, that meant they’d have to stop by a pharmacy to buy more if he didn’t make it back to the capital by the evening. He was still hoping to get home before nightfall, but even Iris had said that their success depended on not encountering any problems along the way. His experience outside the capital so far had consisted of nothing but problems, so he was trying not to get his hopes up too high.

As Iris walked off to get the hoodies that her friend had set out for them, Cas got up from the sofa again to put his shoes back on. He was just wondering what he should do with his old, bloodstained clothes when Maisie’s voice caught his attention. At her words, he shifted his weight. He really wanted to keep his promises to her, but since the last evening, he’d started to notice a few details here and there that were making him question if he would be able to. The soldier on the phone hadn’t listened to him at all, so he was starting to worry that he didn’t have as much authority as he’d had before he had been abducted. If he didn’t, he couldn’t protect Iris.

Similarly, the longer he spent time with Iris, the harder it was getting for him to keep his distance from her. When he’d been locked up in a cell, all he could think about was the fact that she was the one who had put him there. Now though, he was seeing her sweet side again and continued to be reminded of the woman who had won him over in the capital. Could he really promise her that he would be able to keep acting like there was nothing between them anymore?

Of course I can, he asserted to himself. I’m not going to lead her on when there’s no chance that we’ll be together later, and I can still tell the border security not to touch her when we get to the capital. The guard on the phone just didn’t recognize my voice. That’s all. More confident with his decision, he rolled his shoulders back and nodded at Maisie. “I won’t,” he told her again. “I’ll do everything in my power to make sure she doesn’t suffer for helping me.”
Okay! I was thinking that during the first night, Azdrei'in would spend part of his waking hours using the tablet for a while before he goes out again to look for something to eat. He might run into more infected humans while he's hunting. It would be kind of interesting if Artemis wakes up the next day to find him snoozing on the couch with bloodstains on his clothes (since he would have to use his fangs and claws rather than his weapon to hunt and fight)
Okay, cool. So she knows they might exist, but never saw them. I've got it :)

And I like the idea of Azdrei'in learning English by borrowing the tablet. That would keep him entertained during the evenings and nights. I imagine that Lunvalgans don't follow the same sleeping patterns as humans too. Instead of sleeping for eight hours all at once, they'd sleep for 4-6 and wake up for a few hours in the middle of the night before sleeping again for another 4-6. Being predators, they would sleep a little more than humans to do conserve energy between hunts like big cats and other carnivorous animals. So maybe 10 hours per day rather than 8. Even 12 or more sometimes if they really need to conserve energy

Anyway, when he wakes up during the night, he could study English on the tablet, and since he's a fast learner, he'd pick it up quicker than a human learning a foreign language would.
Ooh, I like that idea! Does Artemis know there are other immune humans or would that come as a surprise to her?

Maybe the first time our MCs cross paths with the humans, they part ways just long enough for the humans to think Azdrei'in is alone. That's when they would come out to attack, but Artemis is close enough to the commotion that she notices and intervenes with her lie about his weapon, both to protect him and the group? Since Azdrei'in would kill them if he saw them as a threat. If Artemis could defuse the situation, it would keep anyone from dying.

The second time, the humans could come back with a plan. Maybe they think Azdrei'in has captured Artemis and is holding her against her will for some sort of malicious reason, so they think they're saving her by trapping him?
