The cross is based off of "The Cross" a constellation that foows the sun during the day, and is in the east at night, and polytheism is common, though in your area if only the sun goddess is followed, I thought you were gonna ask me about the religions before you posted and the other stuff, but you did and I was kinda embarrassed to try and correct you since it was my fault for not informing you in the first place
