Insert photo of your character. Please use artwork. Using real people for your images, in my opinion, is VERY creepy.

I LOVE YOU.
For the theme part, is that like how Ruby is based on Red Riding Hood?

Also, are we all first year?

Or how Ozpin's council are based on the Wizard of Oz, or how Jaune is based on Jeanne d'Arc, or how Pyrrha is/was (;_;) based on Achilles etc.

Am I wrong?
Female!

Also, yaaaaaaay the White Fang exists! Now I get to do some awful, awful shit to my character >:D
Also, have some hilariously inappropriate-in-retrospect fanart:

Hmmm... Just thought of this, but wouldn't anti-Faunus sentimemts be particularly bad after the War on account of Faunus being used as human weapons? Not that "RACISM!" (insert Spongebob rainbow hand gestures here) isn't going to be a central topic with Faunus no matter when or where you are in the RWBY universe, but we may want to put just a bit of distance between this RP and the immediate end of the War.

Then again, I think I might be crossing a few mental wires with Blazblue's beastkin here, so there's a good chance I may just be misremembering a few details.
We also don't want to distance ourselves too much from canon though, otherwise it's equally fanfiction. Just wanted to say that.

What about setting the RP before the main canon timeline? Like have the characters be the previous graduating class of one of the schools (preferably Beacon if only because it's the school we know most about). That way we can effectively distance ourselves from any huge catastrophes.

Alternatively, just set it at any point in the recent or distant past, either before or after the War. The schools and the technology to build weapons seems to have existed for at least a hundred years or so.

I'm more for a small group than a big one in all honesty. A smaller group allows for more relations to be built up and makes the central team really feel like protagonists. Although, if someone drops out that could prove to be problematic. The problem with bigger groups is making a plot of fit them all, and the early drop out stuff is still there but just on a larger scale.

Sorry if there are any typos by the way! On my phone so autocorrect might have gotten me

Agreed.

As for plot, what if the characters are all transfer students from the various schools being thrown together into a slapdash team around the time the Vytal festival takes place (and all that entails...). Since there's really no good way to get them placed into teams the usual way halfway through the semester, they have to learn to work together in time to participate in the tournament and aide in the upcoming crisis.
So we want this to be a small group diddly or a large group diddly? Because we've got enough right now for a single team with the GM as leader. Could keep things nice and simple.
>was thinking about how awesome a RWBY RP would be but thought no one would be making new ones instead of just joining the older ones

>log on to RPGuild for the first time in months and someone just created a new RWBY RP a few hours ago

AM I GOD?!?!
Oh woops, forgot to read the plot. My bad.
