Even if the jackal woman had noticed the slight look in the naga's eyes it was likely lost upon her. Or if the former her expression gave no indication of such. Having turned her attention to the counter she awaiting Simon or Albert to have a moment. They were quite busy and felt no need to rush them. Business picked up quicker here than she had expected. By no means did she intend to be around very many people. Coming early was an attempt to avoid such. The inner thought of her mind were interrupted when her acute senses picked up on a distinct scent of filth. Not that it meant much. It took very little for her to notice something like that.

Turning slightly she glanced over her shoulder, her ears swiveling slightly following her gaze. It was an unconscious action to listen as well as see what was going on. The source of the smell was a disheveled young demon who joked with the large naga, not a particularly wise thing to do. Sophie seemed to recall seeing Ian from a distance on a couple occasions but he always seemed distracted by someone else. Apparently moving on the male attempted making an advance on the woman she had observed earlier who wanted nothing to do with it. Thinking this a rather good plan herself she tried to turn away before anyone noticed but kept her ears alert. The young jackal was not keen on surprises.

Oh, by the way, start putting the users mentioned in your post at the top of your posts *yes I know currently almost everyone is in the cafe*

This system really helps guys, it lets me really narrow in. However, don't think this means I ignore any posts. I read all your posts, every single one of them.

Gotcha. I try to mention the users as well.
@t2wave, speaking of timezones, I wish to discuss your character's power, issues of flavoring in particular. I have a few questions of extreme cases I would like to address:

1. The power's use on objects: is it limited to an area or particular objects? If area, what happens to a person that put their arm in? What happens to things that get thrown in from outside?

2. Does the power interact with light? If so, there are going to be some horrible EM distortions on its edge. If not, what's the point of affecting an area?

3. Depending on the answer to 2, how does it interact with energy weapons or energy discharges?

4. How does it interact with psychic powers?

I am in the Central Standard Timezone (CST -6:00).

1. The edges were something we talked about. The simplest way to prevent something from being ripped or smashed on contact was to say that if someone were to put their arm in then it would effect them as a whole. Sort of extending around them so they are within the affect.

2. I would say so. I suppose something that I considered was using the ability on a camera. Let me see if this makes sense. Slow down a camera. The camera sees a compressed span of time as the light slows down heading to the camera. On the other end is a feed going out to security. The electrical signal sends packets of 120fps video. But since it is slowed down they are only getting small slideshow clips of the blurred light (think multiple exposure) as each signal exits the field and moves on its way.

3. It should. But given the relatively small area and the speed at which electricity and light travel it wouldn't be that significant of a difference. At least I would not think. I'm not trying to break everything so I suspend disbelief.

4. In what manner? Precognition? Mind reading? Since the speed at which a psychic can make a connection is impossible to calculate then I will say that it is such an insignificant difference that it doesn't matter. Either way will depend on the perspective just like how something is perceived to move fast. In theory a precog is seeing things from some angle so it would depend on if things are fast or slow and if they are seeing from inside or out. Now mind reading is an interesting one. If one is reading thought then they are in theory getting whatever signals the neurons in the target's brain are sending. If we were to speed up time by 1000 on the target then the mind reader would be getting a flood of signals that probably would make it difficult to filter through.
It's interesting how the two posts that mention Simon are talking about how oblivious he is and how he can't make good tea.

No love for the llama it seems...IS IT BECAUSE HE'S A STRAIGHT GUY!?

Kidding, of course.

I fix. Sophie doesn't have much to go on though. She isn't particularly frightening or think ill of his work.
Approaching the Corner Garden, Sophie found it already quite busy. The other residents apparently interacting with each other. The naga she recognized, having met her already on another occasion, even if briefly. There was some fowl that she was holding, her breakfast perhaps? No she was holding it far too gently. "Good morning Officer Oerba. Do you have a new friend there?" Interactions were not her strong point but that was partly the reason she was there. So far she had noticed that people in this world were not as formal.

The other woman there, Mulivon, was wearing some tribal garments. At the very least it looked to hold some personal significance. Not wanting to stare though she continued to the counter so she could again try a coffee whilst awaiting Oerba's answer. "Good morning Simon Armijo. How are you?" She had a habit of addressing people with their full name. As she has had to explain it was customary to pay homage to one's past lineage. What was not explained quite as well was why. But she didn't want to bore someone with details that did not necessarily pertain to them.

I feel I should let @Peaceless respond to the orders before posting.
Arachne should know something as well. During that time period she would have kept tabs on the war and other events on interest. Someone having been around that long she should at the least know his name.
Deck

Having seen some gow below deck Chris headed that way. The weather out here had turned quite ugly and he had no intention of being outside longer than he had to. Fighting the wind and the rocking of the ship he trudged forward, checking over his shoulder to be sure that Christopher didn't get bowled over. Ocean spray beating up over the railing it slapped them in the face. Coming up to where he had seen them go he tossed the things he was holding down in a clear spot and waited half way down to take the things off the hands of his companion so he would have it easier getting down.

Mess/Engine Room

Once out of the torrent he was met first by a powerful smell of vinegar. Only after the initial burning sensation did he realize that a barrel had been dumped on the ground that held a brine. While not pleasant it wouldn't kill him. Someone had come up from the beck below, which seemed to be the source of the smoke smell. But as they weren't panicing he figured they had solved the problem. After a few moments he put two and two together and concluded that that was why the container had been emptied. If only they had been able to find a better thing to dump.

Brushing salt water from his brow he advanced to the hatch, Tam Tam was there, denoted by her usual yelling. People were down there huh? "Hold on, I'll help get them out." Looking back he motioned those that were there. "I'll get them part way up, I'll need you to lift them out. Got it?" Stepping down he made his way around carefully. It wasn't terribly well lit down here.
Sorry, been busy. I just need to get Chris (and Christopher in tow) to the others.

S-shut up. Hmph. (Didn't know that. Will keep it in mind.)

Just thought I'd help you out for the future. Helps that I think spiders are awesome creatures, even if they do occasionally surprise me.
