Current Now that I have given up video games I should have a lot more time to RP now. I'm sure that I'm not the first person to have declared this but hopefully I won't be the last.

To all those who are awaiting a post from me I'm sorry. I have no excuses. I expect the very best from myself and frankly that kind of pressure brings about some major procrastination.

Alright, no more screwing around. I have to get started on my various projects. I can't let another week go by with nothing done. Lady France awaits and I'm not getting any younger.

I guess this is where I explain myself.

All I can say is that my existence is an endless void occasionally interrupted by passing flashes of light.
Interlaced with a little randomness here and there to, ya know, keep things interesting.

Just a reminder @Hylozoist. My latest Meanwhile post still needs to be added to the Meanwhile directory. Thanks in advance.
@DepressedSoviet I won't. I will submit a character sheet when you decide to get this project off the ground. Thanks for your help btw.
@TwelveOf8I likely don't have the same level of experience as Lady Selune on the subject, but I can still offer helpful explanations and links to online articles for additional reading. To answer your problem of not knowing how the army worked at this time: Basically somewhere between WW2 and the modern day. Some of the ranks of WW2 were gone, but some of the weapons and command structure were the same, and despite the creation of the Air Force, the Army still had plenty of its own air support at this time. This roleplay, however, is going to focus more on the jungle and forest small unit combat of the war, rather than general military life, so the most you'll need to know is where ranks fall in the linear chain of command, and the Vietnam-era Phonetic alphabet for objective names and the like. Wikipedia has plenty of stuff of use in this case, including a page listing all the firearms and weapons used by the various militaries involved in the conflict.

Wow, this is going to take some work. Maybe we could wait until more people are interested until we make things concrete, so to speak.

I actually study history in college and I've done a project on Vietnam. I'm no expert, but I can certainly help!

That would be very helpful but I'd end up bugging you all the time over every little detail.
The mechanic of having each players characters die so easily and then be replaced so readily by newly minted characters intrigues me. I like making characters. As I've said, I have a couple that have never seen the light of day.

A problem I have though is that I really don't know anything about the Vietnam war, nor what the military was like back then.

Well, instead of spamming the shit out of the OOC section, we could talk, like, somewhere else

I suppose so. PMs it is.
"But hey, Corinne." said Divo. He sighed to himself. Corrinne was in too much of a hurry to listen to him. Divo let out a sigh of slight frustration.

Divo felt kinda uncomfortable when Corinne voiced her assumption. She was a sweet kid and a pretty girl. He really didn't want to break the news to her. He worried that Corinne wouldn't take it very well. Rules were rules after all. Even amongst outlaws. Maybe Corinne could pull through and make it, but only time would tell.

Divo himself remembered all too clearly what it was like being the new kid, especially in a school like Salt Bay High. He remembered meeting Switch and Rolo for the first time. How they introduced him to the Salt Bay Turbos. How they made him go through the Salt Bay Turbo initiation challenges. Those weren't fun times. But it was times like these that people needed friends the most. Sadly though, it took more than just being friends for one to be allowed to hang with the Salt Bay Turbos. He didn't want to tell Corinne the bad news but he also didn't want Corinne to go through what he had to. In order to protect Corinne, he and his friends would have to hurt her, before completely accepting her as one of their own. With such a prospect at hand, Divo felt conflicted.

Oh gee.... well maybe I should let you sleep.

Or not. Or whatever. I have an idea.

I'm going to make an IC post. Oh, and what idea do you have in mind?
@Rhythmloid Yes, it's really that late where I am.
@TwelveOf8 Oh dear what time is it? I should keep you awake but I probably will. Oops but not oops

I'm used to be awake at this time anyway. Ain't nothing in the world could keep me away from sleep if I truly wanted it. The time here is 2:30am.
