You're an interesting species. An interesting mix. You're capable of such beautiful dreams, and such horrible nightmares. You feel so lost, so cut off, so alone, only you're not. See, in all our searching, the only thing we've found that makes the emptiness bearable, is each other.
Thanks!

Don't worry about the drinking age in this story, no cops no problem :p
Technically 21 in all the states, however the servants have been instructed to serve anyone 18+, so what you put is fine :p
Indeed, you can tip :P
@Gowia - Good post, though one small thing

"And what can I buy you two lovely ladies?"

Mr. Acheson is far too wealthy to make this a cash bar. Drinks are free to all guests :P

Don't forget to do your initial posts :D

Gerard examined the coin for a bit, cleaning it off with his shirt. Sloshing over to Jasmine and Thomas, "Y'all ever seen a coin like this before?" Both shook their heads, and he beamed, pocketing his find, "Hopefully it's worth something good."

Jasmine stared down at the ruins of the cart a bit disappointed. Soggy, rotten wood and rusted metal bits, not only worthless, but not even interesting. Jasmine watched as the two brothers, at least she assumed they were brothers, lead onward, further into the depths of the cave with the ferry man, and more importantly, the lantern following. She elbowed the two guys, and they stuck close to Wystan, paying no mind to the ceiling above or the route ahead. Thomas gave Gerard a look, one that both knew, over the top of Jasmine's head. Gerard rolled his eyes, falling back to let Thomas have some time just with Jasmine, "I'm going to make sure everyone else is getting along okay, don't go too far without me."

Jasmine turned and watched her brother head back, nodding and smiling at him. Looking Once again, the redhead tripped, reaching out and steadying herself against Thomas' bulky frame. She huffed, and gripped his hand, knowing that slipping and tripping would be par for the course, mildly wishing they'd taken the drier path. Keeping close to the light source, she turned to look at Thomas as he spoke, "So, Jas, if we get rich, what are you gonna do with your money?"

She shrugged, "I don't know, buy ma and pa a bigger house and barn. Maybe buy some land of my own and put a house on it."

"Sounds lonely, you in a big house, all alone."

She giggled a bit, bumping him with her shoulder, "It's not like I'd be moving to the moon or nothin. I'd still be near you, Gerard, ma, pa, all my family. What would you do?"

He had gripped her hand just a bit tighter, not uncomfortably though, "A land and a house sounds nice. And," here he blushed deeply, though it went unnoticed in the dim light, "Buy a ring, to make a really amazing girl my wife."

"Aww, that sounds lovely. I'm sure you'll find her, with or without treasure."

And with that, Thomas' hand loosened lightly, defeated once again. Would she always see him as a brother, and not as a proper man? Gerard could see the slump in his best friend's shoulders, as he made his way over to Marzipan. "You look like you could use some company," beaming at the buxom barmaid.
Logan turned as heard a woman greet him, momentarily putting his morning habit out of his mind. After all, they weren't his animals, so women came first. And as for his actual animals, he knew his little brother would be at the stable before the sun fully rose, as usual. Looking down at her with an aloof, comfortable smile, in his slight drawl, "Hello Miss."

When offered the cigarette, his smile widened a bit, but he shook his head. The horses hated the smell of smoke, so he kept his habits to a pipe, at night, when work was over. "Maybe later tonight, but thanks." He'd intentionally phrased it as an excuse to seek her out later, or perhaps for her to seek him out, as he preferred.

His hand scratched the back of his head, feigning sheepishness now, "Ah'm actually tryin' to find the door outta here, so yes, I think I will tag along. Thank you Miss." As he was about to turn, for them to leave, he heard the light footsteps of either a woman or child approach. Looking over his new found companion's shoulder, he saw a rather tall woman, nearly as tall as him. He was about to greet her, when she quickly launched into her own line of questioning, without much concern for manners.

Logan's grin dropped just a bit, not terribly noticeable unless someone was paying close attention, "Good mornin' Miss. I can't speak for my friend here, but yes, I was caught in the storm." He didn't bother to respond to her other statement. Everyone there had a reason, his was shelter, some lived here, others worked. This woman had already put him off a bit, and to make it worse, she wasn't ugly. A pretty woman with no manners, saying silly things like that, held little interest for Logan.

"We were just nippin' out for a bit. I imagine we shall meet again at breakfast. It was a pleasure to meet you, Miss..." He'd wait for her to give her name, then look down at his cigarette adorned friend, "Shall we?"

Dear @Mahz,

Could we have an ignore function added to the new chat? It would truly be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
