ParaCom: Horror under the Sea

I was also considering adjusting the difficulty of this RP. I have five difficulty levels available. From easiest to hardest: Beginner, Experienced, Veteran, Genius, and Superhuman. Beginner is the baby mode and experienced is the relaxed mode. Veteran intends to be challenging but fair. Genius is designed for those who already played XCOM-like games and seasoned RP'ers. Superhuman is the difficulty for those who enjoy suffering.

I'll leave it up to everyone for votes.

ParaCom: Horror under the Sea

Cho Sun Jin

Name: Cho Sun-Jin
Age: 29
Country of origin: South Korea
Specialty: Sniper and Counter-Terror Ops (because it stands to reason that a sniper would be trained in other things while maintaining his position as the squad marksman.)
Equipment:

• A CheyTac Intervention M-200 variant sniper rifle is his primary piece of gear. A bolt action, magazine-fed sniper rifle, it fires .408 Chey Tac rounds, with an effective supersonic range of 2,200 yards or 2 kilometers.
• A KRISS Vector submachine gun is his CQC weapon. Fires .45 ACP at a blistering 1,200 rounds a minute, and comes chambered in a 25 round extended magazine.
• A Heckler & Koch P30L pistol is his sidearm. Fires .40 S&W rounds, and a full magazine comprises 13 of said rounds.
• A Ka-Bar military knife.

Appearance: Obviously he goes for missions in a shirt. He stands 5' 9", weighing in at 185 pounds of well-trained muscle. His hair is black and his eyes are brown.

Bio: Cho hails from Seoul, and specifically the 707th Special Mission Battalion, which is the special counter-terror wing of the South Korean military. When he was old enough, he enlisted first in the regular military then proved himself worthy to sign up with the 707th. There, the training pushed him far beyond his physical and mental boundaries, and today he's a crack shot and an able soldier, trained and proficient in urban warfare, counter-terror operations and, above all, marksmanship.

When he was young, he was always interested in the military, and after all the above experiences, you could say he is living the dream, his dream anyway. After all, his family was partly military too, at least on his father's side. His mother was a simple and humble cook in a small street corner eatery near home that served home grown and home cooked foods for the locals, neighbours, visitors and what have you. However, he lost his father and grandmother when the cruise ship they were on capsized due to one of the aforementioned paranormal events that occured round the globe. Now left with one ailing half of his family, Cho is quietly determined to find the cause of his family tragedy and to right that wrong for good.

Personality: Cho is rather quiet for a man of his caliber, and for good reason: he is focused and resolute, powered mainly by the tragedy that happened to his dad and grandma. If you talk to him, he'll chat with you at length on whatever subject you wish to discuss, but leave him alone and he'll lapse into a grim, tense silence, punctuated only by the sounds of his equipment being checked, double checked and triple checked for each and every mission.

Reviewing. Looks good actually. I can see him being a slow but powerful unit. My reasoning is that unless he is strong enough to lug all his equipment, I believe the weight can slow him down. You also thought ahead as snipers are vulnerable in close quarters. Reading the other sections, you went whole hog above and beyond. Excellent! I look forward to seeing you in the field. You have full permission to port it to the characters tab.

Simo Koski

Name: Simo Koski

Country of origin: Finland

Specialty: Support

Appearance: Simo Koski

Bio: Since his youth, Simo was looking forward to joining the military, to honor his relatives who died defending their homeland against invaders back in WW2. After he performed his military service there was discussion on promoting him to corporal due to passing all physical exams and following orders to the letter, but his brash attitude cut those dreams short. That is, until another invasion happened, and this time the entire planet was the target. Simo took this as a sign, and signed up to join the fight against this unknown threat, taking it by the horns if he had to.

Personality: Simo can be loud and boisterous when he is excited, especially if he finds himself in a tight spot. However, he is disciplined and follows every order to the letter, trusting completely in his superior's judgement. He believes that by defending the world against this sudden paranormal invasion he shows proper respect to his family. Simo is also ready to sacrifice himself if it means saving the lives of his squad, having no close family of his own to make worried. He has a tendency to wisecrack at his allies' injuries when he treats them, but that is his way of showing he cares.
