I figured that with asteroid mining highly prevalent, an extremely deadly weapon could be very well made by doing things to alter the course of space rocks and slam it to Earth.

Yep, but please consider that terraforming Mars takes a long time, so don't make it hasty for the sake of making yourself a planetary superpower.
