This is basically like an old school game called Oregon Trail but you know someone will live and there's less dysentary. I like it!

Potluck is a large man in stature and size. He stands around 6ft 3in and weighs enough to be qualified as a super-heavyweight by definition. Powerful muscle ripples under his bulky frame, well hidden by his fat and baggy clothing. His skin is tanned from the sun and his hair is the color of fire, his green eyes often sparkle with emotion, and he tends to smell like cooked food. Potluck wears a white shirt, covered by a white apron, with only pants that vary by color, bagginess, or appearance. The aprons he wear are often slightly discolored from age and use. A huge cooking pot strung up by ropes, the size of which could likely hoist anchors, is almost always being carried by Potluck, along with a butcher's cleaver that is comically oversized. Sometimes the cleaver is changed out for a large fork of even bigger size.

Main Power:
- Cursed Culinary - There are bad chefs, there are terrible chefs, and then there are chefs so bad that their cooking seems to be malicious. Potluck can combine any random ingredients in his Cursed Cook Pot and summon fourth a random conglomeration of those items in the form of a semi-sentient beast. Wither or not the beasts do what he tells them to seems to be based on what items go into the pot. Their powers vary based on spices, flavors, ingredients, and cook time.

Sub Power:
- Slime-like Sweat - Potluck is sweating so much near constantly that he seems to have built up a very mild resistance to fire based attacks. Somehow. The sweat is a weirdly slime like, oily, substance that can be evaporated with effort but reeks and... wait... is he using it as a secret ingredient? GROSS.

- Strong - Potluck is as strong as a power-lifter. He's able to haul around that giant cook pot with ease. While it's not abnormal strength by any means, it's definitely above average for a man that cooks all day. Truth is, he's very much into power lifting on his off time-- helps him blow off steam.

- Heavy - Less a power and more a matter of fact. Potluck is very heavy. (330lbs for precision)

Personality:
Usually in a happy, somewhat jolly mood, Potluck's whole demeanor changes when he is upset. He's sensitive, short fused, and his temper is horrendously explosive. That being said, Potluck calms down just as quickly, and tends to forgive easily unless, of course, his cooking was insulted. He laughs just as much as he rages just as much as he cries. He has an undying sense of hope and determination that is the very root cause of all his troubles-- Potluck doesn't know the meaning of the words "give up." Potluck is extremely extroverted and wants everyone he meets to try his food! Please! Like it!!

History:
Gentle Hallvurdur wanted to be a chef since he was a little boy. He spent years of cooking, baking, frying, and reading up on the culinary arts. Unfortunately, none of this could help the fact that he had no skill, no sense of taste, and absolutely no talent. Hallvurdur can't even manage to toast a slice of bread properly. With everyone calling his cooking terrible and Hallvurdur, insisting that it was delicious, developed resentment toward everyone, especially other chefs that told him his cooking was bad. He's grew into an angry man, a sad man, but not a man without hope that someone somewhere will find his cooking delicious! All he wants is recognition of his talents and he will stop at nothing to get it.

Hallvurdur has traveled the world, cooking food, having people try it, getting rejected, then becoming so angry that he attacks those people, then promptly leaves town. The cycle repeats endlessly. Now he's come to Metropolis...

Reason for Becoming a Villain: ... with a reputation that preceded him. The Voodoo man found Hallvurdur and offered him a gift-- a magical pot that would cook delicious meals that would earn the admiration and respect of anyone that sampled the food. With his magical pot in hand, Hallvurdur took the moniker "Potluck" as his new name, based on his cooking style, and has been convinced not to ever give up on making the people of Metropolis like his food. He'll do it by force if he has to, accompanied by the beasts summoned from the pot as his assistants.

Other:
- Instant Anger - Insult Potluck's food for 100% aggro pull. Hope you brought a tank and a healer to this raid! Keep insulting him and he may end up crying, actually.

- Actually Helpless - If disarmed, Potluck is absolutely unable to retaliate other than wild flailing-- he's not combat trained in the least. Of course, that being said, he does know that swinging a thing really hard will hurt someone. If he punches he'll probably break his wrist, though.

Appearance

Yeva is average height with a slightly heavy build and her skin is a warm brown. Her hair is wavy, ear length, and a noticeable shade of dark brown. Usually she keeps it loose with very little care for what "style" it's in though, she tends to pull it up into a small ponytail when working. A set of blue-green eyes stare tiredly from a rather average face that could blend in easily in a crowd. She smiles often, despite her seemingly perpetual weariness, and her voice is soft and sweet.

A dark blue jacket, made of a wind and rain resistant material, is never far from her. It sports white stripes on the sleeves and red tags on each side of the zipper with white embroidered lettering-- the left reads her surname and the right reads A.L.C.. She often wears a long sleeved shirt no matter the weather, often claiming to be cold even while sweating. A pair of non eventful blue jeans and black leather work-boots final out her loose sense of the word "fashion." Yeva clearly prefers functional, practical, and useful clothing.

Traits

Cooking and silence are two of Yeva's favorite things. She is known for her long silences or excited conversation about a new recipe with little to no in between. Yeva's presence is subtle but she isn't usually huddled off alone somewhere. She takes joy in being around people and simply listening and laughing along with conversation. More often than not Yeva smells of desserts, because she has a rather notorious sweet tooth. While Yeva's not difficult to talk to, she tends to end a conversation if she's not in the mood for it, which is easy to tell by her thousand-mile stare mid conversation.

In contrast, Yeva is by no means a cold person, and often speaks from a place of empathy and care for those that choose to confide in her-- which happens to be many people, even strangers. Indeed, Yeva tends to attract attention rather than seek it. She's a very good listener that can keep a secret better than the dead. Yeva's communication skills are by no means terrible-- she has been known to effectively mediate and negotiate with a professional ease-- and she does posses a rather dry, sarcastic, dark sense of humor.

Past

What is known about Yeva's is largely general ideas and half-truths...

Yeva was born on an unnamed ship en-route to Jupiter. Callisto is where Yeva insists her home was, though this is more in a territorial sense, than physical. Her parents have been dead for a very long time and she often speaks of growing up alone and on the streets or in the wilderness. Roaming the hills and searching for food, scavenging piles of discarded tech, and avoiding handcuffs and citations are things Yeva speaks of with a mix of emotions.

She was found rather accidentally by the crew of the Absolute Magnitude-- apparently when a bounty hunt lead them deep into the forest. The bounty target had already been caught by Yeva's well laid trap by the time the crew came upon the scene.

Yeva keeps many details about herself carefully unspoken. Her jacket, branded with the obvious A.L.C. name plate for instance, is a subject she generally deflects questions about. Though a lot of her past has been discussed, this jacket is still something of a lingering mystery, along with how she developed such excellent cooking skills, despite her past.

Strengths

Culinary Arts: Yeva could be described as a culinary prodigy. If someone on the crew wants it, she will go to great lengths to replicate the flavors, based on nothing more than a description, often with a high rate of success. She lives to cook and cooks to live. Yeva enjoys cooking fresh meals with "old school" natural ingredients.

Communication Equipment: Her experience with a multitude of communicaton's devices from satellite to ancient era radio waves makes her something of a go-to for signal help. Yeva is by no means an expert, of course, but she knows a great deal and can often figure things out if given enough time and room to concentrate. That being said, Yeva has been defeated by a few odd pieces of equipment.

Scrappy Fighting Skills: No professional training teaches someone to bite their opponent, throw dirt into their eyes, and run away. Yeva learned to fight somewhere rough and definitely not because she wanted to. Her skills are wild, focused on escape, and able to be countered by someone with expertise in fighting-- if the unpredictability doesn't manage to overwhelm them, that is.

Wilderness Survival: Homelessness and a nomadic life have granted Yeva a good skillset of "old world" survival techniques, using little or nothing in order to scrape by. She seems to open up as a person while placed in the woods or mountains-- even taking something of a more vocal advisor role when necessary. She also knows how to hunt, track, and trap animals with ease-- techniques easily applied to people when necessary.

Hunting Crossbow: Yeva is somewhat skilled at using a crossbow. She obtained one at some point in time and often talks about how the ammunition is "reusable" and how it was good to have while in the wild. She doesn't often bring it with her, but it looks to be very meticulously maintained with a few scratches from use and age.

Weaknesses

Interpersonal Difficulties: Yeva often becomes frustrated with people to the point she can lapse into a day's worth of silence. Some things are learned only by interacting with others through life and Yeva simply hasn't had a lot of interaction with anyone. This can lead to a lot of misunderstandings and social difficulties for Yeva. She never vocalizes her frustrations and tends to bear them silently leading to a lot of grudge holding.

Weak Willed: Yeva can be frustratingly quick to back down from a fight, argument, or disagreement. Instead of trying to work things out or compromise, she will often agree for the sake of agreement, and can be easily pushed over when it comes to her opinions. Yeva chooses to not voice her perspective often as a result, even when it would probably be beneficial to do so.

Physically Weak: Yeva has muscle enough to mountain climb, walk long distances, and carry weight on her back-- it's more practical muscle than combat focused muscle. She has endurance rather than strength and can struggle with a heavy box. Running is not something she does willingly at all. Yeva is of the opinion that if she has to run, everything has probably gone to shit, and she may as well die at a leisurely pace.

High Fear of Animals: Severe trauma was apparently suffered at the claws or jaws of an animal at some point in her past. As a result, if an animal shows any signs of aggressiveness, Yeva can become nearly paralyzed with fear or the extreme opposite-- highly aggressive and likely to harm the animal without thinking.

Terrible Immune System: She has purchased a wide variety of cloth masks to keep over her face for when she is ill-- which is often-- and has to cook a meal for everyone. Yeva is usually either ill or recovering from an illness, some of which leave her with fevers and chills afterward. A lot of the time she can become ill with none of the rest of the crew catching the illness at all. When Yeva's "not sick" she tends to have a sniffle anyway.

Guild of Rejected Super Heroes

Neftet-- ah, Bones as she was known by to other "Heroes"-- continued her walk into town without incident. People didn't run and flee in terror from the walking skeleton at all in fact, she didn't really turn heads that much. Most people in this day and age, much to her relief, tended to assume she were just in costume and wearing very convincing cosmetics. Sometimes people would stop her for pictures but other than that, Bones was free to walk toward this "Super Villain Attack" without incident.

When Bones turned a corner she was within eyesight of the scene of the crime, still walking casually, still a perch for two pigeons, and still wearing a sombrero.

Starless Knight (Pun Intended)

Appearance:
Starless Knight stands at an impressive height, towering over most people, and constantly banging their head into doorways (8ft tall precisely). Their silver armor is dull and doesn't look to be entirely metal-- almost as if it were made from something semi-organic-- and it's slightly warm to the touch. A large claw, spiked, acting as a form of shield, is what their left arm has transformed into. Their right arm ends at the wrist and turns into a lance from there, fully attached to their being.

A mane of fibers extends from the base of their helmet, made from the same odd material as their body, which possesses the ability to act as a barrier or a whip to deflect projectiles. Two silver orbs glow from within the dark recess of the "helmet" which act as eyes. Every bit of the armor has no clear means of removal, heavily implying that it is part of the Starless Knight's body, instead of traditional assembled armor.

A large chain with a dazzling blue gem is worn around the Starless Knight's neck and it is unbearably cold to the touch.

Arm Lance. Arm Shield. Whip like "hair".

Main Power:
- Light Of The Stars - The lance can become empowered and glow a bright white making it both an eyesore and able to hit twice as hard as it otherwise can. It also has an advantage against shadow or darkness based abilities and can act as a pretty cool night light, if needed.

- Coldness of Space - The chill of a starless void accompanies the Starless Knight's presence. When unleashed in full, the power of the gem worn around their neck empowers their attacks with ice based elemental abilities. The Starless Knight gets creative with the attacks-- freezing the ground, tossing around gusts of sub-zero winds, and even coating themselves in ice as an armor of sorts. Temperatures continue to sink in a large radius around the Starless Knight until the gem's power is deactivated.

Sub Power:
- Tough As Armor - Starless Knight's body is extremely tough-- made of a material that rivals that of titanium. This means it's definitely not impossible to break, dent, or penetrate.

- Too Much Stamina - Running extreme distances, fighting hard for long periods of time, and not sleeping for days accompanies Starless Knight's abilities. They can become tired, of course, but it takes a large amount of exertion to do so. This results in day or longer resting periods.

- Transformed State - Rumor has it that Starless Knight possesses the ability to transform into something else... hopefully nothing stronger than what they currently are.

Personality:
The honorable Starless Knight acts from a place of old school "chivalry" and upstanding morality. Constantly insisting that the evildoers must be purged, Starless Knight tirelessly hunts down heroes, meeting them on even ground and challenging them to combat. They don't like to take the lives of innocents, the defenseless, the otherwise helpless, and take a large amount of care not to cause unnecessary damage to the town or anyone's property. Starless Knight has been seen saving people from other villains on several occasions-- even going so far as to kill said villains, when their crimes were particularly heinous.

As far as the Starless Knight is concerned, if you wield a weapon against them, you have declared yourself a threat-- capable of defending yourself-- and should either run or face elimination. They do not hold back their abilities when necessary and will use every ounce of their power if need be-- that being said, the Starless Knight doesn't believe in excessive force, dirty fighting, or "messy kills."

In Starless Knight's eyes, your end will be swift, neat, and justified.

History:
Unknown. However, a peculiar missing person's report cropped up around the same time the Starless Knight appeared. It could be coincidental or related... depends on interpretation, really.

Reason for Becoming a Villain:
Voodoo man dun up n wiggle waggle fingers mind control
Behold Starless Knight, puppet of the Voodoo Man. Their intentions were once angry, spiteful, but good. Starless Knight was focused only on becoming a better hero than any others-- better than the ones that had disappointed the person they used to be. This made Starless Knight all too easy to manipulate into villainy. The Voodoo man offered them power enough to become a better hero-- power to freeze enemies in their tracks. The more heroes they defeated, the more Starless Knight's views twisted horribly-- No hero is good enough! All the weaker ones must be eliminated, else they hurt or harm those they mean to protect.

So long as the Starless Knight is able to fight and win against heroes, they will continue their hunt, weeding out the weak from the strong, and crushing those up and coming vigilantes and do-gooders deemed unworthy.

Starless Knight feels as if they will eventually be the last hero standing-- the only one capable of doing any good-- and then, only then, will the city and it's people be safe.

Other:
- Critical Weakness To Fire - Small exposure is okay. Maybe even standing in a fire... but being constantly heated for prolonged periods of time without any let up? You want a melted Knight? That's how you get a melted knight.

- Lightning Rod - Lightning and electrical based attacks WILL hit Starless Knight with 100% accuracy every time. Prolonged exposure to lightning or electricity causes the same effects as prolonged exposure to flame. See above.

- TOO MUCH HONOR - If someone yields to Starless Knight and begs to be spared, more than likely, Starless Knight will let them live, but only if they "swear on their honor" that they will abide by whatever Starless Knight demands of them. However, fool them once and you don't get a twice.

When John rolled out of the way, Alex was so relieved to see this that he didn't see the light pole at all. Well, that was until he ran directly into it. Alex was accustomed to taking hits, being thrown around, and all sorts of tackling but, none of these hits quite compared to a heavy hit from one's own stupidity fueled momentum.

Alex hit the pole with the upper part of his body, not quite ramming into it head on, but his body practically wrapped around it in a very comical fashion that knocked the wind out of him. He sank to the ground, practically deflating, his tail falling to the pavement sadly. Alex was going to take a moment to sit down here and think about what he had done.

Alex didn't expect John to draw a knife, in fact, he was charging far too hard to stop charging now. A list of Pros and Cons raced through his head...

Con: Get stabbed
Pro: Probably escape getting shot

Con: Attract the attention of three more people
Pro: ... uh? ??? hu?? uhhh???

At a loss, Alex simply picked up his pace, then attempted to RUN John over in the least painful manner possible-- a very careful trampling-- but of course, this probably meant getting stabbed as well.

Alex had his moment of screaming before gaining his composure. The noise choked off in his throat and he quickly turned, tripped over his own feet, then scrambled to escape toward a nearby alleyway. There he saw a group of men standing-- but did that matter? Alex figured that a hooded man with a weapon in his hands was far more dangerous than a bunch of weird looking dudes. Alex picked up speed and planned on leaping over the trio if they didn't move out the way...

Of course, Alex realized how this looked-- like a giant predator beast was about to charge the three down-- hopefully they decided to flee rather than attack him. Hopefully.
