He said it because he knew it would resonate with you. Please, Rythian, don't let him work his way into your mind.
Of course he did. It's stories like these that I read about...

Honestly, if he's evil, I don't mind, though chances for redemption are good. Do we necessarily need to kill him or can we otherwise incarcerate or incapacitate him? Can we block his powers? Eliminates his means of using them? If it's mental we know someone who can create a mental block in him that is fixed to reality.
<Snipped quote by Valiance>
We need to kill him now while we have the best chance.
<Snipped quote by Valiance>
We need to strike when he's weak and vulnerable. If we wait for him to regain strength, we will maximize our losses; if we attack now, we have the greatest opportunity for success. If he did not want to plant doubt into our minds, he wouldn't have come by to warn us. This has to be the better option, because otherwise he would have said nothing.

It's okay. Let's just go.

Excuse me, purportedly all-powerful sir?
<Snipped quote by Valiance>
What's going on with him? He seems utterly disinterested in our presence. What a god.
<Snipped quote by Valiance>
Why state is that?
I'm really sorry for the slowness.
<Snipped quote by Valiance>
darn, I wish I knew what that man looked like
<Snipped quote by Valiance>
We shouldn't enter. If we enter, he may be able to sneak past us and get out.
