Bio

I joined 8 years ago now.

I enjoy pm rps, if anyone is interested. but I will do thread rps too.

I am into otome games. I enjoy rock music. I like reading.

My time zone is: EST

My fav. colors are: red, blue, pink, white, and black.

I am open for any rps.
However, I am not into rps that are strictly nation, horror, apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic, superhero, military, or sci-fi.
But I MAY give them a shot if they are mixed with another genre, like romance for example.

Alexander James Francis Maximillion Nightingale

Alexander had been gone for only a short time now, but others, guests mainly, were growing worried. What had happened? Was he truly busy? What could be going on. They had no idea, and they had no answers to any such questions. Anyway, the king had not responded to the princess before he left, mainly due to the fact that he simply had not heard her, which was accidental, as he walked off. Now, he was alone, and no one had followed after him, except for that maid, that servant. The king had yet to turn around and see her. He would walk down that corridor for a time longer before he stopped near a drawing room. He would go inside and attempt to close the door behind him. In truth, he faked being busy so that he would be alone. He found himself with a great need to be alone, to be isolated, even more so than before, and he was not sure exactly why. He had enjoyed the company of that princess for one reason or another, but when he heard her request.... something in him changed, and he was confused by it.

The king would sigh fairly often as he had a seat in a chair that was in the room. He reached over and lit a candle that was on a nearby table. His eyes would end up on the floor for a time, and soon he would be lost within his own thoughts, the room silent as no words were spoken. As he did so, the maid peaked her head inside, being very careful. She narrowed her eyes as she looked at him. He was very distracted, which she was glad for. She would stay to the shadows as she entered the room, and she would be as quiet as she could be as she made to approach him. She would be right behind him, right behind the chair he was seated in. He did not raise his head, not at that moment anyway. The maid took a deep, careful breath, and she pulled out a small bottle from her apron bottle. She noticed that he had a glass of water nearby.

The maid would sprinkle the powder into the water without the kings' knowledge. It would cause his magic to become highly unstable. He was certain to suffer from that, she thought. Anyway, she watched as the powder faded into the water and it could no longer be seen. Then, she made to quickly leave before the king finally raised his head and saw her. She was long gone by the time the king finally did so and gave a loud sigh. He reached for the water, clearly unaware of what had happened, and sipped from it. He froze when he noticed an odd taste when he took that sip. Suddenly, the shadows all around him were going crazy, growing more and more out of control. Alexanders' eyes went wide and he jumped from his chair, which was now suddenly fading from existence. He gasped upon seeing that.

"What in the great shadows is happening here?!"

The ground suddenly shook at that moment. He fell to the ground and suddenly found it difficult to get back up. There would be cries from guests in the ballroom when the ground also began to shake underneath their own feet. Fear could be seen and felt. What was going on?! What was happening?! Where was the king??

We never met, but welcome back.

I prefer 1x1 rps myself. Anyway, hopefully you'll have a good time here.

Alexander blinked. He frowned and found himself suddenly narrowing his eyes.

"I did no such thing, milady. I was simply continuing to be honest with you. In my realm, the shadows often reveal themselves, and magic can work in different ways, milady. We also CHOOSE what to see and what not to see. By the way... I hate it when I am accused of an action which I did not commit. I am not asking you to not be yourself, milady, but what I AM asking is to simply see it from my eyes, as I am sure you would ask the same of me. Am I correct in that?"

He found himself sighing again.

"I simply meant if they do not bother to know my full name, it can mean they do not care. If they do not care then they can be hard to trust, very hard indeed. The two feelings are not unrelated in this case, milady."

He nodded once. He took a breath before he spoke again, a quiet breath that is.

"I was simply asking you to be patient. I did not accuse you of severe impatience, milady. Please forgive me if that sounded as if I were."

Alexander heard her request. He felt odd at that moment. It was a strange, new feeling. What was it? He had not truly felt it before that moment and could not place his finger on it. Just what could this feeling be? It was certainly a negative feeling. Was he.... hurt? or perhaps he was.......sad? No. It seemed to be something else entirely. Anyway, the king managed a single, slow nod. When he spoke again, he spoke rather quietly.

"Very well then.........milady."

With that, he left her alone at that spot. Alexander was averting his gaze from her once more, and he did his best not to look at her while she desired to be alone. Women rushed up to him as he approached, but he waved them all away, causing sad looks and such all around. He glanced around at them all for a moment, and then cleared his throat before he addressed them all.

"Excuse me, esteemed guests. But I must take my leave at the moment. There is something I must do. Please continue to enjoy yourselves in my absence. I shall return soon."

With a single nod, he turned and made to leave the ballroom. The shadow that was his strained against him trying to walk off. It continued to stay connected to that of the princess. It was as if it were almost alive, and it did not wish to leave. Alexander would walk out the ballroom doors, trying his best not to show whatever it was that he was feeling, if he could ever figure out what it was. It was at this time that that maid followed after him. She had a rather angry look on her face, and she looked as if she were about to try and do something. No one noticed her though.

The maid was swift. She was quiet. She managed to stay that way as she followed after the king. Alexander would have normally noticed, but he was rather mentally distracted at the moment, for obvious reasons. The maid would see this as a perfect opportunity. She was going to have her revenge, or so she thought. She was going to make him pay for rejecting her like that, for making her miserable, or so she continued to think. This was a determined servant, or former servant if Alexander had noticed her or the look on her face or even the fact that she was following him like that.

Alexander sighed. He somehow had allowed himself to sigh yet again, and he had done so right in front of the princess... his chosen one. He glanced away for a time before he spoke.

"Ignoring things is a must for one such as myself. A royal must do whatever it takes to not just keep themselves sane, but to be rational and be a proper leader."

The king was not firm or anything when he said that, but he was not changing his mind on that anytime soon either. That much certainly seemed clear. It was also made obvious by the fact that he continued to ignore all those who had been staring at them during this time, especially up until they found a private spot to talk.

"The only things that cannot be ignored are the things that matter, the things that are truly important. I am certain you understand that much, milady."

Alexander did his best not to sigh once more. He continued to glance away as he kept speaking to her.

"Shadows guide myself, my people. Those are spirits that lead us above myself. The shadows have a life within them most do not see. It would appear you are among those others, those who do not see that as I do. There is more to our realms, and the magic that is held within them all, that meets the eye, milady. The sooner you see that, that you realize that, the better, or so I hope."

He took a careful breath and thought about what he was to say next as he made to continue speaking with her.

"These people, most if not all, have known me quite a long time. And yet.... most of them have yet to bother learning my name in full, let alone a lot of other details about myself. Loneliness is not a concern if one is more focused on other things, milady, and I HAVE given others a chance to know me, but they have failed...the entire lot of them. They have proven to not be trustworthy, milady."

He frowned.... again. Alexander was hesitant to look towards her, even if it was only for a moment.

"And it is such lies that further prove to me that I am justified in my current actions. Also, milady, I already have found someone, or so I hope. You shall find out soon enough....perhaps sometime tonight. You must be patient, please, milady."

It was then that he finally looked towards her. He was careful as he did so. He went quiet, if mainly to simply allow her a chance to respond further, to speak again. This king would not interrupt her, and would only speak when she was done, like before. He was showing her some respect, and so soon, it would seem. A servant passing by, keeping quiet so as not to bother them, narrowed her eyes as she watched. She did not like the look of that princess who was near him. But then again, she did not care for any of the women who were there to pursue him. She had been rejected simply for a single lie that was told to the king, and she vowed to get even... but that was not to happen that night, that evening. It, simply put, was not to happen just yet.
