Bio

I got into Roleplaying, er more specifically Post by Post Roleplaying around, I think it was four years ago? It feels much longer than that. My good friend whose now far too busy in college introduced me. He wanted by make a Mass Effect RP for his younger brother, or Cousin, something along those line. The games series was far to mature for someone of his age but he felt he could make a family friendly RP. And while that never panned out, I was hooked. Fast forward to the present day and I'm an avid RP and casual writer. I mainly prefer Fallout RPs, and am working on my own which will take place in the fictional Lore of Alaska. But it's far from ready. Between my laziness and my workload of various RPs and Videogames I am often rather busy. Yet I always find myself exceptionally bored. So I like contemplating Philosophical Conundrums.

Just keep in mind that things like magic et al are very big topics, with multiple facets to them, so rules and limitations with one set may not be the same with another.


That's why I left it vague just because of that. Plus if there's any issues anything I write is subject to change. So long as no one tries to re-write what Necromancy is or Teleportation to gain unreasonable effects. Like Teleportation now summons planets just crazy ridiculous things. That and I mentioned there are other forms of magic besides the basics I covered briefly. So if something doesn't fit with the way it is described it will just be a new magic type.
When you establish your background and skill set. Specialize. Don't be a jack of all trades and stick to your skills. Don't suddenly pull out a skill just because it's convenient for your character. An Assassin is almost always overpowered this is something on the RPers side as they assume that since they are a Ninja, Assassin or other powerful character in Hollywood mythos. So don't do that..

Real Assassins are weak against direct combat. However since they sneak around communicate all of your actions however minor they are to those you plan on interacting with. That way you know what limits you have and can keep others from calling you overpowered.

Once your skill set and background is made, stick with it.

@Fallenreaper I'll try and send you some lore regarding Uskriss' shamanistic magic system, and how his creation myth is still viable, in the light of the Greek Pantheon and all. Also S1GL's background, and Angel's relations with STRIKE.


I covered the shamanistic system but left it as vague as possible since I knew there was Uskriss. Hopefully there won't be any issues and if there are we'll work those out. I left a lot of openings so it should work with any magic type or hero one wants to use or create.

There are different types of magic that each user typically will only master one type of magic. The Arcane stream is the standard people like Merlin, Mages, Sorcerers all tap into it. The Arcane Stream is the magic of Merlin and other sorcerers that can be molded into various effects. The Beyond is the amalgamation of an realm of arcane energy that grasps several dimensions. Dimensional Planes are connected by magical leylines. Merlin uses wards and magical locations to stop dimensional bleeding. - Gowi

Shamans have spirit magics those that command or commune with nature and spirits. They'll form pacts with nature or bind them to their wills to wield the power of nature and the elements.

Witchcraft focuses on potions, brews, talismans and all sorts of incantations spells and hexes.

Beyond that are various other types of magics like Necromancy, Technomancy, Specific branches and whatnot. There are those with powers that mimic magic, and those all in between. Mostly as long as they don't change the basic principles like Necromancy controls the dead to say instead it allows one to control minds then I won't bother and consider it an alternate form of magic.
