Ah, I see. Don't worry about it. I won't ask you to slow yourself down if you're already time constrained. I guess I got confused and was under the impression that skirmishes with Bern would happen earlier. If need be I can probably create another character that's more likely to be travelling through the market. Since @SaveusY2J's Wyvern Knight is also from Bern, maybe we can have some interactions together?

I'm really sorry that I haven't gotten you a post yet. I'm not really sure what my character would be doing other than preparing to sortie. Until the armies march against each other, she's going to be stuck in Bern. (I can totally write up a post about her preparing to sortie if that's enough for you)

Free-form battles would be simpler, I think. With grid maps, I think you'd have a lot of faffing about getting into position or moving across the map. Also, we'd need to add a movement stat if we went with grids, right?

Personality: The only person she is truly strict with is her adoptive daughter. After all, the magic that Rosalie studies is as dangerous as any other weapon, and Céline is still far too young learn how to wield it. It isn’t as if she’ll let random people touch her books, but if a grown-ass man is going to put a curse on himself, then it’s his own fault. However, she’ll still help clean up any messes caused, with minimal to no outward griping. It’s not uncommon for people to come to her with magic related problems, with which she obligingly helps out, a little extra money here and there can go a long way. She does her best to exude an air of patience, especially around children.

She believes that the affairs of royals have little to do with her. After all, a different king just means a different name to send your taxes to. At least, that’s what she’s thought so far; she can only remember as far back as one previous king, but he kept the peace and let the common folk like her live quietly.

How did it come to this? You show a little skill in magic and suddenly the press-gangs are practically breaking down your door. Didn’t they have criminals they could be hounding instead? The grim-faced commander pushed a large tome into her hands as he marched down the line of mages. The air in the barracks sparked with excitement, the recruits around her ripe with anticipation. She wondered how many of them were “volunteers” like her, comforting themselves with the King’s promises of wealth and glory. She had little use for either, but Céline was a growing girl, and would need a nice bed of her own before too long. Besides, none of that would matter of Bern didn’t win the pissing-contest of a war, nor would it matter if Rosalie died, leaving Céline in the care of the church forever.

Alignment: Obeys the laws, but doesn’t have much to do with them otherwise. She just wants to live her life. (Neutral Good?)

Simple description: She dresses primarily for comfort and ease of movement. While she does keep some adornments, they are simple and relatively plain. She’s not a tall woman, only reaching around 5’1”. Once pressed into the Bern army, she was given a set of deep-green robes, but she only has to wear them during actual battles.

Yeah, I'll toss my interest in here as well. Although depending on how big you want your rp you already seem to have a lot of people willing to join.

My main concern, other than world building stuff that's already been brought up, is that the plot sounds very much like it's focused on a single character, with everyone else being the supporting cast.
