~The Huntress – Belle De' Fortesque~

~General Information~

Name (Fairy Tale World): Belle De' Fortesque.
Other Names (Fairy Tale World): The Huntress, Head Knight, King's Ward.
Real Name (Fairy Tale World): Isabella De' Fortesque; Princess of the Province.
Occupation (Fairy Tale World): Head Knight (Presently), Huntress (Presently).
Place Of Origin: Province; Fairy Tale World.
Age: Twenty-Four.
Affiliation (Fairy Tale World): True Neutral (Presently).

True Neutral (Presently) - * A true neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. She doesn’t feel strongly one way, or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil- after all, she would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, she’s not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run. Neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion.

~Personal Information~

Personality Traits: Depicted as brave, selfless, extremely resourceful and highly intelligent, Isabella has a very strong and independent survivalist instinct fueled by her difficult past causing her to be quite good at thinking outside the box. Very strong, often stubborn and unwittingly determined, Isabella will most times act first before asking questions later, the woman learning from her past that she needs to do whatever she can to survive though she has a base instinct to protect those who are weak and have no skills or methods in which to protect themselves. Usually a very logical person, Isabella sometimes has trouble controlling her emotions when things become quite stressful around her. Unlike most who are forced into surviving on their own, Isabella is not a natural born healer, becoming quite squeamish and reluctant when it comes to tending her own and the wounds of others around her, instead choosing to focus on things that she deems more important such as: hunting, gathering, tracking and fighting. Nevertheless, she knows the basics of first aid, including how to clean and dress a wound to keep it from getting infected and in turn the person getting worse over time.

A fiercely determined and resourceful fighter, Isabella is easily underestimated by those who stand against her and almost always finds herself in some sort of disagreement with those in positions of authority, using her own resources when it comes to getting through life, showing that she has the true instincts of a survivor. Though seeming confident and calm in most situations she is forced into, Isabella has a nasty habit of biting her nails whenever she gets nervous or anxious, sometimes having to force and consciously stop herself from doing so when she is in the company of others. In addition to her issues when it comes to trusting others around her, Isabella is not always socially adept and most times has a hard time making friends due to the emotional strain on her life, the memories of which sometimes make her come across as cold to those around her; though this is more concerned with the responsibility she has for her position in the royal household rather than with being social, making her awkward around people.

Though at times she can be rather blunt and bitingly cynical; Isabella has a very passionate side which she only shows around Gaston in the privacy of his chambers, though in the company of others she has a maternal instinct which tends to kick in more than she would like. Not very good at acting for the camera so to say, Isabella comes across best when she is just being herself, however more stressful situations seem to cause her emotions to flair and to overrule her better judgement. With an absolute hatred for games played by those trying to trying to hurt her and those around her, Isabella has a detestation for being used as a "pawn" and dislikes having the weight of her old title weighing down on her shoulders knowing that there's nothing she can do about it now.

Strengths: Known throughout the Fairy Tale World to be both highly skilled and exceedingly intelligent in not only archery, but also in both tracking and hunting; Isabella does all that she can to continue adding to her already quite impressive skill set- the years passing by helping her to become experienced in other area's such as both fishing and trapping while out on a hunt, while her experience with wielding and throwing blades gives her a higher expertise when finishing off a wounded prey animal; her time spent growing up under the care and ever watchful eyes of both Clayton and Gaston, showing both herself and those around her that she is exceptionally skilled at throwing her blades- giving the indication that she also holds the skill to throw most, if not all projectile weapons, however she has not looked too far into this skill.

Also seen to be not only an extremely skilled tree-climber, but also an exceptionally fast runner; Isabella is known to have amazing reflexes, especially when it comes to handling weapons such as a bow and arrow- her great speed and excellent flexibility allowing her to be able to draw an arrow, and strike down several targets in a quick succession of time; spending quite a bit of her time out in the forests on hunts, she has also taken the time in life to educate herself on each edible, medicinal, and highly poisonous plant life- the young woman able to correctly identify almost all flora within the Fairy Tale World; her knowledge in many area's also helping to give her a highly skilled sense of woodcraft.

Weaknesses: -

Magic Capabilities:
Although she lives in a world where magic runs deep, and has met people in the Fairy Tale World who possess magic; Isabella herself possesses no magical abilities or qualities, however she has never attempted to see whether or not she is capable of such feats of magic- the young huntress instead relying on both her intelligence and skill set to get her where she needs to be, rather than relying on magic like others that she has met in the past.

Weapons:
-

Known to be not only an expert swordsman and blades-man, but also a highly skilled archer; Gaston's weapon of choice will always depend on the task that is presented before him, whether this be something as simple as hunting in the forests surrounding Province, or something more serious as fighting against another who proves to be a worthy opponent- along with his skills with a blade and a bow; Gaston also shows promise with other weapons such as a mace, throwing knives, and a lance- however these are not his preferred weapons of choice, the King more than happy to choose a sword, or a bow an arrow whenever given the choice.

Biography (Before Earth):
Born into and brought up under the warm and loving care of her family; Isabella grew up an exceedingly caring and intelligent young girl, not only loved by all those who knew and met her, but also extremely close to her twin brother, Phillip- the two of them as thick as thieves and practically inseparable, almost always being found within each others company; whether it be finding themselves wandering into trouble, or just enjoying each others company by the fireplace in their mother's library. However, as the evil that had begun to accumulate and spread throughout the lands, her parents did all that they could to stand up against Maleficent and those who gave her their loyalty; their defiance eventually forcing the Dark Queen's hand and causing her to send her knights after the royal family, sending their lives spiraling down and out of their control.

Forced to do nothing else but hide and stay quiet; Isabella watched on in helpless silence as both her mother and father were struck down in their prime before her very eyes, the young Princess too terrified to leave the place in which her mother had hid her, and to search out and learn the fate of her beloved brother- found hours later by none other than Gaston, both completely alone and absolutely terrified, she quickly sought out for comfort within her childhood friends arms, the young man all too willing to give her the care that she both wanted and needed. Searching out for and seeking the guidance of his father on what was to happen to the young girl; Isabella was quickly taken in as the new Kings young ward, raised alongside Gaston under the care and training of the King himself, the young girl soon growing into a beautiful and confident young woman- though the once sweet and innocent young child, now striking fear into the hearts of the people of Province.

Biography (Life On Earth):
Due to being taken in and raised after the gruesome murder of her family, as not only a ward, but also as a Knight and a huntress under the ever watchful eye and guidance of both Clayton, and his son Gaston; Isabella never had the chance to go to Earth- the young woman continuing to live within the castle; staying and serving out her duties under Gaston, the new King of Province.

~Other Information~

Other: Whenever she unable to be found on a hunt, or when she no longer has any duties to perform for her title as Head Knight; Isabella is more times than none found within the castles library which was gifted to her mother long before her and her brother were born- the young woman not only having read many of the books that it holds, but she is also able to recall information from those in which she has indeed read, whenever she is asked to do so.

There has only ever been one job in which she has never been able to complete, unable to find it within her heart to go through with just what it was that was being asked of her- the huntress choosing to allow the young woman to run free from her wrath, rather than killing her on the spot; and instead provided the Queen who had hired her services with the heart of a stag that she had hunted down.

~Master Hunter – Gaston Le' Gume~

~General Information~

Name (Fairy Tale World): Gaston Le' Gume.
Other Names (Fairy Tale World): Rourke, Master Hunter, King of Province.
Real Name (Fairy Tale World): Gaston Rourke Le' Gume; King of the Province.
Occupation (Fairy Tale World): King of the Province, Master Hunter.
Place Of Origin: Province; Fairy Tale World.
Age: Twenty-Nine.
Affiliation (Fairy Tale World): Neutral Evil (Presently).

Neutral Evil (Presently) - * A neutral evil character does whatever she can get away with. She is out for herself, pure and simple. She sheds no tears for those she kills, whether for profit sport, or convenience. She has no love of order and holds no illusion that following laws, traditions, or codes would make her any better or more noble. On the other hand, she doesn’t have the restless nature or love of conflict that a chaotic evil character has. Some neutral evil characters hold up evil as an ideal, committing evil for its own sake. Most often, such characters are devoted to evil deities, or secret societies. Neutral evil beings consider their alignment to be the best because they can advance themselves without regard for others.

~Relationship Information~

Relationship Status: Single.
Partner: None.
Father: King Clayton Le' Gume (Deceased).
Mother: Queen Narissa Le' Gume (Deceased).
Siblings: None.
Pet/s: Due to the grief of losing his father to unknown circumstances on an expedition, Gaston passionately despises what he hunts, however has a deep fascination with rare and interesting animals, choosing to keep a small but personal collection.
Other: Isabella De' Fortesque (Ward; Head Knight).

~Personal Information~

Personality Traits: Shown in rare times to be an understanding, reasonable and kind man, Gaston Le' Gume is most often or not seen as funny, mischievous and in most cases as slightly immature, choosing to act childish in most situations rather than as the serious King he is supposed to be. Learning from a young age how to hunt and kill creatures of all kinds, Gaston unlike most children around him was raised like a warrior, the young man never once resenting his upbringing preferring the life of a hunter rather than the every day "apple pie" lifestyle of those around him. Known for his rather luede humor and sexual innuendos, the young King is extremely flirtatious and tends to use a "seductive purr" when conversing with women who seem able to catch his eye. Typically avoiding emotional intimacy, Gaston prefers to engage with women he only see's as sexual partners, the womanizing male only ever having one woman in his sights to whom he really shows any emotional attachments to, becoming jealous and sometimes violent to any if not all males he catches touching, talking or even so much as looking at the young and capable woman in his charge.

Though never showing it to any who aren't considered as close as family, Gaston values the safety and progression of his Kingdom and it's people above anything else, even going so far as to side with those he considers enemies or sacrificing his own life in order to keep things from going down a path he deems to be the wrong one. Willing to do whatever it takes to make sure he gets what he want's he is unafraid to use methods or to search out items that others would not normally take into consideration. Typically very ruthless and extremely aggressive when he is hunting, such a task in which he approaches quite enthusiastically, Gaston is the more merciless of all those living within the Fairy Tale World. However, despite all that, he is capable of acknowledging when he has gone too far, even when seeing the world around him as more like black and white. Due to the grief of losing his father to unknown circumstances on an expedition, Gaston passionately despises what he hunts and is prepared to kill without question more often than not, unlike most of the hunters under his rule.

Despite his unwelcome traits seen by all around him, Gaston is very laid-back and well-disposed when he is not on a hunt or having to deal with the stressful situations that seem to arise when King, valuing the safety of those he sees as family above all else. Though while on occasion he can be somewhat impulsive as well as arrogant, Gaston is both extremely intelligent and quite competent, and is more likely to exhibit his irrational behavior when those he loves are threatened. However underneath his seeming arrogance and self-righteousness, Gaston does on occasion show signs of self-loathing and insecurity, and is always quick to blame himself when things to wrong, regardless of whether or not he is actually to blame. Even though Gaston keeps himself in excellent physical condition, he is well known for his poor eating habits, choosing more often or not to feast on greasy, fattening or otherwise unhealthy foods while rejecting and dismissing others such as salads, in which he tends to refer to as "rabbit food". Enjoying the uncomplicated things in life, such as good food and music, Gaston almost constantly displays some level of humorous behavior, and frequently makes light of tough situations; though he sometimes appears foolish due to this habit, this seems to merely be his way of dealing with stress put on him.

Strengths: Seen and known through Province to be an expert sword fighter; Gaston is a swift and precise swordsman and blades-man, known to dart out of the way of his opponents' attacks, and immediately counterattack without any wasted movement- however he also, by no means, is lacking in physical strength either; able to not only ward off blows from strong and aggressive opponents, but to also hold his own in a fight against them- his proficiency with a sword and other blade allowing him to defeat several opponents at once, though he is also seen to be quite capable of throwing the weapon accurately, and with quite deadly precision. In addition to his skills with a blade; Gaston is also shown to be extremely resilient when it comes to his training- showing promise with several other weapons such as: a mace, throwing knives, and a lance; however these are not his preferred weapons of choice.

Known throughout the Fairy Tale World as being a master hunter; Gaston is both highly skilled and extremely intelligent when it comes to both archery and hunting, the king's experience with wielding and throwing blades helping him greatly when finishing off his wounded prey animal- the many years passing him by giving him the time and opportunity to expand on, and keep his skills sharp while doing all that he could to teach everything that he knew, and had learnt in his past to his second in command, Isabella; and while he is seen to be quite agile when it comes to his field, his slightly bulkier figure has made his reflexes only slightly slower than that of his huntress- though he is still able to shoot an arrow from a distance, and while it might take him a little longer, he is excellent and capable enough to hunt, defend himself, and to have earned himself the title that he so proudly wears.

Weaknesses: -

Magic Capabilities:
While living, working and dealing with many people in the Fairy Tale World who possess magic; Gaston himself possesses no magical ability or qualities, however he has also never tried to see whether he is capable of such feats- the King preferring to use his own pure strength and skill, rather than relying on feats of magic.

Weapons:
Known to be not only an expert swordsman and blades-man, but also a highly skilled archer; Gaston's weapon of choice will always depend on the task that is presented before him, whether this be something as simple as hunting in the forests surrounding Province, or something more serious as fighting against another who proves to be a worthy opponent- along with his skills with a blade and a bow; Gaston also shows promise with other weapons such as a mace, throwing knives, and a lance- however these are not his preferred weapons of choice, the King more than happy to choose a sword, or a bow an arrow whenever given the choice.

Brief Biography (Life In The Fairy Tale World):
-

Brief Biography (Life On Earth):
Becoming the only Prince of Province when his father, Clayton Le' Gume, was crowned King; Gaston did all that he could to help his father raise Isabella, while working hard to become the future ruler that his father always wanted him to become- as such, he not only never made it to Earth; he is completely unaware that such a place even exists.

~Other Information~

Other: Though known around the Fairy Tale World for sleeping with many a woman who manage to catch his eye, Gaston has an extreme soft spot and special place in his heart for Isabella- the King oftentimes becoming exceeding jealous, and sometimes even dangerously violent whenever he catches men talking, touching, or even so much as looking in her direction; already having come to the conclusion in his mind, and in his heart, that she will one day become his wife- however he speaks of his plans for their future to no-one, not even her.

~Little Lion – Simba Lionhart~

Name: Mwoga.
Other Names: Prince of The Pride Lands, The One True King, Little Lion.
Real Name: Simba Lionhart.
Age: 20.
Occupation: None.

Appearance - Thirteen Years Ago (Age Seven):

Appearance - Today (Age Twenty):

Personality Traits:
As a child, Simba was a very curious, adventurous and almost foolishly brave young man, always looking for something fun to do. He was exceptionally energetic and rambunctious, turning even the scariest of places into a fun adventure. Feeling like he always had something to prove to his father, Simba would sometimes throw himself into dangers way for no reason other than proving his bravery where his arrogance, mischievous and cheeky attitude often times got him into a lot of trouble. Born a royal, he was brought up knowing that one day he would be king and reveled in the knowledge that one day he would rule everything, looking forward to the day when he could order around his subjects. Despite his rather pompous attitude, Simba also had a good heart and longed to become the wise king that he saw his father as and hoped that one day he could become just like him, feeling absolutely beside himself any time he managed to disappoint his father.
However, everything about Simba changed when he witnessed his Uncle murder his father in cold blood.

Suffering from severe emotional trauma, blaming himself for his father's murder, Simba became withdrawn and depressed, no longer putting value in his own life. It took a few years of isolation outside of The Pride Lands for him to forget about his past and move on with his life. Over the years Simba picked up a happy, carefree lifestyle, thinking nothing of his responsibilities back home. He developed somewhat grotesque habits such as burping and eating bugs, becoming sedentary and stubbornly refuting of his past life. Years of isolation made him no longer see the need to help others (humans), preferring to lock himself away in bliss with his animal friends rather than face the harsh reality of day-to-day life in civilization. Any time he is reminded of his past, Simba is quick to become defensive and oftentimes has bouts of anger that isn't directed towards anyone but himself, but ends up hurting others anyway making him feel more guilty than before.

Skills:
Simba is incredibly fit and athletic, making the mundane tasks of day to day life fairly easy on him as well as harder tasks such as lifting and throwing heavy objects, scaling difficult terrain such as rock walls and steep inclines, and running great distances without tiring almost second nature. He's got a powerful second wind so long as he can control his energy though he can't always depend on it. He's very proficient and can fend for himself in almost any part of the world so long as he has the means to make tools for his survival.

One of the more unique skills Simba possesses is a particular gift he was given at the young age of seven years old. On his right palm lay a scar in the shape of a lion cub that when near any living, breathing animal, glows a soft blue color alerting Simba that he is near someone who he can bond with. This bond gives Simba the ability to enter the mind of an animal and control it's actions, though controlling the animal is much easier to do if a bond has already been created and strengthened over time. The animals harder to bond with are those of their own strong will, such as lions, leopards, crocodiles and so on, as the easier ones such as jack rabbits, birds, and hippos have a lesser mind and though may not be able to hold as good as a conversation as the others, are easier to control. The interaction between Simba and the animal he is currently bonding with will influence both personalities, for example Simba will take on the characteristics of a lion (such as a true roar) while the lion in turn could have a hankering for some fruit rather than meat. This gift has only been tried on animals, as Simba has not yet had the opportunity to test it on another human being.

Simba can reach out his mind to bond with animals he has already created a link with, and can converse with them over large distances; the stronger their link, the further they can communicate. So long as this bond is in effect, Simba can see, feel, taste, hear, smell everything the animal can; as if his soul and the animals soul have become one being. If the animal in which he is bonding with is killed, Simba feels the pain and is forced back into his own mind where the traumatic experience of death will remain in his mind though only 'true death' can be achieved is if Simba is completely and fully within his own mind at the time of the strike.

Biography (Before Earth):
Born the first and only child of King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi, Simba was brought up in a very rich, provided-for life, never having to want for anything. He was a curious young boy, always wanting to soak up any and all information he could as well as trying to walk in his father's every footsteps so that one day he could become a great King like him. At the age of seven, Simba was put into his father's army to begin his training; the age in which all eligible boys were able to join. At first Simba was excited; he yearned to learn how to fight and defend himself, not to mention the War General was his very own Uncle Scar who he looked up to considerably. But then everything changed when Simba stumbled upon a meeting between Uncle Scar and a few other of the higher ups, planning the murder of The King - Simba's father. Frightened and unable to understand his Uncle's reasoning, Simba returned home to tell Mufasa everything he had overheard, giving the King plenty of time to prepare for Scar's attack. True to their plan, Scar did indeed attempt to take over the castle but Mufasa was ready and Uncle Scar was apprehended and put into an isolated prison.

A feast was held in Simba's honor that night, but Simba didn't feel very heroic. His Uncle had betrayed his trust, something the seven-year-old boy couldn't quite comprehend but to keep from disappointing his father, he put on a face and tried to enjoy the festivities anyway. His father's Shaman, Rafiki, called the attention to the room to bestow the young prince with a gift; a blessing. After Mufasa's approval, Rafiki approached Simba and took both of Simba's hands in his own. The Shaman murmured a few things which Simba did not understand completely, but being taught the ancient language of his people he was able to pick out a few choice words such as 'blessing' 'hope' and 'life.' Something changed in Simba then, a slight tickling feeling in his palm which forced the young prince to look at his hand. A wash of blue light encased his entire palm and with a sudden flash of white light it had all disappeared, but in it's stead was a scar in the shape of a lion cub that seemed to pulse with an energy that he did not understand.

Over the next couple of months, Rafiki took it upon himself to teach Simba the ways of life, how everything was connected and about the gift that he had since bestowed upon him; the ability to bond. His training with Rafiki was cut off short, however, when one night as Simba was sneaking about to play in the halls of his castle, he caught the shadow of a hulking figure heading towards his father's throne room. Curious, Simba followed. Catching up to the shadow, he realized suddenly that it was his Uncle Scar, who had since been banished from The Pride Lands but Simba said nothing, trusting that his Uncle had been invited so that he and his father could work things out and everything could be the way it was before. But he was wrong. Watching from the shadows, like the coward he realized he was, he saw his father fall as Uncle Scar withdrew the blade from his ribs. His mother was screaming, begging for mercy but Simba didn't stick around any longer to see what happened. He ran, and he never stopped.

Thirteen years later, Simba now has a very comfortable, isolated life on the outskirts of the Pride Lands where he has very little contact with other humans. He has made a series of friends over the years, his first and best friend, a red warthog named Pumba (who he had learned about through his bonding skill) provided to be a constant companion, as he and Pumba had very much in common with having deserted their families and their near-constant companion Timone. Simba has a deep connection with all the land around him, but more specifically it's wildlife. He only hunts when he has to, and only animals of which he hasn't already bonded with (mostly fish and other small-game) and has no plans of returning home to see what has become of his home or his family, constantly blaming himself for his father's ultimate death.

Biography (Life On Earth):
Simba never went to Earth, and has no idea the place even exists.

Other:
Simba wears a ring on a necklace, a gift he received as a child from his mother with his name inscribed on the inside as well as the name of his father and mother, all interconnected in what his mother calls 'the circle of life'. He wears it to this day as a reminder that everything has it's beginning and everything has it's end, but the time in-between is entirely up to him.

Chaotic Good (Presently) - * A chaotic good character acts as her conscience directs her with little regard for what others expect of her. She makes her own way, but she’s kind and benevolent. She believes in goodness and right but has little use for laws and regulations. She hates it when people try to intimidate others and tell them what to do. Other: Jas Nedakh (Uncle; Presumed Deceased).

~Personal Information~

Personality: Seen by the surviving natives of Atlantis to be not only a fiercely independent, but also an extraordinary and quite calculating young woman; Kidagakash is known to be exceedingly polite and generally well-spoken to all those of whom she considers to be both her friends and her family; still quite very young by Atlantean standards (only considered to be a teenager)- Kida, while filled with her own strong determination to not only keep her people alive, but to also keep her lost culture thriving; showing much pride and confidence in her skills as Queen of the lost city. While still severely naive of the new world resting just outside the safety of her home, Kidagakash has shown herself to be an extremely intelligent person, even from quite the young age; quick to understand that while she may not like what it is that lays beyond Atlantis, she is free to pursue her own path by leading her people to a better future; however, not wanting to bring danger on those she loves, she remains weary and takes it upon herself to keep the only entrance to her world safe and concealed from outsiders who dare stray too close for her liking.

Taking after her mother, Callista, when it comes to her kindness and consideration towards those around her; Kidagakash is often deeply sympathetic to those she perceives as being oppressed, although her pent up frustration from many years protecting and caring for the people of Atlantis on her own have made her quite capable of being utterly ruthless against those she perceives as oppressing others. An extremely brave and exceedingly resourceful young woman; Kida does what she must, and often proves herself over and over to be as fearless as any man, and oftentimes just as skilled (if not better) a warrior than most that come up against her in a fight- her years of isolation in the crumbling ruins of the city helping to make her dangerously aggressive towards any and all that she believes poses a threat towards her people; the young Atlantean showing that she is unafraid to threaten, and even attack those that she believes is a danger to Atlantis, and all of those who live within it- and while she was initially horrified when she took her first life, Kidagakash’s upbringing, mixed with her sheer determination has helped to harden her heart, making it easier for her to kill without remorse.

While Kidagakash is seen to be both demanding and ruthless towards those whom she perceives to be her enemies, she has always shown to reciprocate the devotion of those who follow and support her in her rule with nothing more than both pure gratitude, and never-wavering compassion; an exceptionally energetic young woman, Kida is often both overly eager and full of life, and while her heart is most times in the right place, her curiosity tends to find her walking into situations that are considered to be quite dangerous, leading her into trouble with the Royal advisers more often than she would like- and even as a child, her thirst for adventure and fierce-tempered nature helped her to show others that she was one who was never truly going to be constrained by simple social aspects such as gender roles, courtly virtues, class distinctions, and the expectations set to her by those of the court, her teenage rebellion towards her advisers causing her to refuse their suggestions about taking on a King, and supplying the city with an heir to the throne; the young and slightly tomboyish child never truly aspiring to be the ‘proper lady’ that her parents had hoped for, instead (more times than none) finding herself compared and taking after her uncle’s example rather than that of her mother and father.

Also known to be both tremendously stubborn and quite standoffish; Kidagakash is mostly mistrusting, and exceedingly suspecting of strangers and other outsiders who manage to wander too close to the lost city in which she rules over- though once she believes and deems a person worthy to be a friend or one of her people, she places her undying loyalty and ever growing trust within them, the young woman willing to put her life on the line in the name of fighting for and defending those that she loves; leaving her blissfully free of both preconceptions or notions regarding those in which she meets. An exceptionally lively child before the catalyst, Kidagakash’s virtue and spirited indifference to the rules always seemed to be able to make those around her smile; however, the devastating event that rained down upon her and her people tore her world apart before her very eyes, shattering her innocence, and destroying any family that she had left at her side- nevertheless, despite the nightmares of her past, Kida continues to poses a quite bubbly and light-hearted demeanor; giving her that small spark of life that gives her the ability to defuse most any tension within a situation.

Strengths: An exceeding skilled fighter due to being brought up surviving within a lost civilization; Kida is considered to be Atlantis’ most exceptionally skilled warrior, showing both an outstanding acrobatic affinity, as well as a lethal fighting style which has made it easy for her to overpower several opponents with ease- both not only an exceptionally great leader, but also a great strategist- a very keen observer, her exceptionally strong warrior instinct, coupled with the centuries past of surviving among Atlantis’ various fauna have made her incredibly keen to detail; often allowing her to be able to catch things that most others would simple brush off and pass by.

Eager to learn anything that is presented to her however; Kidagakash, taking after her father and much like many of the other Atlanteans, is able to absorb new information about various different cultures at an exceedingly rapid pace, and as such is considered to be a master linguist within Atlantis, knowing multiple languages from all over the world, and able to adapt to differences in culture and even different societies with enough conversation in regards the subject. An extremely skilled hunter and gatherer; often taking it upon herself to scavenge within the jungles and in the outside world in search for additional food and resources- Kidagakash is a true warrior Princess, known and seen in the eyes of her people as the finest protector of Atlantis; however at the same time, Kida has a keen understanding of politics, and continues to develop her natural and strong leadership skills while doing her best to be the strong-willed Queen her people need her to be.

Weaknesses: While a kind and just leader to her people; Kidagakash's many years of isolation protecting the crumbling ruins of the city, and making sure that her people continue to survive have made her not only extremely violent and ruthless, but also dangerously aggressive towards all and any that she believes poses a threat towards Atlantis and its people; the young Queen unafraid to threaten and attack first, and ask questions later if she believes that they are a danger to those in which she loves- her tremendously stubborn and standoffish tendencies causing her to be exceedingly distrusting and suspecting of strangers and other outsiders who find themselves wandering too close to the lost city in which the warrior Princess rules over; whether this be by accident, or on purpose, the young woman rarely ever giving them time to explain themselves or their actions.

Magic Capabilities:
Like all other Atlanteans before her; Kidagakash was gifted with a small, blue crystal fragment at birth- just a small part of the heart of Atlantis, otherwise known as The Mother Crystal and considered to be not only the great power, but also the very life source of Atlantis, which bestows its powers upon the Atlanteans it deems to be worthy of wielding its magic; the crystal itself granting the holder the ability to heal wounds of any kind, depending on the severity of them.

* Kidagakash's more impressive ability however, is her extremely strong and mental connection with the heart of Atlantis itself, and her capability to permanently bond with it to become a single entity- the crystal mixed with her Royal blood causing her to become one of the strongest beings alive, and nearly completely undefeatable while in this state; nonetheless, even while under the includence of the heart, Kidagakash is acutely aware of everything going on around her both past, present, and future- her telepathic connection with the crystal allowing her the gift of prophetic abilities.

Weapons:
Spending much of her childhood under the influence and guidance of her beloved uncle; Kidagakash pushed herself to the limits, honing the skills that he taught her as a fighter each and everyday, working with weapons of all kinds; ranging from the swords and daggers that her uncle used to give her on her day of birth, to the spears and yari in which she uses to hunt, and to protect the city from danger- the young Queen hoping that one day all of her hard work, and training to maintain and sharpen her skills, will help to make her lost uncle proud of the woman and warrior she has become.

Brief Biography (Life In The Fairy Tale World):
Known to all as both extremely curious and overly adventurous by nature; Kidagakash always seemed to find herself walking into the clutches of danger, or managing to stumble her way into trouble, which in turn always led her into gaining a lot of attention from those around her- more times than none, unwanted and unneeded, and usually ending with her at the receiving end of one of her father's lectures on how she should properly and responsibly act as the only Princess of Atlantis. However, choosing to defy him again by leaving her family home in search of her lost uncle when she shouldn't have, her actions eventually led her further from his sight and protection than she had ever been before- the great catalyst striking the grand city in its prime, causing nothing but panic and chaos to spread through the people as they desperately tried to escape the devastation that was befalling Atlantis.

Struggling against the mass of crowds that were doing all they could to get away; Kidagakash stumbled about the city while desperately searching for signs of either of her parents; however as the Mother Crystal took control to save as much of the city as it could, she found herself trapped within the ruins along with the rest of the survivors, and with a heavy heart due to the pain and knowledge that she had just lost everything that she had ever had and loved within her live. Presumed dead and figure of legend to the rest of the Fairy Tail World, no one knows exactly what has become of Kidagakash Nedakh- the lost city of Atlantis fading away, and becoming nothing more than a myth for all to enjoy.

Brief Biography (Life On Earth):
Due to being separated from her father, and lost during the catalyst along with the rest of the city of Atlantis; Kidagakash never had the chance, nor the opportunity to be sent to Earth with the other children.

~Other Information~

Other: Like all Atlanteans before her; Kidagakash was presented with an extremely beautiful and unique crystal necklace at birth, and continues to wear it each and every single day, they young woman choosing to never take it off- a symbol of the lost culture, and a strong link to the heart of Atlantis; the power source which has helped to keep the people of Atlantis alive for all of time.

Like most Atlanteans before her, and as a sign of her Royal blood; Kidagakash has proudly been marked with a traditional tattoo of her people and lost culture- consisting of two curved lines and a single circle, bright blue in color, they sit upon her left cheek just under her eye where all may see.

Evelyn Hyde, Heather Jekyll and Kaeden Liddell

World Without Color ~ London

That bastard… He was going to pay for this. Of course he was going to make him doing something like he was- he knew it, he just knew it… Okay, so, in reality, he didn’t actually know what it was that was going to be asked of him. He had agreed to the deal the moment he had caught sight of his sister’s key, knew that he would do anything as long as he was able to have even the smallest bit of her there with him… but this was going too far, and it far hurt worse than what he believed having his head chopped clean off would have done… Hunching his shoulders over as he walked, Kaeden scrunched up his face, doing what he could to deal with the pain that was coursing through his body at what it was he had done not hours ago… The hat- Jefferson’s hat… Lifting one of his hands up, he let his fingers brush delicately over the rim of it, making sure that it was safe and secure upon his head, though it only ever brought him the tiniest bit of comfort…

It was proof… proof that he had really lost him, lost his brother and his niece. Jefferson and Grace- they were gone, just like Alice and Elizabeth were. He was alone, completely and utterly alone in this world, with nothing but small trinkets to remind him of the life he once lived, a life when he had been happy… Yelling out in frustration towards himself for letting all that slip through his fingers, he shoved his hand back into his pocket, his foot kicking at the ground sending several small rocks flying ahead of him along the path, the lack of color before his very eyes causing him to lift his head and look about the world that he had come to… the world that Rumpelstiltskin had sent him to, and for what? Some chick… If the guy wanted a woman, then he was sure that there were ones that were closer to home that he could take for his own… granted they didn’t run screaming for their lives first that was…

Fumbling around in his pocket, he pulled out a small bit of parchment with very few details on it- a name and an address. Very helpful when one was going to a world that they had never been to before… What did the bastard think was going to happen? He was going to pop out of the hat right in front of the mansion if he gave him the address? Even he knew that the hat didn’t work that way, things weren’t that convenient. Shaking his head as he shoved the thoughts out of his mind, he glanced back down at the parchment once more, his eyes flicking over the curly though neat writing that made up the name of the woman he was after; Heather Jekyll.

Hardly anyone walked the dark and bitterly cold streets of London, despite the street lamps that lit the streets when the moon was hidden behind the clouds... many were hiding away in their buildings in fear of one infamous woman. They hid in fear of Evelyn Hyde. Rumors had spread throughout the streets of her strange beauty that managed to strike fear into the hearts of those she met. Nobody knew much of Evelyn Hyde except that she always disappeared in Jekyll's home after appearing every night.

What nobody knew was that Jekyll and Hyde were one and the same woman...

As of now, Evelyn prowled through the shadows smirking as she heard the police clamor in the distance. She giggled to herself quietly and maniacally to herself as kept walking towards Jekyll's house. Even now, Evelyn could hear Heather panic inside her head, like a frail little butterfly trying to escape from a spider's web "You killed her....You killed her!!! How could you?!!"

Evelyn's smirk widened and she thought back, answering Jekyll "Correction, my dear doctor, we killed her. And we loved it!" Evelyn could feel in her mind that Jekyll was just trembling in fright and guilt. She kept herself quiet though as she continued slinking through the shadows, never minding the blood that coated her mouth, and the front, and her hands. She had torn that woman apart, like a predator would tear apart prey. The images were still in Evelyn's and Heather's minds. Evelyn reveled in the experience while Heather shuddered in fright.

What had Heather done...? ...Maybe calling for some wizard to help her was a stupid idea after all. Maybe her only solution now was to kill herself when she had the chance.

This was stupid! Absolutely stupid! How the hell was he supposed to find this place? No one was even answering their doors when he knocked and asked for help. The night was going to be a long one, and he was already tired of this crap. He just wanted to go home… go back to the Enchanted Forest, sit by the fire back at the hideout, and just be by himself… He had already done enough for that tyrant, but a deal was a deal… he was going to finish this no matter how much of a pain in the ass challenge it was, “How the hell am I supposed to find this chick if no one in this damn place is going to help me out… Seriously, he is going to hear about this when I get back…”

Slowing to a stop underneath the light of one of the streetlamps, he looked around where he stood, trying to get good sense of where the hell he was, and where it was that he was supposed to be going in the first place. The world without color… He hated it already, maybe even worse than Wonderland- no that wasn’t true… Wonderland had become the bane of his existence, it was home, but without his family, he despised the place completely. Turning his attention back to the parchment for the third time since he had arrived, he groaned slightly, he was never going to find this place, never going to find this chick… and if he did, it was probably going to take him days. “Useless… This is a complete waste of my time…”

The lamp that was lit above Kaeden suddenly flickered and then went out, leaving him in pitch black darkness. Strange and chilling purr like breathing could be heard nearby, before a woman's voice spoke up in wicked glee and curiosity, as though it found a new toy to play with, "Hmmm... What do we have here? A lost little lamb in London, I see..." The voice laughed wickedly as the source of the voice circled and seemed to be thinking of very wicked and evil things.

Unable to stop himself from snorting out a laugh as he shoved his hand back into the depths of his pocket, he rolled his eyes, his body turning until he was facing the dark shadow that he could make out as a woman, “Oh yeah baby, cause you know… baa.”

Shaking his head softly from side to side, he chuckled, his feet carrying him a couple of steps closer to her so that the gap wasn’t that big between them. Well, he had been sent to this drab place in search of some chick, and he had found some chick… okay, so maybe she had found him, but what was the difference? Tilting his head to the side slightly, he raised his eyebrow, his dark orbs flicking up and down her appearance, not bothering to hide the fact that he was checking her out, though he knew that nothing was going to come of it, he was still healing from the last relationship he had been in…

“You know, I’ll be your lamb, if you’re going to be my Mary- if not, I don’t have time for your games love; so much to do, so little time… and unless you’re on my list, I gotta be going… Sorry, just how it is.”

The figure circled him, until his back was faced towards the wall of a nearby building. After she made sure of that, she stopped and grinned, showing a Cheshire cat like grin as she purred wickedly "Stupid little lamb... your folly will cost you dear... my dear," She then rushed towards him, pushing him back to the wall, and had her arms raised, hands resting on the wall besides the stranger, preventing him from escaping from her clutches. She grinned evilly, allowing him to see her horrifying form covered in blood, her eyes completely black, and nails as sharp as claws. What was before him wasn't just some woman...but a human monster.

She wickedly laughed "Time to die, dear little lamb!"

“Without enjoying one last cup of tea..? How monstrous of you… You know, you could give the Queen of Hearts a run for her money.” Bringing his arms up from his sides, he crossed them over his chest lazily, his back resting softly against the cold brick wall behind him. If this woman wanted to play and waste more of his time, then that was fine by him. He could stand to hang about this world for a little longer, especially if he was going to get a meal for his trouble.

“If you want to kill me, that’s fine. I really couldn’t care less to be honest with you- but the least you could do is buy me dinner first beautiful.”

The figure laughed at his comment and she answered "Well, people don't call me a monster for no reason you know. But then you wouldn't know that, now would you... newcomer?" She leaned in towards him, inhaled taking in his scent with a hum, before actually biting down on him between his shoulder and neck with strangely sharp teeth, hard enough to draw a lot of blood. However, before she could continue, she heard the distant voices of the police (long before the man in front of her could hear them), and she growled as she looked to the side towards the voices.

She smirked at the man in front of her, and she purred "Well, it's your lucky day, little lamb. But don't worry, we will meet again. Until then... ta ta!" Evelyn ran off into the shadows, her cloak flying behind her as she ran off, and she seemed to have disappeared into the darkness. When she was gone, the light above Kaeden suddenly flickered back on, lighting his surroundings.

After she had gone, the police appeared and asked Kaeden "You there! Have you seen anyone strange or suspicious around here?! We're in pursuit of a murderer!"

Chuckling softly to himself as he watched her run off into the night, he shifted his body against the wall while he reached over with his arm, gently rubbing at the place where she had bit down into him with her surprisingly sharp teeth. She was definitely a feisty one, he’d give her that… and he was sure that her statement about seeing him again was correct, there was no doubt about it, though whether it was so that she could finish her meal, he wasn’t too sure. Raising his eyebrows in slight surprise as he heard a new voice addressing him, he turned his head to look over at the police that were standing around him, taking his time to look them over one by one before he pushed away from the wall, nodding his head as though he had only just remembered something.

“Huh..? Oh, yeah… yeah… Thinking about it, I did see a woman acting a little weird. Sorry to tell ya boys, but she ran off in that direction not too long ago.” Shrugging his shoulders, he jutted his thumb in the opposite direction to what she had actually run… he could of thrown her in the shit, but she had earned a night off in his eyes, “Hey, before you guys go running off to chase this murderer of yours, think you could tell me where I could find Heather Jekyll..? She’s my cousin.”

The leader who had asked Kaeden the questions was about to tell the police to go in the direction that the man pointed, but didn't as soon as he asked about Heather Jekyll. He stopped and he asked in awe "Heather Jekyll...? You mean the Dr. Heather Jekyll? You're her cousin?" He then answered, pointing in the direction towards her home, "Her mansion is that way. You can't miss it. It's bigger then the neighboring houses. Though... your cousin seems to be having a hard time with something these days. Nobody's ever seen her come out in a while," The police shrugged and said "Ah well, you're probably here to help her or something to that measure... and hopefully she can help you with your wound... I'm surprised you're still standing, man," He then said "Well, Good evening," before he called to the police and rushed off in the direction the man pointed towards them, saying the murderer was that way.

Lifting his hand up in a small wave to the men who had helped him out, he turned on his heel, his hand once more returning to his pocket as he began walking, his feet carrying him off in the direction that had been pointed out to him. So his ‘cousin’ was some kind of famous person here, a doctor of some sort… maybe he could get more out of this than he originally thought. But then, maybe that would be a little too unfair on the woman, asking her to give him stuff on top of taking her to a world she would know nothing about. The night, while being a long one, was taking an unexpected turn…

Lifting his hand up from his side once more, he lightly ruffled the hair that covered parts of his face, his feet eventually coming to a stop in front of the mansions door, hesitating for a few moments before he reached out, knocking as loudly on the door as he possibly could… Well, he was here, he might as well get it over and done with.

The door opened to show an old butler with white hair and a rigid posture from years of work as a butler. His age was apparent, but it was clear that his strength had not diminished. He asked the man at the door with a raised eyebrow "May I help you, Sir?"

Turning his attention over to the door as it opened, he raised his eyebrow towards the man that had opened the door. So she was like one of the Royals back in his lands… wealthy, well-off, rick enough to order people around, probably snobby and thinking that she was better than everyone. Well, that was going to make his job so much easier, wasn’t it… Resisting the urge to roll his eyes, he forced a bright smile onto his lips, his arm shooting out to lightly tap against the guys cheek, “Well, look at that, Heather’s doing really well for herself. Looks like ma was right when she said that Heather was gunna be a good influence on me. Thanks for holding the door for me Percy, I think I got it from here though.”

Slipping past him and into the mansion, he once more returned his hands to his pockets, his eyebrows raising while his face showed everyone who could see him that he was impressed with what he saw, everything was so… grand. She really was doing alright for herself… “Oh, yeah, hey Percy, think you could tell Heather that her cousin is here to see her. Thanks, oh and a cup of tea would be great, thank you for asking..!”

The butler glared at the man in front of him, and was especially irked when the man pushed past him and acted snobby. He crossed his arms and he answered the man "Dr. Heather Jekyll is not seeing anyone tonight... Sir, I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to leave,"

“Ah… Now this is where we’re going to have a problem Percy… See, I can’t do that I’m afraid. Not when she’s the one who called on me…” Chuckling softly, he turned back around so that he was facing the butler, his head tilted slightly as he eyed him off, his posture completely relaxed despite the situation that he was getting himself into.

“Now I’ll ask you again… Please inform Heather Jekyll that I’ve arrived…”

The butler glared and he told the man, "Dr. Jekyll would have informed me if she was expecting someone here, Sir. She has not informed me on visitor coming, so please leave, before I call the police,"

Before the situation could escalate, a polite, but intelligent woman's voice called, "Mr. Poole? What's going on?" She walked into view, her glasses on, and wearing white lab coat over trousers and a shirt. She had clearly been in her lab again, working on something to the point of exhaustion, judging from the bags under her eyes. Mr. Poole answered respectfully, "My lady, this man claims to be your cousin and that you called him despite that you said that you didn't want any visitors,"

Heather looked at the stranger and studied him with a cold gaze, never daring to let her recognition show. She remembered him... why was he here? She instead said out loud towards the man "You're bleeding heavily," She then rushed over to where she kept a nearby medical kit and she said to him, "Well, don't just stand there. Take a seat. Mr. Poole, please make some tea. I need to tend to his wounds. The poor man's hurt,"

Mr. Poole nodded and said "Very well, My Lady," He then walked off, as Heather walked over to him with her medical kit. She said to him, "Hold still..." before she started tending to his wound, first disinfecting it with alcohol.

Reaching his hand up to take hold of the rim of the hat that he was wearing, he lifted it up ever so slightly, tipping it in the direction of the butler as he moved out of the room looking quite disgruntled with the fact that he had just gotten away with bullshitting his way into the mansion, returning the strange hat once more back to where it now belonged on his head, he made his way over to the closest chair that he could find, his eyes closing as he leant back against the back of the chair, “Yeah, don’t worry about me beautiful, I’ve had worse.”

Turning his head slightly, he opened his eyes, letting his dark orbs flick over her facial features for a few moments. So this was the infamous Doctor Heather Jekyll… she was pretty- beautiful rather, but again, this wasn’t the time to be thinking about women, “So you’re Heather Jekyll… traveled a long ways to meet you. You better be as special as that bastard told me you are, cause really, regretted this deal the moment he asked me to get the hat, I was never really one for world jumping; Elizabeth though-…”

Frowning heavily, he let his sentence trail off into nothing. He couldn’t talk about her, not yet; it was still too fresh, the pain was still too much. Talking about her would just make it worse… “Ah, yeah… You called for help, so here I am… I am your lift to the Enchanted Forest, and to someone who can help you.”

Heather raised an eyebrow when he made his comment about her while she bandaged his wound. After he said that he was her 'lift' to the Enchanted Forest, to someone who can help her, she asked with suspicion "Do you have proof of that? These days here, one can't be too careful,"

Proof… She wanted proof that he was who he said he was… Really, did no one believe in trust anymore? Okay, so maybe he couldn’t really talk on the subject. He was working for a guy who he refused to trust- he didn’t trust Rumpelstiltskin as far as he could throw him. They both knew that, they both could live with that; it was just one big happy relationship. Dropping his head back, he groaned out in slight frustration, he was going to have to give her some kind of proof… he wasn’t a magic user, he wasn’t like his sister had been, he couldn’t wield magic, he hadn’t even tried, which meant he was going to have to use the hat…

“Argh… fine, I can show you some magic… but once I do this, there’s no going back. The portal will be opened, and it will remain open until we go through it…”

Heather raised an eyebrow before gesturing to him, as though to say 'go ahead'. She had already written her final notes and letters for Poole, and her friend John Utterson, saying good-bye and somewhat explaining what had happened to her. She had planned on killing herself when she got back, but the ruckus caused by this man and Poole had prevented that plan from becoming a reality. She already had her first aid bag, and a bag of chemistry supplies nearby (now in her hands), just in case.

Tilting his head ever so slightly as he looked over at her, he let his eyes linger on her features for what felt like forever, seeming to get lost within her eyes until he snapped his head back to the empty room, his feet lifting up from the ground for only a millisecond before he stomped them back down, the momentum seeming to help him lift his body up from the chair, his arms lifting up above his head as he stretched, a soft groan slipping through his lips as he completed the action. He hadn’t even been sitting for that long, but he had never really been one to sit in the one place- or at least he never used to be, not until he had given up and ended up in the Queen of Heart’s dungeon awaiting death to come and take him away.

“Alright then- but remember, you were the one who asked for this…” Turning his head down slightly as he reached up taking the top hat off of his head, he moved himself forward and into the center of the room, his body leaning over slightly as he flipped the hat within his fingers, holding it so that it was only mere inches off the ground itself. He had seen Jefferson use the hat before, a few times when they were growing up, almost as many times as he had seen Elizabeth use her boots; it was definitely a family trait, the Maddens were know for it, at least, they were known for it in Wonderland… well, they had been known for it… Now he had the hat- Jefferson’s hat. The last thing that he could hold dear that belonged to his best friend, his brother…

Shaking his head for a moment as though to push the thoughts aside, he spun the hat, his fingers slipping from the rim as he quickly moved back to stand once more beside Heather, his arms coming up to cross over his chest as he watched the hat work the magic he knew it capable of working. The hat hadn’t stopped spinning, seeming to defy all logic as it toppled about, the rim morphing and growing wider, swallowing up most of the room as the swirling mass of black and white grew larger, the portal open wide and welcoming to the both of them. Turning his head to look over at her, he held his hand out in her direction, a small smirk playing over his lips at the expression that was covering her face.

“I can take you almost anywhere you want… just don’t ask me to take you to Wonderland, I won’t step foot there again.”

Heather nodded at his warning, telling her that she had asked for this. She had already made a mistake that ruined her life. What's one more mistake in her life? She watched as he took his top hat off of his head, and spun it. She watched the hat, and her eyes grew wide to see the hat defy all laws of physics and actually seem to grow wider.

She looked to the man when he held out his hand towards her with a smirk on his face. She took his hand and she answered "Understood. Shall we then?" She was ready to jump into the hat, and leave London.

So this was it, she had made her choice. Looked like his proof had paid off, and she now believed him to be who it was he said he was-… okay, maybe about the whole being someone who could help her, and not about being her cousin, though how anyone believed that load of garbage was well beyond him in the first place. Either way, there was no going back for either of them; he was completing his part of the deal by bringing her to the Enchanted Forest, and she was leaving the only world she had ever known behind- if she changed her mind when they got there, she was going to have to find another ride, cause as soon as he got the chance, he was going to take himself, his sister’s key and Jefferson’s hat, and then get the hell out of there. He was sticking around for no one.

Waiting until he could feel the soft touch of her hand in his own, he took a gentle hold, squeezing lightly in a sort of comfort as he led her forwards towards the edge of the swirling vortex that was the hats magic, making sure he had a firm grip on her hand, he gave her a simple nod of his head letting her know that they were ready to go, “Alright… on the count of three. One… Two… Three..!”

Pushing off from the ground where he was standing, he forced his body forward and towards the portal that was in front of them, his hand slipping apart from hers as he leapt towards it, his body leading the way towards her new life as he fell down into it, eventually disappearing from sight.

Heather braced herself when he counted to three, and when he called out the number, she too jumped into the portal in front of her, and fell into the darkness. As she fell, she could hear Hyde in the back of her head, cackling,

"It doesn't matter what you do... You will never get away from me, Jekyll..."

-------

He was never going to be able to get used to this… at least not for a while anyway. How Jefferson and Elizabeth were able to do this their entire lives without so much as an injury was well beyond him, and even if they were still there with him, he wouldn’t of asked. Scrunching up his face as he felt a sharp pain shoot up through his legs, he slid his foot back only slightly so as to help himself stay upright on his feet, his eyes opening slowly so that he could look about the room that the two of them had landed in, his attention following his gaze as he looked about the large circular room with strange patterns covering the ground below them, lingering lightly on the brilliant red curtains hanging about before he shook his head, reminding himself that he was almost there… he was almost off scotch free.

Dropping his head down slightly so that he was looking down at his appearance, he brought his hands up to brush himself off, his feet carrying him forward a few steps before she leant over scooping up the hat that was now just that; a hat. Dusting it off for a moment, he lifted it back up so that he could perch it once more upon his head as he took a deep breath, his eyes once more flicking about the room, though this time his attention was focused on the seventeen strange yet unique doors that lined the room, crossing each off in his mind as he searched for the one that he needed…

A brown door with a strange tree design, a sky-blue door with four silver handles, a medieval style brown and gray door, a light red door with logograms covering it, a dark red door with an interesting white pattern, a beautiful red oriental door, a stunning emerald green curtain with the word ‘OZ’ embroidered in gold lettering on the fabric, a full-length looking glass which he knew led to Wonderland, a great glass elevator door, a light brown door surrounded by windows on each side, a pink door, a dull dark grey door which he knew led back to the world without color, a strong wooden door that stood with a stone frame surrounding it, a tan looking door, a door which was a lighter gray in color, a pink brick door… and finally a lime-green door that held a beautifully golden-framed mirror in the center of it.

That was it. That was the door that was going to take them to the Enchanted Forest. Not bothering to look back to make sure that Heather was following him, he made his way over to where the bright lime-green stood out against the red velvet curtains, his hand reaching out so that his fingers were lightly brushing over the gold metal that made up the frame of the mirror that hung fast in the center of it, his attention never once leaving it as he let his gaze flick up to catch his own reflection staring right back at him.

“So this is the door that we need to go through... let me know when you're ready to leave, and then we'll head off, okay beautiful..?”

Heather found herself landing on her feet and in a crouch, having landed expertly to prevent any pain that might have occurred from falling. All thanks to Hyde... She stood up and dusted herself off before looking at the doors around her. She saw the man move towards one of the doors, a lime green door with a mirror that showed Evelyn Hyde in place of Jekyll's reflection, only in Jekyll's eyes.

She answered him, "I'm ready," She then requested as she walked towards him and the door, "And don't call me by any nicknames. You already know my name," She grumbled in her thoughts "Even though I don't know yours," She didn't bother asking for his name though, considering that he looks like he's ready to bolt as soon as he was done with leading her through this place.

Nodding his head in answer to her statement that she was ready to leave, he twisted his hands over the stunning golden frame that held the mirror, his fingers curling around the edges as she gripped hold of them. She had said the magic words: ‘I’m ready’. So now there truly was no going back, not for her, and not for him. Once they passed through the door, he would complete his end of the deal by taking her to Rumpelstiltskin, and from there he was done with it all… he was going to go back to Robin and the rest of the Merry Men, he was going to thank them all for their help in the past years, and then he was going to pack up his things and go away… far away… where no one from the Enchanted Forest was going to find him- Arendelle sounded nice, especially around this time of year…

Hesitating for a few moments, he pulled on the edges of the mirror causing the lime-green door to open up revealing nothing but blackness that was beyond the frame, holding onto the door for good measure, Kaeden stepped to the side, his gaze flicking over to where Heather stood standing stock still and curious before he gestured with his free hand to the black void that would lead them to the Enchanted forest, “After you beautiful… I’ll be right behind you, promise.”

Heather glared slightly, with a raised eyebrow in irritation that he didn't call her by her name. But she didn't dwell on the subject, as she took a deep breath, and she stepped into the darkness beyond the door. Even if she didn't look behind her, she would know if the man was following her or not.

He didn’t miss the glare that she was giving him; it was so obvious across her features that she wasn’t happy with him about calling her beautiful- well it wasn’t like he was lying. She was beautiful, exceptionally so, he just wasn’t into it in that way. Tilting his head slightly as he watched her step forward into the blackness that was the other side of the door, he smiled softly, his hand coming up to gently take hold of the beautiful yet strange key that was hanging around his neck, “We’re almost there… almost finished… then we can be left alone…”

Making his way around the door as he let go of the key, allowing it to drop back against his chest as he stepped forward, his body moving until he had been swallowed up by the darkness just as hers had been moments before hand, the lime-green door seeming to close shut behind him now that it’s job had been completed.

Alan Woodard, Dominic Greyjoy and Eliza Brie

Present Day ~ Earth ~ Lake Tahoe

Previously...

Nodding her head in thanks to the DJ as he passed her the microphone Eliza slowly glanced at the people that stood surrounding her, the nervous knot that had seemed to form in her stomach tightening with every moment that passed her by, her feet slowly carrying her away from the DJ as she moved into her position in the very center of the room, a small and obviously hesitant smile replacing the one that she had moments earlier.

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen... As you all know, my name is Eliza Brie, and on behalf of my father I would like to give a very warm welcome to all of you here tonight, as we celebrate what looks to be another successful Snowfest!" Pausing for a few moments she closed her eyes, giving herself time to take a deep breath before she opened them once more so that she could continue, the young woman's smile becoming less forced as she relaxed herself, "Tonight is sure to be... an exceptional evening - and I am so glad that so many special people have been able to join us here this evening; you all look so great. As always, to our absent friends - we will dearly miss you here. However, tonight is all about celebrating! Tonight is supposed to be one of those wondrous nights! So let's capture some magical moments, let's create many happy memories... and more importantly, let's surround ourselves with laughter and friendship as we celebrate this special occasion together. So please, have fun, mingle and enjoy your evening..! Remember, tonight is just the beginning of something bigger."

-------

Blushing lightly as the crowd around the room began to applaud her lightly, Eliza once more gathered up the bottom of her dress, lifting it up and only just off the ground as she made her way back over to the DJ's table, the young woman sure to hand the microphone back to him before she did anything else. One of two major things down; she had managed to get up and speak in front of everyone without her nerves getting the better of her, now if her luck only continued and no one asked too many questions, then there would be no need for her to do the second thing that had been helping to cause the nervous knot that was both unwanted and occupying her stomach...

Keeping her head down slightly as she walked, Eliza quickly made her way back over to where she had left Alan standing on his own, a small and warm smile returning to her lips as she lifted her gaze back up to meet with his, her free hand dropping the hold she had on her skirt and instead reaching out so that she could take hold of his hand, her face scrunching up and her shoulders hunching slightly as she finally came to a stop in front of him, her eyes searching his for some sort of answer before she had even gotten the question out, "So... Let me hear it... how bad was I really..?"

Not particularly paying attention to anything with purpose, Alan's attention was pulled from the twins who had taken off shortly after Eliza had left to go do her speech. From what he could gather, the darker-haired one of the two (Sebastian, if he recalled correctly from Dominic's files) was wandering around in search of something to do while the other one followed to make sure he wasn't getting into anything that might cause trouble. So long as they weren't over here trying to mosey in on his girl again.

Wait... his girl? He was only in this for one thing... and now that he knew what he knew... was that even a possibility anymore? His stomach twisted into more uncomfortable knots as he looked back to Eliza, listening to her ask if she was okay with her speech or not. In truth, he sort of tuned the whole thing out; his mind being... elsewhere.

Regardless, he straightened up his posture and faced Eliza entirely, squaring his shoulders and gave her a series of small nods, trying to comfort her in whatever way he could.

"You did fine, Eliza. Really."

Unable to help herself as she let a bright smile cross over her lips, her features lighting up at his words and relief washing over her, helping to ease the nervous knot that was still in her stomach even if just a little. Squeezing his hands lightly in her own, she took a step closer to him, closing the gap just a little so that their bodies were pressing lightly against each other, her head tilting ever so slightly as she leant in pressing her lips against his, allowing them to linger there for what felt like a lifetime before she finally pulled away, leaving only inches between their faces, "Thanks, it means a lot coming from you. I was so nervous... I thought I was going to screw it all up... I'm so glad that I managed to do okay though."

Twisting her hands slightly in his, Eliza's expression softened as she entwined their fingers with one another, her thumbs gently brushing back and forth over the pads of his own thumbs, her eyes soft as she closed the gap once more, her lips once again pressing softly against his in a gentle kiss.

Standing on the sidelines of the audience during Eliza's small speech, Dominic joined in with the rest of the applause with a wide, hearty grin on his face, clearly pleased with her words.

By the time his hawk-like gaze had caught onto her getting rather personal with Pinocchio, however, Dominic felt a somewhat protective urge well inside him as he strode towards the duo, unable or unwilling to hide the almost soldierly gait he moved in.

Stopping just mere feet away from the both of them, Dominic rather not-so-subtly cleared his throat, trying to alert them to his presence.

Alan had kissed her back, though his heart wasn't entirely into it; his mind elsewhere thinking about a whole slew of things he wouldn't have ever thought of before... all because now he knew who she was. Hearing a not-so-subtle throat-clearing, Alan pulled himself away from Eliza slightly, his blue eyes happening on Dominic and gave him a half-hearted grin coupled with a light shrug, though subtle enough that Eliza wouldn't have caught on that he and Dominic already knew one another. That wouldn't exactly be easy to explain right now...

Turning around as she heard someone clearing their throat behind her, Eliza lifted her fingers up to her lips, checking to make sure her lipstick was okay before her gaze came to a stop on Dominic standing not too far away from them, his gaze causing her cheeks to turn a light shade of red as she shifted uncomfortably on the spot, always having hated it when he looked at her like she had done, or was about to do something he didn't like, "So, uh... Uncle Dom... what did you think of the speech..?"

Raising a somewhat bushy eyebrow at both their reactions, letting a single hand rest inside his coat pocket.

"Hm? Oh, yes, marvelous speech." He said firstly, letting a small smile cross his scruffy features, though he kept a rather pointed gaze at Alan, a definite stiffness to his posture saying that something -- or someone -- was bothering him.

"You know, that friend, Jaidyn of yours. Incredibly polite young man....he should come up more often." Dominic then declared, his words sounding conversational and non-hostile, though that hardened gaze never left his eyes.

"Huh..? Oh, Jaidyn? Yeah, he's a great friend, we see each other quite a bit actually, especially during our competition seasons. Our sponsors like to encourage us meeting up with others who are like us and are around our age, so they arrange all these parties and events for us." Doing her best to ignore the look that her uncle was giving the both of them, Eliza leant herself back into Alan's arms, her gaze flicking over to where she could see Jaidyn and Sebastian standing and conversing with one another, though what about she couldn't even begin to know.

"We're both quite busy during the year, him especially, so he doesn't get the luxury of coming up here too often. And when he does, the three of us try and have as much fun on the slopes as possible before he has to leave again." Smiling sweetly as she watched them for just a few more moments, she turned her attention back to Dominic in front of her, her head tilting slightly as she brought he hands together in front of her, "Uncle Dom, I'd like you to meet someone. This is my boyfriend; Alan Woodard, the guy I was telling you about earlier. Alan, this is my uncle; Dominic."

Raising both eyebrows and pressing his lips together in what was supposed to be a half-assed, forced smile, Alan inclined his head towards Dominic in a gestured nod of hello. As if things couldn't get any more awkward around here. He hadn't missed the way Dominic had been looking at him, nor the conversation Dominic seemed intent on discussing - he was trying to get Eliza to notice someone else... anyone else except for him. It made sense really, should Alan had been in Dominic's shoes, he couldn't say that he wouldn't do the same thing. Dominic knew who he was... who he really was. A relationship with a piece of talking wood was no good for a Princess, and they both knew it. So the raise in eyebrows and the quirky, pressed smile was more than just an awkward way to say 'how do you do?' It was a look of understanding that went far beyond 'I know' in response to what Alan was sure Dominic was thinking. But, to keep up appearances...

"A pleasure to meet you Uncle Dominic. I have learned so much about you! Quite recently, in fact." Alan said, sticking out a hand for Dominic to shake.

"Yes, of course..." Dominic replied in a tone that was less-than-certain as he took Alan's hand in his own, giving a firm shake though half of his mind was intent on strangling him instead.

"Eliza's kept your identity much of a surprise, I must say." The grizzled man added on in a forced tone, managing a smile.

"How long have you been seeing my niece, then?" He asked in a tone that almost fit an interrogator as his solid gaze never left Alan, receding both hands into his coat pockets.

"Not long actually..." Alan stated nonchalantly, drawing back his own hand to stuff inside the pocket of his (very uncomfortable) dress slacks. "You see, I'm not from here, was doing a bit of vacationing and bumped into her by accident but uh, we'll figure out the details later..."

"Well...I've certainly hope you have good intentions, Mr. Woodard....I find that the best traits in a man are: selflessness, bravery, and truthfulness. My niece is smart...I'm certain she's chosen you for such traits." Dominic replied in a tone that was perhaps more forced than necessary, echoing the three traits that kept reappearing all throughout the tale of Pinocchio, a sort of bitter irony in how he spoke the words.

Alan's jaw tightened immensely, those three words sending his mind into a spiral of self-loathing, bringing him back to the initial point of where all this started. With a bottle of Vodka in the park, thinking back on home.

Shifting slightly, Eliza let her gaze flick back and forth between the two of them as they spoke, the tension was clear... settling around them... thick enough that she could probably cut straight through it with a knife. There was no way she could let it go on, if she did, who knew how much more uncomfortable things were going to get between the three of them. Lifting her hand up, she cleared her throat quietly, her gaze dropping down for only a moment before she lifted her eyes up to meet with that of her uncle.

"Uncle Dom... you flatter me. I'm not as smart as you give me credit for, but I thank you for the compliment under the circumstances." Lifting her hand up, Eliza let her finger lightly brush at her lips for a moment, making sure that her lipstick was still okay, though it was more because she was getting nervous with how things were going, "I'm with him because he makes me smile... he makes me laugh, and feel special... he makes me feel wanted, and loved. And for that I can't thank him enough, though I can only hope that I make him feel the same way, as he makes me feel."

"Hmm?" Alan shifted, coming out of his dark fog of thoughts and giving Eliza his attention again. She had asked him something, or, at least said something to him. Of what, he wasn't sure, so he simply nodded his head a few times and replied with a practiced fake smile, "Yes, of course."

Dominic nodded slowly at Eliza's resolve, though he still seemed slightly unconvinced. "Well, don't leave it to me to ruin a good relationship." He said with a small forced half-smile (he was never one for acting or subterfuge).

"So, Mr. Woodard...when did you first come to Lake Tahoe. I've heard you're performing magic up in the ski lodge, correct?" He asked next, apparently testing (or taunting) the young man on his cover story for the time being.

"I've been here for about a week." Alan replied, giving Dominic a nod to accentuate his words which, for the most part, he was relieved to be able to start speaking straight truths again. "I'm a street performer, thought that a place like this could benefit a little bit from what I do. Though, I didn't come here to show off magic tricks - that was just a bonus. I needed some time away from New York, so like anyone else who visits Lake Tahoe, I'm here for the vacation."

"I'm sure such a vocation keeps you on your feet often. Very interesting...." Dominic replied with a slow nodding of his head before turning his solid gaze onto Eliza. "I'm sorry to separate you two, but I'd like to steal Eliza away for a few minutes, if you please." He said next, casting a brief glance in Alan's direction.

“Of course…” Turning her body slightly so that she was facing Alan, Eliza lifted up on the balls of her feet, her lips pressing softly against his for only a moment before she pulled away again. She was in trouble, or at least, she could tell straight out that her uncle didn’t approve of her choice in boyfriend…

“I… shouldn’t be too long. Wait here for me..?” Sighing softly, Eliza turned around and began to walk, gesturing for Dom to lead the way so that she could follow along behind him, the young woman shooting a small and apologetic smile back over her shoulder at Alan before giving her uncle her full attention, “Okay… so what have I done wrong now..?”

Taking a moment, Dominic brought his hand up to his mouth, clearing his throat briefly before looking down at his niece.

"Listen....I know I'm not around much....you only see me a couple times a year if I manage to even get longer than an overnight trip. But of all the nice boys to find around here who would certainly love a girl like you -- why him?" Dominic asked with slightly furrowed eyebrows, planting both hands in his trouser pockets.

Pursing her lips slightly, Eliza dropped her gaze down to her hands as she brought them up in front of her body, watching her fingers playing with themselves as she ran through his question in her mind. She knew it was going to be something like this… she didn’t even know why it was that she thought it could have been about any other subject. Of course he was going to question her about why she liked Alan… at least until he was happy with the answer.

“I already told you... He makes me laugh; I’m always smiling whenever we’re together… He’s sweet, and charming, and gentle- he doesn’t push me into doing things I’m not comfortable doing.” Unable to help the small smile that crossed her lips, her cheeks turned a light shade of pink at her words, adding to the color that was already there, “He makes me feel special, almost like I’m a Princess… like I’m his Princess... Uncle, I’ve never felt like this towards anyone before; don’t get me wrong, I know it’s stupid- I mean we only just met, but... Forget it, I’m being a moron, things like love at first sight don’t exist…”

"Eliza I've been around a while. Wandered by myself, seen a lot of things....boys like that...more likely than not only want you for sex. It's a harsh reality we live in these days, but that's the way it is. I know how he makes you feel: like you're the one, like you're the most important girl in the world to him....but they don't know commitment. They're like fire...warm and inviting, a comfort, but get too close and you'll burn yourself." Dominic explained in a clearly pained voice, appearing to age before her as he let the blunt words hit her. It was at moments like these where he truly began to look older than he was: his face marked with various stress-wrinkles and subtle scarring, flecks of gray in his shaggy mane of brown hair, and eyes that simply looked....tired. Constantly weary, as though they had seen enough to close now and not open again.

“No…” She didn’t want to hear this… He was wrong about Alan, it was as simple as that… he didn’t know what was going on between the two of them, he was never around long enough to even talk to her about guys, and now all of a sudden he wasn’t approving of the guy that she had chosen… Shaking her head, Eliza unconsciously lifted her hand up to her neck, holding softly onto the wooden pendant of the necklace that Alan had given her earlier when the two of them had been getting ready. That there was proof that her uncle was wrong…

“No, you’re wrong about him. You don’t even know him, so what right do you have to judge him in the way that you are… He may have hinted that he's interested in that sort of thing, and I understand that... he's a guy, but he has never pushed me, he’s respected my boundaries, and he’s shown me nothing but love and kindness…” Raising her eyebrows slightly, she leant her weight over her right hip, her head tilting only slightly as she looked at him questioningly, wondering why he thought he had the right to say what it was he was saying, to judge her choices the way that he was, “I’m sorry, that doesn’t sound like a sleaze to me uncle Dom…”

"No....no I don't know him. But I know his type, Eliza. You're a smart girl....don't let that smile trick you, you'll only end up hurt that way. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, maybe not the day after or even a week from now. But if you're not careful, he will." Dominic added in a somewhat stern but not hostile tone, adopting a posture similar to that of a soldier.

“Heh… I seriously can’t believe that you’re doing this to me… God, I was stupid…” Closing her eyes as she dropped her head slightly, Eliza let go of the pendant, her head shaking lightly from side to side as she thought about how much of an idiot she really was, “Why can’t you just be happy for me..! I have a boyfriend- my first boyfriend… I thought that out of everyone, you would be supportive of me, that you would respect my choices… But now I can see that I was a moron to think that…”

Letting out a heavy breath, Dominic's rather stoic exterior didn't fade at her words, though a slight twitch of his lips was all she needed to see to tell her words had affected him.

"All I want....all I've ever wanted is what's best for you." He said on a final note, clasping her shoulder once more before turning and walking off towards the larger swell of the crowd.

“And how would you know what’s best for me… you’re never here…” Not bothering to wait for a response from him, Eliza turned on her heel, wandering back through the crowd until she was once more standing by Alan’s side, a small and forced smile crossing over her lips as she reached out hugging his arm lightly. This was where she wanted to be, she had made that choice a couple of nights ago when she had first gone out with him, and now people were just going to have to respect her decisions, if they didn’t… well, that was their own fault…

Closing her eyes slowly, Eliza tilted her head so that it was resting lightly against Alan’s shoulder, her grip tightening around his arm ever so slightly. She was tired, already… the party had barely even begun, she had barely even socialized with the other guests in the room, and honestly, she was in doubt that she ever would. The night was just beginning, and she was already wishing that it was over…

Isabella Français and Elizabeth Madden

Enchanted Forest ~ Kingdom of Avonlea

She couldn't do this. It just wasn't right, it just wasn't... love. She didn't love him. She didn't love Gaston, well, at least she didn't love him anymore, that was more to the point. There was a time when she would have done anything to have been with him... to walk down the aisle to where he was standing there waiting for her, to have her father give her away to the man she would be spending the rest of her life with, to no longer be Isabella Français, but instead to be Isabella Le' Gume... but those days were gone. Shaking her head as though to rid herself of the thoughts, Belle gathered up more of her wedding dress, her feet moving as quickly as they could underneath her as they carried her further and further away from her families castle, her long dark brown locks flying back behind her with every step that she took, and her feet kicking up small dust clouds behind her as she ran down the road.

Things had changed, and now she couldn't go through with it. She just couldn't marry Gaston. She wasn't his, she wasn't even sure if she was still the same woman anymore. All she knew for certain was that her heart was no longer his... her heart no longer belonged to Gaston Le' Gume, but instead belonged to another man. All that time spent alone with him at the Dark Castle-... Gods she loved him. It wasn't even something she could describe to herself, let alone try and explain it to another. He was the reason she was running as fast as she could, he was the reason she couldn't go through with the wedding - she would be marrying the wrong man... He was the one she wanted to spend the rest of her life with; she wanted to stand tall and proud by his side, but the first thing was first, she had to get back to him, preferably before she was chased down by her father's knights and dragged back to the castle. She had to get back to him, she just had to tell him... She had to tell Rumpelstiltskin that she loved him.

Turning her head, Belle took a chance and looked back over her shoulder at the path she had been taking, there wasn't anything yet, but there was no way she was getting away with this for very much longer than she was. They were going to realize that she was missing, sooner rather than later, she knew that. So the best she could do was run. Run as far as she could, and until she couldn't run any further. Belle's attention was dragged away as the sound of a ravens caw filled the air around her, her eyes flicking up to the sky just in time to catch the sight of black feathers disappearing among the green leaves of the trees, the forest growing denser with every minute that passed her by.

"A-Ah..!"

Falling backwards onto the ground, Belle shut her eyes tightly, a pain shooting up through her wrist as her mind tried to figure out just what had happened, just what it was that had stopped her from moving in the first place. She had hit something... something hard, but still soft at the same time... a person? No... it couldn't be... They couldn't have found her already, they couldn't have caught up to her yet. That was impossible, she had run not moments after being left alone in her chambers. Lifting her head up, Belle stared at the person standing over her, her brilliant blue orbs searching the grayish-blue ones that stared back at hers, her chest heaving up and down in the white gown as she shook her head lightly.

"Please... Please, you can't take me back there... I can't marry him..."

"M-Marry him..? Woah there... what in Wonderland are you talking about? I'm not here to take you anywhere, I'm here looking for my partner." Raising her eyebrow, Elizabeth stared down at the woman on the ground at her feet, her grayish-blue orbs flicking over the white dress she could only assume was the woman's wedding dress. A bride..? No, the woman wasn't just a bride... from the way she was talking, the look in her eyes... the woman was a run-away bride... Though why exactly she was running away was a complete and utter mystery to her. Shaking her head, Elizabeth reached forward, doing her best to help the woman back up to her feet before she began to dust off the front of the beautiful white gown. If this woman was from around here... then maybe she could help, maybe she knew Kaeden and where to find him...

It had been two weeks... two weeks since she had returned to Wonderland for her last job, two weeks since she had been turned to stone in front of Kaeden's eyes-... Gods she could only hope that he had gotten away before they had caught up with him. He was resourceful... smart and cunning... not to mention he was fast when he set his mind to it. He would have gotten away... he just had to get away, if he hadn't- Elizabeth shook her head, shoving the thoughts straight from her mind, she didn't want to even think about what would have happened if he had of been caught. No, the last time he had gotten away from Wonderland, he had ended up here... in Avonlea, serving the King as a Knight, and if their plan for meeting up, should they ever get separated, worked the way it was supposed to, then here was exactly where she would find him. Somewhere in this Kingdom... it was just a matter of finding him before meeting back up with Robin and the others.

"Listen, I'm not here to take you anywhere, you have my word; thieves honor..! I'm just looking for someone...think you can help me out here? He's about ye high, brown hair, kinda weird but has a body to die for..." Her voice trailed off slightly as she found her mind wandering, her cheeks turning a light shade of red at the thought of Kaeden in that manner, realizing her mistake, Elizabeth quickly snapped herself out of it, turning her attention back to the woman in white, "..Oh, and he goes by the name Kaeden Liddell, you haven't seen him have you..?"

“K-Kaeden Liddell..? I-… I know him, admittedly though, I do not know him very well… He once worked for my father, under Sir Gaston’s instruction…” Belle’s voice trailed off slightly as she spoke about her fiancé, the thought causing her stomach to twist nervously for a moment, turning her head slightly, she looked back over her shoulder in the direction that she had been running from, taking a few moments to make sure that the path was still clear, and that she wasn’t yet being followed. She was pushing her luck by standing around and speaking with this woman, the longer she did, the less time she would have to get away from them if they-… no, it wasn’t a matter of if, it was a matter of when they came looking for her…

Tearing her gaze away from the road, Belle once more turned her attention back to the woman who she was speaking with, choosing now to take the ever fleeting chance to look over the others appearance, her brilliant blue orbs showing just how curious she was about why she was looking for the Knight here of all places. He hadn’t worked in the Kingdom for as long as she could remember, in fact the last time she had seen him was the morning he had set out with some of the other Knights on a routine transport job… the last she had heard was that something had gone wrong… nothing had been recovered, however all the men had returned… all except for Kaeden…

“I’m sorry to give you news I understand you are not going to like, but… I have not seen him for quite some time. If he had been at the castle, I would have been sure to speak with him, I have missed his company, and much has happened since we last saw one another.” Dropping her hands down to the folds of her dress, Belle gripped at the material, ruffling it slightly as though she were pressing the point that yes, much had happened since the last time she had been able to speak to Kaeden. There was so much that she could tell him… but if this woman was looking for him, then maybe something was wrong, maybe something had happened, “I’m sorry I could not be of better help…”

Elizabeth’s chest tightened increasingly at the information that he wasn’t here. He wasn’t back in Avonlea like they had planned… at least, he wasn’t back at the castle, so maybe- yes, there had to be a chance… she couldn’t give up on him, not yet. He was still out there, still alive, she could feel it in her heart. He had gotten away, he had to have gotten away… No, she couldn’t think like that, if she did-… Lifting her hand up from her side, Elizabeth unconsciously gripped hold of the strange looking locket that hung around her neck, her clasp around it tightening and holding it fast against her chest, as though her very life depended on keeping it as close to her heart as she could. She had lost everyone… Jefferson, Grace, Alice… she couldn’t lose him too. She was already alone, if he was gone- oh gods, she didn’t even want to think about it.

“N-no… No, it’s okay… there’s no need for you to apologize to me about this... I mean, it just means that I’m going to have to look a lot harder for him… I-It just probably took him a little longer to get back from home…” Yes… That had to be the reason he wasn’t here yet. Or maybe he had just forgotten about their meet up plan, maybe he was back with Robin and the others, it would explain why it was that she hadn’t run into him yet, and it wasn’t like she had checked in with Robin since she had gotten back… so it was entirely possible that it was where he was. Pulling herself back from her little daydream once more, Elizabeth focused her attention back on the woman in white, watching curiously as she continued to look back down the way she had come from, as though she was expecting something to happen… or someone to come running after her… was that what was happening here..? It helped to make her earlier statement make more sense…

“Woah, sorry about that, didn’t mean to get caught up- are you alright? Like, I realize that you’re obviously not okay; I can only assume that you just ran away from your wedding..? I mean, the dress is kind of a dead give-away…” Furrowing her brows slightly as she watched the woman look over her shoulder once more, Elizabeth leant to the side slightly, her head tilting until it rested completely on her shoulder, her grayish-blue eyes narrowing out of pure curiosity as she did her best to try and find out what was so fascinating about that general direction, “But for a woman who just ran to her freedom, you don’t seem too terribly happy about it. So please, feel free to satisfy my curiosity; I would offer you a cup of tea, but I was never as good as my brother at making it… and I seem to be lacking a kitchen, teacups, and more importantly the sugar bowl…”

There was no denying it… the woman was strange, but it was comforting, it reminded Belle of how Kaeden used to be around her, especially when she was upset. The reference to the tea- it was always something that made her smile… made her feel better, and as she was finding out, it must have been a quirk that everyone he knew from this mysterious ‘home’ had. Unable to help the small smile that crossed over her lips as she continued to watch the woman, Belle furrowed her brows slightly, a soft chuckle slipping through her lips against her better judgement, “Uhm… yes, I am running from my wedding- but I do have my reasons... By this time, I was supposed to have been given away to Gaston, to my husband… but I couldn’t do it. My heart, it does not belong to him anymore. I am in love with another, and I feel as though I have to tell him... even when I know that nothing is going to come from it…”

She paused for a few moments, Belle's head dropping as she brought her hands together in front of her body, her fingers nervously playing with themselves as she did her best to sort through what it was she was thinking… There was no going back from this… at least not that she could see anyway… She was running away from her chance at a life she had once dreamed about, just so that she could tell Rumpelstiltskin that she loved him, even when she knew that he would just turn her away again, send her away from the Dark Castle once more… or worse… She didn’t care though; he had her heart, intentionally or not, she had given it to him, and now she was making her choice. Her choice was him… it was always going to be him. She was never going to be happy with anyone else- Gaston was never going to be able to make her feel that way, not anymore, she knew that.

“..I have to try righ-…”

Belle's words cut off the instant that she heard it. The thundering of hooves… it was too late, they were on their way… she had wasted too much time by standing there talking to- she didn’t even know her name..! She had to leave, now. She had to get out of there, or else she was just going to be dragged back to the castle to go through with a wedding she didn’t want any part of, “I-I’m so sorry..! I-… I have to go now… they’re coming for me… Forgive me for not being able to help you with Kaeden as much as I had hoped to…”

“Wait… Are- Are they after you?”

Frowning heavily as she watched the woman nod in answer to her question, Elizabeth turned her head back and forth, her eyes searching about their surroundings before they came to rest on a couple of trees standing tall by not only a boulder, but also a clump of wild bushes. It wasn’t much, Elizabeth would have preferred to have been in Wonderland with this situation, hiding a woman in a wedding dress behind that was going to be a lot harder than hiding her behind one of the wild mushrooms… not that she had ever been in this situation before. It was pretty damn strange, even by Wonderland’s standards, and that was saying something, “Come on, I’ll make sure they don’t find you, then we can talk about that teaspoon. Cheeky little bastard that one is… He’s always playing hide and go peek-a-boo…”

Not even giving the woman a chance to respond, Elizabeth shot her hand forward, taking a firm but gentle grip on her wrist as she began to lead her over to the only place that she would be able to hide both her and the dress she was wearing. The last thing she wanted to tell the woman was that in order to hide she was going to have to strip. It was completely inappropriate… wasn’t it? She couldn’t really remember the standards of clothing now a days, not with all the ‘hopping’ about she had done as a collector… Oh well, she would be sure to ask Robin about it later when she had the chance, right now she had something to do- what was it again? Oh! Right, she had guests to entertain!

Making sure that the woman was completely hidden, Elizabeth turned her back and made her way back to the road, sitting herself down comfortably in the middle of it before she began to fumble around in her bag, the look on her face one of pure concentration as she searched for something, the sounds of the horses growing louder before finally they came to a stop in front of where she sat, each of the five men looking down upon her before exchanging confused looks with one another. Where was it… she knew she had brought it with her, and if she couldn’t find what it was she was looking for, then she was going to be late, and that was no way for anyone to start the day…

“You there..! I’m looking for a woman… she has a beauty beyond belief… have you seen her?”

“Oh my…” Straightening her back slightly, Elizabeth turned her head to look up at the man who was addressing her, her hands retracting from her bag to pull out a small handkerchief which she laid out on the ground in front of her, her hands once more returning to her bag, searching ever still for whatever it was the girl needed, “Flattery my dear Knight will get you everywhere. I realize that my beauty might be hard for even you to resist dear sir, but I must tell you… my heart is already spoken for by another man…”

“I-… “ Scrunching up his face in slight confusion to her answer, Gaston turned his head, exchanging a questioning glance with one of his men before he shook his head, clearly this conversation was going to need to be taken with a different approach, “..Forgive me, for I was not clear… I am looking for a woman; my fiancé to be precise… long dark flowing locks, eyes as blue as the sky, and as sparkling as the stars that line it during the night… I ask again, have you seen her..?”

“Oh..! That woman..! Pfft, now why didn’t you say you were after a beautiful woman before? Really, you must learn to be vaguer with your requests…” Rolling her eyes as she shook her head, Elizabeth began pulling things from the depths of her bag, each item causing the men to look even more confused than they already were. She had gotten used to those looks, it had taken Robin and the Merry Men quite some time to get used to her quirks, and even then, they were still finding more.

Pulling a teacup and saucer out of her bag, Elizabeth reached up, balancing them both on the top of her head before she pulled out a small plate covered in sugar-cubes and a small teapot that (if one looked ever so closely) looked to be issuing steam out of the spout. Lifting the teapot up above her head, she closed her eyes softly, her shoulders shrugging lightly as she began to pour the hot liquid without so much as a second thought, her other hand lifting up one of the sugar cubes, Elizabeth's eyes opening up so that she could examine it before throwing it over her shoulder in slight disgust.

“Not everyone is like me you know, they aren’t going to understand your every word. Now… about that teaspoon- wait, no, that’s not right… Teaspoon, tea, mouth… Right, about that man you were after. I saw where he went; maybe I did, maybe I didn’t. What’s it to you?”

“Uh… she… my fiancé is a she… and you just said you saw where it was that she went. Please, tell me where she went, I shall make it worth your while; anything that you want.”

“..Ahh…. very well then, I shall tell you what it is you wish to know…” Lowering the teapot down to rest on the handkerchief that she had already lain out, Elizabeth lifted her hand back up to take hold of the teacup, leaving the saucer perching on her head as she brought it to her lips, taking a small sip of the sweet liquid, “The woman in white is who you seek… She zipped past not too long ago actually, ran right into me and went tumbling into the ground, such a shame really… It was such a beautiful dress… Point is, she didn’t choose to hang around, caught sight of me and like the bread’and’butterflies, she flitted off down the road. I believe you’ll be able to catch up to her in the next village.”

Nodding enthusiastically as he listened, Gaston sat a little straighter in his saddle, a look of hope crossing over his features at the thought of being able to catch up to her, and at the thought of bringing her home, “Yes… yes, of course. Thank you so much for your help. Now… about your reward… What is it that you wish?”

“I have but a simple request… A matter that I have been giving much thought to as of late…” Closing her eyes for a moment, Elizabeth let herself take another sip of her tea, reveling in the taste before she opened her eyes again, the cup still lifted as she spoke, her gaze lifting to meet with his, “Tell me… Why is a raven like a writing desk..?”

“I-I… I beg your pardon, what..?” To say that he was utterly confused by her question was a complete understatement, though as a man of his word, he wasn’t going to back down… he just needed to understand that he had heard her correctly first... “I’m sorry… why is a raven like a writing desk?”

She almost choked on her tea. Clenching her jaw tightly, Elizabeth lifted her head up to glare at him, the look on her face clearly showing him and the other Knights that she had been offended by his words, and that she clearly wasn’t happy about that fact either, “Why is a raven..? Why is a raven..?! How dare you ask such a thing of me..! You barely even know me, you animal..! Go, shoo! Get out of here!”

Closing her eyes as she bided her time, Elizabeth waited until they had past her by before she opened her eyes once more, her brows furrowing slightly as she watched a couple of black feathers float down in front of her on the breeze, one falling to the ground while the other rested softly in her tea causing her stomach to churn nervously. It couldn’t be him could it..? No… she was probably just being paranoid, besides, what in the hell would he want with her or the run-away bride she was helping out?

“Y-You helped me… You didn’t have to do that, I mean… you barely even know me…”

It was the third time that she had gotten carried away. The third time that she had gotten lost within her own thoughts… Snapping herself out of it once she heard the womans voice, Elizabeth lifted her head up, her gaze turning over to where the woman in white was standing and looking at her with a gratitude that she hadn’t seen in quite some time, “Huh..? Oh, right. It’s no problem; honestly, I’ve never really been one for the rules anyway…”

Tossing the rest of her tea back over her shoulder, Elizabeth worked quickly with what it was she had in front of her, making sure to get it all back into her bag before she got back up to her feet, dusting herself off as she turned to face the woman, a warm smile playing over her lips as she tilted her head to the side slightly, “Well, the time for tea has past, and that damn spoon still hasn’t shown his face. I’ll have to try again tomorrow… It seems as though I have the rest of the day to myself, how’s about we get you somewhere, where they aren’t going to find you easily?”

She was still willing to help her? Even after she had already done so much… the woman barely even knew her, she didn’t even know what her name was, and yet she was still blindly offering Belle help for the situation she was in. She really was a lot like Kaeden… Smiling softly towards the woman, Belle nodded her head as she took a few steps closer, closing the gap just a little so that the conversation could continue the way it had been earlier, before they had been interrupted by Gaston and his men… “That would be really amazing; I can’t thank you enough for all your help Lady..? I’m sorry; I just realized that I never actually caught your name…”

“Ah yes! Names! Interesting things names are, especially when one can’t remember their own. Such power, for such a tiny and seemingly insignificant detail…” Elizabeth's voice trailed off slightly towards the end of her sentence. She had heard Caterpillar speak about names before, and the power that they held, though she never really put too much stock into it. Forgetting names was basically an art form, especially in Wonderland; it was something they learnt to do at a young age, though the skill was never perfected no matter how much they tried. Chuckling softly, Elizabeth held her hand out to the woman in question, a bright and warm smile playing over her lips, “The name is Elizabeth Madden, but most people call me Lizard. You can certainly do the same thing, cause I can’t see any reason why you couldn’t.”

“Lizard… It’s very fitting. Well Elizabeth, it’s a pleasure to meet you. To be honest with you, I don’t think I would have gotten very far without your help, and for that I owe you much.” Smiling sweetly towards the woman she now knew as Lizard, Belle reached out and took hold of her hand, shaking it softly as she thought about the fact that she had unintentionally made a friend by physically running into her. It was a strange way of meeting, but now that she had done it, it didn’t seem so strange after all.

“If I am to be truly honest, I am really glad that I ran into you. Isabella… My name is Isabella Français, though please, everyone calls me Belle.”

Belle - the name seemed to echo off into the distant treetops and beyond. The Raven, perched in its branch, looked down upon the duo with its heartless black eyes, staring intently as though it were eyeing a piece of carrion.

The woman who had earned the attentions of both the Dark One and the Evil Queen, standing there so oblivious, completely unaware that the two gods of the Enchanted Forest were playing a grand game of chess with her as the lucky pawn.

Cawing once, the Raven took off into the air with a resounding beat of its wings, whooshing through the treetops before disappearing once more into the heavens above.

Elizabeth’s attention was drawn up to the sky as she heard the sound of a raven’s caw, her smile fading into a frown as her gaze caught upon the tail end of what was unmistakably black feathers, the same black feathers that she had come into contact with moments earlier. She wasn’t happy with the situation… wasn’t comfortable with it what so ever. Something just didn’t seem right, wasn’t sitting well with her, and that right there was reason enough for her to get the two of them moving from this spot on the side of the road, “..It’s an honor to meet you Belle… come on, we should get moving before they realize the information I gave them is as useless as the Dormouse during nap time…”

There was no need for her to scare Belle, no need to tell her that she thought she had seen him… not when she wasn’t even sure that they had been watched… it would just cause unnecessary panic for them both, and that was the last thing she needed. Motioning with her head for Belle to follow, Elizabeth began leading the way down the road, heading now in the opposite direction to which she had originally been moving, her stomach churning nervously with each and every step that they took together… this day was already proving to be a long one…
