Your Story So Far:

Welcome to the Realm of Amonor, a vast land ruled by Grand Marquess Edun Lonefire. You have the distinguished privilege of being enslaved and executed for high treason, conspiracy, and murder of Archtemplar Tancred Lonefire, eldest son of the Grand Marquess. You don’t remember anything except your name though. You have a feeling you used to be someone great, but perhaps this is just your own personal conceit speaking to you.

Two weeks ago, you arrived here in this village, isolated in the Belgo Steppe. It was a slave camp, where criminals came to labor in the mines, either to die or pay off their debts to society. Important looking officials barked at you, tortured you, and sent you down into the treacherous mines. Each day, you have worked and worked endlessly, only getting moments of sleep before getting back to business. Sometimes guardsmen would come down to fetch you, only to bring you up to beat you. They wanted answers. Who were you working for? Why did you do it? What did you hope to accomplish? You didn’t have a clue as to what they were talking about. After all, you couldn’t remember a thing.

The night before your scheduled execution, a mysterious man arrived at the front gates of the camp. He was grizzled and old yet he demanded your release. Naturally, the guards refused, laughed at him, and attempted to send him away. What came next was a massacre Amonor had not seen in years. This old man slaughtered the guardsmen and any who challenged him, a flurry of tempered steel and vengeance. This proved to be enough of a distraction for another figure to sneak into the camp.

While you were in your cell on death row, this sneaky rogue infiltrated the cell block and freed you from your shackles. He introduced himself as Tychus of the Shattergarde. Strangely, he looked exactly like the man taking on the entirety of the camp’s defense. Hastily, Tychus, yourself, and your 5 “co-conspirators” made a great escape. However, this is just the beginning.

You have yet to rediscover your fleeting memories.

This land is huge. I'll add more portions of the map as we go.

Important Notes:

  • I don't think I need to say anything about physical (ex. knight) or cunning (ex. rogue) characters since they're rather obvious in what they do, but if you need any specifics on anything, just ask.
  • I will be conducting the story and controlling the various NPCs and Events that happen in this world. Sometimes I will introduce a poll that you all will decide where you go or how you handle a situation as a group.

Rules:

  • General site rules. No Godmodding, no perfect characters, no cybering, you get the point.
  • Let me know if you're going on a hiatus - Try to be active at least a few times a week.
  • Quality over quantity - Seriously, I don't expect tons and tons of writing. A few solid paragraphs is enough.
  • 1 character of a race/class. No duplicates! Diversity is exciting!
  • Unsure about something? Just ask me!
  • Most importantly: Have fun!

Character Sheet:

  • Be creative with your character! If you have an idea, bring it to me and we can work something out!
  • Accepting 6 characters! Not against accepting 7, for the right person. If too many people request to join, I will choose the most fitting for this RP.
  • Preferably would like to have a balance of magic users, physical, and cunning characters, but imbalance may be unavoidable.
  • Races taken: Fairy, Nymph, Half-Orc, Half-Elf, Elf, Human
  • Classes taken: Druid, Assassin, Barbarian, Monk, Knight, Priest
"I hope I didn't make you wait long," she said apologetically. Straightening up, Shizuka blinked in mild confusion, her eyes darting around Alban's head, her gaze peering over his shoulders, looking for the person she expected would be present. Shizuka decided to pay it no heed, 'Mrs. Alban' was probably waiting inside to get out of the rain. "Thank you so much for inviting me. I've never had French cuisine before. I'm really looking forward to it."

"Oh, no. Don't worry, I've only been here for 5 or 10 minutes. I'm an early bird, I suppose." he responded to her, noticing her eyes dart to and fro as though she was expecting someone else. Al was a bit confused by that, but he played it off. Perhaps she had just seen someone or something behind him. "You've seriously never had French food before? You've been missing out on a lot, mademoiselle!" the blond man exclaimed, adding a pseudo-French accent to his last sentence. He quickly opened the door for her, and ushered her inside.

The restaurant's aesthetic was very authentic inside, very much resembling the Parisian eateries he had been to in his time in France. The floor consisted of black-and-white tiles, the ceiling, a nice cream color, was adorned with many lights, and the walls were a mahogany brown. If Alban didn't know better, this place could be mistaken for being a real French diner. Their hostess, a young Japanese woman, greeted them with a curt bow. "I have a reservation under the name Voclain for 9:35. There's 2 of us." Alban told the hostess. Checking the list over, the woman quickly found his name. "Right this way please." she told them, now holding two menus in her hand.

They were led to a private booth in the corner of the restaurant, away from the prying eyes of the public. A single flickering candle was sat in the middle of the table, its small flame dancing to its own beat. Fortunately, there weren't too many people eating here this late at night on a Sunday, so the restaurant felt relatively exclusive and quiet. As they sat down, their waiter came over. "What can I get you two to drink?" he asked them. Al thought for a moment, rubbing his chin. "Can I get a bottle of red wine and two glasses? And of course whatever she wants." the blond man requested, shooting a look at Shizuka. "If you want the true French experience, you'll need at least a glass of wine with your meal! It accentuates the taste."

Alban appeared to be entranced by this restaurant, a giddy smile on his face. "This place reminds me of home... It feels like forever ago." he uttered, his eyes sparkling in the light.
@Stern Algorithm
@AtomicNut Yeah i think Ventrue is the only one we really need someone for now. xD Should be fine.
We have 2 interested thus far:
A human swordswoman/alchemist and a Summoner.
@Themerlinhawk Yeah go for it xD
@Themerlinhawk Elizabeth injured a few Malkavians. Naturally, the sight of a Grangrel in their domain has caused quite a stir xD

@BlackPanther That's kinda how my job is. It's sorta boring, although I can generally dick around without anyone saying anything.

No fight scene with the Wraith now since Malkavians are gonna be buzzing around xD
The wind rustled through Lyla's hair, bellowing it in the air around her. She began to stir just a bit, coming out of her unconscious state. Immediately, the smell of rotting flesh filling her nose at once. Nausea seized her stomach and she gagged, forcing her eyes open. What she saw made her scream: she was 20 stories above ground and quickly moving vertical. Panic seized her and she started to thrash, beating against the back of the black figure that held her.

"Stop that, damn you." a harsh hiss lashed at her. The Wraith was scaling St. Paul's Cathedral with a single hand, hopping from ledge to ledge like an incredibly acrobatic mountaineer. Lyla didn't listen though. She kept shifting and smacking the mysterious being's back until she actually slipped through the Wraith's grip, free falling to the ground now. "Fucking girl..." they cursed, latching a death grip onto a ledge before just barely swinging their free arm to seize the dhampir's foot. Lyla hung there, leering at the earth below her with wide eyes. A bit of fear and nausea induced vomit escaped her mouth and plummeted to the ground. If she survived this, she silently vowed to never go outside again.

They hung there like a barrel of monkeys. The Wraith's momentum was lost now and his back was against the wall, legs dangling freely. Their unseen eyes looked back and saw the form of Sir Craven gaining some ground. Strangely, Elizabeth had just skidded past him. Another presumably curious man followed them, yet there was something more the creature felt in the air around him... It was not panic. It was zeal. Hatred.

"Malkavians..." the assassin seethed, narrowing in on the figure of Elizabeth. The Malkavians were on full alert now, no doubt. This was their territory after all. She had done something, hadn't she? Not only would they have to deal with Thomas' pursuit, but also the mess the Guardian had caused. Oh, she was definitely going to get a scolding tonight. To make matters worse, the ledge the Wraith clang felt like it was about to snap under the pressure of their grip combined with their weight. They couldn't hold onto her for much longer. Either the assassin dropped the girl so they could escape, or they fell along with her. The choice was easy to make, needless to say.

"Ah... So you kept up, my sweet Sir Craven. You've gotten so much better since I last saw you. I remember when you were but a whelp in our community. Even then, you were always a bit more skilled than your peers. And now you stand there, a Prelate just like I." the Wraith stated, laughing softly at the Prelate. "Are you worthy of that title though, Craven? I have a test for you. It's simple, really: Save this girl before her entrails are splattered from here to the Tower of London. Can you live with yourself if you fail?" The jeering laughter of the Wraith grew louder as he tossed Lyla into the air, once again dropping to her doom.

While the assassin made his getaway, the poor girl watched as the concrete got closer and closer. Maybe death wouldn't be so bad though? She tried to close her eyes and embrace her fate, hoping the afterlife was better than what she had lived.

@luclovers @BlackPanther @themerlinhawk
@BlackPanther Hey, at least you're guaranteed some serious money from being in that field xD

I'm a GIS guy, so that's my major. I work with the state government on a historical mapping project. Easiest job/major that pays fairly well.

@Themerlinhawk I'm right there with you. My second to last semester is hell... Capstone + 2 speaking intensive classes.

Also post coming up soon.
