The next level we've termed as tech-wanking. That's when you go on-and-on about the mundane technical specifics of something technical, like a car: or commonly a gun, tank, or something for combat.

It's usually dry but it crops up a lot I feel in NRP where people want to be absolutely sure everyone knows they have DA BEST WEY-PAUN.

I am fairly sure that one HAS to be a real trope. I mean, Tom Clancy exists (or existed), and if there is one thing that man loved more than America, it was intimate descriptions of military tech.

Usually I try to avoid tech descriptions because I figure that, if I go into detail there, I will reveal that I am absolutely a dip-shit.

I don't know... I still think there is much more to say about men who build their success from the ground up than there is about men who were given all the resources they could ever hope for right from the womb. Like, if I was in Trump's position, I wouldn't have struggled to be rich. But if I were in Dre's position?

And Trump is marketing to old people. That is his support base; I don't think i've met anybody in my age group who had much positive to say about him no matter which side of the fence they are on. If the democrats can get a candidate that can whip up the young vote AND the minority vote, this'll be an interesting election and we might end up with an historical Democrat double dip. Otherwise... i'm not sure a Trump presidency is impossible.
