Woah. That fight is going to be HELLA POWERERERERERED. Uncomfortably powered, if you ask me, but i have been known to stick to a very mild level of superhuman.

The difference is, swords aren't NPCs, they are classified as equipment - and most people recognize that, which is why you wouldn't see anyone auto take your swords, unless they are one of those super godmodders.

But, it's not two different things. If you enter with day a main character, and he has say, 4, flanking people. Those are considered NPCs, the one that isn't is the main character and they fall under the general NPC rules. Unfortunately, those didn't also make the jump to NuGuild, as it were, but they are the same.

I liken it to the Skallagrim vs DJ fight, again. A Gothi vs a team of trained veterans; CHo was the main one, leader as it were, and even though the rest were trained, they were still considered NPCs. If they weren't, and were more or less considered individual characters, that would have been a wholly unfair fight.

Rilla, but what if the character is a summoner, having controllable allies mentioned in his CS?
<Snipped quote by Vordak>They kind of have the same role in a battle, though.
Also rather than NPC characters it's more correct to call mercs and such as "minions".

What i meant is that an NPC is added to enhance the storyline, and that any kind of subordinates your character has will belong to a different category, should they be able to actually influence the fight.
<Snipped quote by Rilla>That doesn't sound fair.
I can understand if there are more lax rules regarding NPC fighters but the way you worded it'd mean the enemy character does a random AoE attack and kill everyone but the other player while technically the said soldiers may have means to do something against it.

If i remember right, NPC characters aren't the same as summons. Summons, unlike NPCs, are actually meant to influence combat, instead of simply adding flavor context to it.
<Snipped quote by Rilla>I was pretty much openly asking people if they wish to fight Lacuna Lynx.
Admittedly, this method isn't the most effective.

The more active of the arena folk are already occupied with fights of their own, so that may be part of why you haven't found an opponent yet.
Bartimaeus actually managed to surprise me. His most recent post gives him a solid opportunity to turn the tables around and retaliate, even though Kray did get painfully hit.
So, shall we start the practice fight now?

Me Vs Important, Imaginary Vs Atomika?
Are there currently any criteria for judging a characters power level or has that been just been put down to the judgment of the opponent? To clarify I am taking about the Normal, Normal-Powered, Powered, and High-Powered qualifications. I am having some difficulty deciding what qualifies for each level as it seems to be quite broad.

Mostly it is left for the opponent to judge.
By much less, he means zero.

I say give Imaginary the more experienced one and make it a true practice/mentoring thing.

Then it's Kallisto Vs Vos.

Being the only other fighter who actually uses bladed weapons as his main, he'd be the second in terms of skill - and i do have an itty bit of insight into HEMA to somewhat back that up. :P
