It does make sense in the context that it's used in. Obviously that wouldn't work in reality, but what that short confusing jumble of words meant is again "Shit gets cut by displacement". No, your ego should not be bruised at all.

Yay! I do like a character with some elaborate description to their abilities, don't get me wrong: it's just that a spatial displacement field made sense to me, but i could not fathom how a gradient should be applied to it. It'd be totally cool if there was an explanation to that; in fact, i'd stomach the debilitating strike to my ego if i got to hear it. XD

But the question still remains - should my ego be hurt because i do not understand what that directional spatial dispersion gradient field means, or is not supposed to make any sense?

Is it just "scientific mumbo-jumbo", or does this actually have something to do with the mathematical concept of a gradient being applied to some sort of field that disperses the spatial coordinates of an object?

We are capable of being versatile. This is just our most comfortable playing standard, as the old communities we frequented held their meta incredibly high.

I find weaker characters easier to manage when aiming for realistic combat, as they will be almost identical to a real life martial artist or soldier in the way they fight. Im a big fan of sword-fighting and hand-to-hand, so there's that.
