The inherent problem with that, and the solution as it were;

Problem: If you win one fight, you're at 100 percent. All you really have to do is hope everyone else loses at least once, and you're good.

Solution, which in hindsight, doesn't fix the problem: Move them up and down the ladder based off 100% + how many wins you have. Still, you lose once, and you're down below Mr. One Win Shawty

Mr. One Win Shawty shall be sent to the One win purgatory. >:(((

Usually, the best way to do that, is 6/8(6 wins out of 8 fights); 3/4= 75%

Oh, that certainly works much better. I dun goofed.
As what, percents? Or flat out wins.

Percents of course. Maybe it would be something like [6 wins to 2 losses = 300%], [4 wins to 5 losses = 80%].
Maybe we will just base the leaderboard on a win/loss ratio?
From reading, my assumption is his comment was in response to acknowledging that while he himself was aware of the power levels of the characters in the tournament, his character was not - the rationale for why he was hiding in a tree and not directly engaging.

Judge plz!
The students fared well, each already showing hints of their own unique battle styles, but Vos attention to their fight waned as he pondered the extent of his own skill. This would be the final chance to brush up his form before the tournament, so he had to figure out what would be best to improve on. The broadsword and daggers being his weapon of choice, he came to a conclusion that putting on pressure with quick slashes and working well in the bide would be most important for him – that way, he would capitalize on their nimbleness and make good use of having weapons in both hands.

While making a run down of his usual attacks and counters, Vos was interrupted by his ears picking up the sound of approaching footsteps. As he turned around to see if it where who he thought it was, his initial assumption proved to be true, the person walking up to Vos and introducing herself as Hikaru, his sparring partner for today’s match. Answering with a nod to her question, he stood up and accepted her hand, giving it a firm, but welcoming shake.

“And my name would be Vos’stoorge”, said the mageblade, approaching a nearby rack with weapons and armor. “Sorry if this inconveniences you, but I prefer to use metal replicas for training. You are welcome to use our equipment though, if you find yourself lacking any - and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. Knowing how a real weapon handles is invaluable knowledge if you ever plan on using your skills someday.” With these words said, he drew a basket-hilted broadsword and a parrying dagger from the rack, holding the latter in an icepick grip.
“Well, I’m ready whenever you are.”

That would have been a helpful explanation to have.

So based on that, you probably can execute the move; though it puts you in a pretty compromising position.

I find it to be one of the best i have at hand now, as Vos'stoorge's offensive capability overwhelms Alexis' in this situation. Certainly not too safe, but worth a try.
what he did is commonly called an interrupt, which is as its name implies.

His sheet doesn't mention leg strength, which is what he used to do it, but does include burst strength, though I'm not sure what that is.

I'm inclined to think he can, maybe not quickly, but it also leaves him still mid-air, and if you're clever, at your mercy to do your own counter.

Burst strength is the ability to use as much of the muscle's power as possible in the shortest period of time. He has considerably more fast-twitch muscle than the ordinary fighter does, fatiguing faster than one would expect from a superhuman, but also being capable of very powerful muscle contractions. Basically, he will be trying to quickly overpower Alexis before the centrifugal force even gets strong enough.
Sorry for the wait. I've got a draft version of the post ready, but as i'm dissatisfied with the quality, i'll go to sleep right now and brush it up in the morning.
