What are you talking about?

You're forcefully opposing my distaste for "normal" things.
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>

Since Phiaxes is closest, we're dropping off the abduction team first.
*Slows down and the planet Phiaxes comes into view, looking much like Earth with green portions of land and blue oceans, but some of the portions of land are a much deeper blue than water, and many other portions are clearly urban*

*a second Maddie is there* Ready!

Just acknowledge me darn joke, lad. I already understand whatch ya mean.

It was pretty funny though, yeah.

And yet, the human race, with all its faults and fails
Never ceases to amaze, with potential it entails.

It's the best.

see Jacob gets it and is fine with it why can't you
everyone has tastes you know
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

But he himself is a normal human.

I'll amend my statement, then (again): The not particularly special things that normal humans on real life Earth do do not appeal to me.

*Toby shakes his fist at you in the distance*

He does cool non-normal-human stuff too, using non-normal-human stuff.
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

That wasn't a straw man by any means. It's actually using your own example to show that the concept is flawed.

But you should understand what I'm trying to say. Normal humans do not appeal to me.
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

They're not mercenaries. And you had a plenty of those, yourself.

for like five seconds
Also, straw man omq
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

But the whole purpose behind the exposition is that it's not an everyday thing.

I forgot to respond to
>Isn't sarcastic.

I also said not particularly special. Being normal humans, mercenaries or not, counts as not particularly special to me.
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

This isn't a fantasy Roleplay. The multiverse exists so every genre can apply.

Of course. It's just everyday, not-particularly-special things I don't like.
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

Not every part of every story needs to be full of action.

Of course not. But even with exposition in fantasy stories, there's elements of fantasy. For me to actually write or roleplay a story without any elements of fantasy? That is something I won't do.
