The Mindscape all depends on how you see a brain. When I think of visualising pain, the first thing I think of is Red-Hots, for some reason, so pain receptors manifested similarly for me.

@Legend *Shinji's mindscape manifests around the two of us* Pain centres, pain centres, pain centres... here. *the Mindscape shifts quickly around us until it reaches an area filled with red orbs with varying connections* I'm not sure how you like to view the Mindscape, but the red orbs represent pain receptors. Bigger ones are more recently used. The place is, of course, scannable, and two scans at once will make it easier to find what we need to find.
